I agree. Indian TV is very limited and even when they try to introduce a new concept...they fall short and in my opinion probably because the mass TV viewers would not take kindly to it. I am international fan and I watch only Sanaya. Since I subscribe to Sony I have tried to watch some of the other shows and quite franky none interest me in any way even though they seem more contemporary then the shows on Star Plus to which I had previously subscribed to.
Sanaya is the only Indian actress that fascinates me...she can be a huge star...she needs a proper platform and challenge to bring out her multi faceted talent. Indian TV is not going to do it and neither is Bollywood. I think a character like "Annie" Walker in the american show Covert Affairs would be great or like Sydney Bristow in Alias...Sydney... great character.
For now I will watch Chhanchhan for Sanaya.
