As I read the story I can't help but feel those"thorns in the heart" scenes of Aarti being blamed for an abortion when it was a miscarriage, of the demand of her mother in law for a divorce and the heartbreaking scenes of the two of wanting to be together but afraid of opening up to each other. They are prolonging the agony of being hurt by not communicating to each other and instead listening to others who makes the decisions for them.
