Hypocrisy and a downright Unethical friendship!

honestly, I have never liked Asad's character...he is judgmental, extremely prejudicial, regressive in thoughts and hypocritical...I simply cannot tolerate such qualities In a man but above all I was shocked when he slapped her...that was when I completely started despising the character...but saying that I did start giving him the benefit of doubt and stated accepting him in Zoya's life because he showed signs of empathy. But, his recent interactions with Billo is probing me to think differently once again...Asad is being downright unethical here with his so called friendship...I am sorry, I grew up having very close friend who are boys since kindergarten ...some of whom are still my best friends but in no way do I hold their hands or hug them as Asad and Billo does...it's absolutely unethical and is an insult to our respectively partners.

It's pukeworthy and downright unhealthy type of friendship. Sorry but this is not JUST friendship. Tanveer touches Asad with a purpose and Tehzeeb wala Asad doesn't seem to mind. Infact he enjoys the fact and even goes on ignoring Zoyas discomfort to let Tanveer touch him. WTH.

I have never liked Asad...he is so full of himself about this so called tehzeeb and I felt him always mentioning that she is not right for him is very insulting. I actually wish Asad and Billo to be together...he really deserves her...that's it...I have said it. Just leave Zoya alone because she deserves better than this treatment.

[/QUOTEits unethical from where I see it...there hugging from no angle looks innocent or the constant holding hands...and no I don't see him look her as a sister. He was conscious enough to pull his hands off her shoulder when he saw Zoya looking at them...he wouldn't be doing that if he were with Najma. There has to be boundaries in every relationship...I really don't care about Asad or for the matter about his so called relationship with his Tanu but I definitely don't want to see him disrespecting Zoya repeatedly. As a matter of fact I think Tanveer would be a wonderful bride full of tehzeeb for him...just like he wants. Him repeatedly mentioning that Zoya isn't good enough for him is getting really irritating. Asad and his Tannu is made for each other...I am just happy that I don't have to try to like Asad anymore.

On an honest note.. I agree with you and here's what I think

ITanveer and Asad are both from conservative backgrounds right? I am too! I am a muslim, from a semi conservative background. I wear jeans, but I wear long tops with them. So I'm sort of half way with Zoya here I guess.. lol!

Coming to the issue of friends of opposite sex, I do have those too! I have a guy family friend who I grew up with and I've not met for over two years. We still talk thanks to technology and all, but I can NOT imagine any scenario where I would hug him! If I did, even because I was crying my eyes out over something, he'd find it weird! I'd find it weird! Because of our backgrounds! He'd probably step away the next minute regardless of my feelings! We hugged when we were young, but right now, unnecessary touching of hands and brushing of bodies and constant hugs like 'my life depends on you'.. no! That's not friendship.. That's more. And if I suddenly did start behaving like that, he'd probably think I like him!

Asad hugging Zoya back, he actually loves her! And Zoya hugging Asad when she's in pain, she's from a different background here! So it actually makes sense in a different way!

So hence, I feel that they are stretching the idea of friendship! It IS unethical to conservative families, and VERY hypocritical of Asad who prides in 'tehzeeb' and all those complicated words in the urdu dictionary regarding all this..

exactly...I have very close guy friends but in no way do we hug in the manner they are showing as friendship and believe me I have been raised In a very progressive family where boys were always welcome for lunch and dinners and we have gone to numerous movies together but nowhere can I associate with this kind of behavior. It is highly inappropriate and Asad's hypocrisy is overbearing. Have you seen the new spoiler video where Billo apparently gets burnt ...I really don't have any more patience for her nonsense.

Yeah I did!! I was just SO disgusted at her acts for one..and two.. I really don't know what I'm going to do.. either sit out this whole Billo Rani sequence..or write fanfictions where things go differently.

A week back.. I used to just read written updates because I was so sick of Asad's behaviour.. Then I started enjoying the whole Singham sequence and jealousy track. Now it seems like we're back to square 1 where Tanveer holds so much importance in his life.. he forgets his fiancee nearly died!!!!!
