Ranveer's Office
It was late at night as Ranveer put the finishing touches on the Cyber Cafe Project, he could see Khushi working steadily through the corner of his eye. Ranveer sighed and rubbed his eyes; he was tired, the news of his coming neice/nephew had brought great joy to the family. After a really long time there was finally something to celebrate. A small smile tugged Ranveer's mouth as he remebered the proud look on Jai Mama's face. Khushi, noted the smile as she looked up. It transformed Ranveer's from sullen and scowling to handsome. His sharp cheekbones jutting out. He looked human and more approachable and the man that she had fallen in love with. For a moment time stood still and it felt that her heart had stopped beating. She sucked in a deep breath and let it out as the realisation sunk in. She was in love with Ranveer. Had been from the day that he had taken her into his arms and protected her. As the months had passed she came to love him even more; she found out that as hard as he seemed on the outside he was just as soft inside. As if noticing her gaze on him, Ranveer looked up and smiled tiredly at her.

Another hour passed with both Ranveer and Khushi sneaking glances at each other. Finally, Ranveer stood up and stretched out it had been a long day as he had missed half the office day by congratulating Mamaji and Bani MAmi. Ranveer glanced at his watch and noted that it was eleven. Khushi had stayed late since he needed help. "Khushi, come on I will drop you off home its very late." Khushi looked up and nodded. She gathered her bag and files. Ranveer opened the door for her and she glided by. Ranveer caught a faint whiff of her perfume - it was soft and sweet just like her. They went down to the parking lot, both staring at each other through lowered lashes. Ranveer thought that he had never seen anyone as beautiful and as innocent as Khushi, he wodered how long he could continue lying to himself, as at the sight of her in her black sari, with simple silver embroidery his heart rate speeded it. Khushi looked at Ranveer and saw a man with a hard shell and a soft inside. He was strong and gentle at the same time, and when ever he looked at her or smiled at her, her beat stuttered in response to him. The bell of the lift jerked them out of their thoughts. They preceded in silence to the car and Ranveer reached around and opened the passenger door for her. She slid pass him and gracefully sat down. She turned to close the door, but her breath instead came out in a whoosh as she saw Ranveer kneeling down by her side, their faces merely inches away from each other. She glanced down and saw that Ranveer had her pallu in his hand. He gently placed it in her lap and stood up and closed the door. Ranveer started the car and drove off.
After a mile or two, the car started to make some noise and suddenly died. The car rolled to a stop, and Ranveer rather comically glanced at Khushi as if she knew the answer. Khushi said, "Sir, I think you need to check under the bonnet of the car." Ranver nodded and got out, cursing mentally at the fact that he had let the driver go today. He knew nothing about cars and what was under the bonnet. He was rich; the driver had always been there for those things. He opened the bonnet and immediately started coughing as he breathed in steam and smoke. When the smoke had finally dispersed, Ranveer peered in and was totally confused at the sight before him. He could make out the engine and that was about it. He peered in closer and put his hand in and touched some wire. He let out a yelp and jumped back, hitting his head on the bonnet, causing a muffled curse to come out. Khushi was leaning by his side all of a sudden asking what hapened. He shook his head to clear the pain "I'm fine, I just hit my head..." Ranveer fell silent as Khushi ran her hands through hi hair, checking for any bleeding and bumps. She pulled back as Ranveer straightened and said "Ranveer...sir, your not bleeding. What shall we do now?" Ranveer looked around and wondered if his brain was fuzzy from hitting it on the bonnet or from Khushi touching him. "Uummm, lets gi find a taxi," Ranveer said and together they started walking side by side. After a tiny while when they came upon no taxi, Ranveer noted that Khushi was rubbing her arms and shivering slightly. He tugged off his blazer and draped it over her shoulders. Surprised khushi looked up into Ranveer's face. "Wear it, your shivering." Khushi just nodded and let the heat of Ranveer's body seep into through his jacket. It seemed that Ranveer was like a furnace, his heat warmed her up. They finally found a taxi and jumped in before it drove away. Khushi gave her address and the taxi driver, an old man said "Lagta hai nayi nayi shaadi hue hai dono ki, is liye aise itni raat go phir rahe ho bahir." The old man grinned. Khushi turned a dark shade of red, whilst Ranveer sat frozen as he imagined him and Khushi inanother time another place. Khushi's house finally arrived. It was a small apartment complex. Khushi asked how much and the driver told her 25 rupees. Khushi reached into her purs but Ranveer stopped her. "I'll pay, its because of me that you had to stay at the office so late." He Pulled his wallet out of his trousers and looked through. Khushi noted that he was truning a bit red. "Sir s everything okay?" Khushi asked concerned. Ranver turned a bit darker and said; "I don't have any cash on me. I only have my credit cards." Khushi laughed and said; "Lagta hai aise travel karne ki aadat nahi hai aap ko. Let me pay and than you can pay me back." Khushi laughed again and Ranveer smiled in reponse. "Bhai saab, inko Walia Mansion thak drop karde na, yeh li jiye sau rupee, itna kaafi hoga na?" Khushi said to the driver. Finlly the taxi pealed away and Ranveer was lost in his thoughts of Khushi.
When Ranveer finally got home he collapsed tiredly on the sofa. He heard a noise and saw Bani Mami. As she was about to go, he called out "bani Mami?" Bani jumped slightly and turned to see who it was. Ranveer was calling her? She was a bit shocked but she went and sat on the sofa. "Kya hua Ranveer, is everything okay?" BAni asked a bit concerned. Ranveer nodded and said "BAni MAmi can I speak to you?" When he saw Bani nod he continued. "Bani Mami, its just that I umm. The thing is... The thing is that I think I'm in love," Ranveer blurted out.
