Welcome to Camp

*Few Normal Days Have Passed*

I hadn't spoken to Akshay or Arnav for the past few days since the whole car ride, when we decided that we all were going to go on the trip. I never seemed to have the same lessons as both of them, which was relief because I knew I'm sort of screwed with them both but I'm also dead scared… What if Akshay told Arnav?! Are they both avoiding me? Oh my god, what if they told Lavanya? But La's normal with me…

Honestly, I don't have a clue where they are but I know for sure I'm bound to see them today.

Why, you may ask?

Well, today is the camping trip.

Yeah, I know, I couldn't believe it as well in the morning when I saw a bag packed with stuff that wasn't school books. And it hit me that yeah, today was the trip.

"Oh god, aren't you pumped?!" asked a hyped Lavanya, sitting next to me on the waiting benches as she scrolled through her camera settings. "Argh, why is the bus taking so long to arrive, we're dying in the heat!" she said, fanning herself.

"Tell me about it, seriously, what's up with this stupid vehicle?" Payal agreed, complaining as well as she went to one of the staff and asked what was happening with the bus.

"Sorry guys, the bus is seeming to have a bit of a break-down," he broke it to us 12 kids. Wait, 12?

"Uh, where's Arnav, Akshay and NK?" La suddenly said, raising her head from her camera. "Haven't spoken to them since the morning and we were meant to leave half an hour ago… We would've left without them!" La said, annoyed.
"Ms. Lavanya, it's not our fault they're delaying themselves," someone spoke in response.

"Whatever," La said, tossing her head. But still… Where were they? This was getting annoying, I know Akshay told Arnav something, why else would they be avoiding me?! What sick joke was this? Would they honestly go as far as to ditch the trip just to avoid… me?!

Wait, NK wouldn't do that… Unless they told him as well… Oh god.

"Guys, we have a big problem," one of the staff approached us and said sheepishly, "erm… the bus has broke down, the engine is definitely not gonna work… The trip might have to be called off…"

"What? Why?" a familiar voice spoke from behind of us. Everyone turned their bodies to find who the voice belonged to.

I spoke too soon.

"Are you kidding? You're honestly gonna cancel the whole trip because of some stupid vehicle you couldn't make work?" Arnav Singh Raizada spat out, emerging in his typical style from his signature red Ferrari. Followed by him were NK and Akshay, in their own expensive cars.

"Mr. Raizada, we apologize but… uh," one of the staff said, trying to unravel themselves out of the situation.

"Wait, what do expect us students to do now?" La said, glaring at the people.

"Um… you might have to return to your normal lessons?" one of them suggested, only to be responded by a whole bunch of teenagers rejecting his suggestion.

"Look, we're going on the trip, no matter what okay," La protested, not really helping.

"Sorry guys but unless we have a way to get there, I don't think we're gonna go..." the same one replied.

"Guys… wait, I think enough of us have our cars here… Why not just take those instead of leaving them here?!" NK finally spoke, suggesting a much reasonable idea…

"Oh my god, yeah! You, Akshay, Arnav, Jenny, me and some others have our cars! We could take 15 in different cars!" La said, brightening up.

"Great! Jenny can take those 6 others in her car and I can take the other 6 in mine," NK said, starting to sort everyone out. La, Akshay and Arnav all had sports cars, meaning it was only possible to fit one… in the passenger seat.

As soon I was about to volunteer to go with Lavanya, I was cut off by someone saying "Payal, you can go with Lavanya right, because George needs somewhere and NK's car is full so George can go with Akshay."

"Uh, sure, that's fine…. Um, wait, what about Khushi? She needs a place!" La said, after twitching with her keys.

Oh god. Uh oh. NK's car is full, so is Jenny's. Lavanya has Payal and Akshay's car is a no-no.

Eff.

"Uh, Khushi can go in…" Lavanya started.

"Khushi's going in mine," he said, his back leaning on his car.

Oh my god.

"Wait, no, why doesn't George go with Arnav so Khushi goes in…" Akshay said, suddenly glaring at me and Arnav. This wasn't good, oh god, this so wasn't good. Oh god.

"Akshay, stop mixing the plans and get going!" La said as she opened her door and got in, shutting him up as NK already drifted off in his car with Jenny's following.

Akshay gave the deadliest look to Arnav and I, knowing trouble. Arnav shrugged it off, and for some reason, sprinted to the passenger seat door.

As Akshay and George zoomed off, I awkwardly made my way to the passenger door as well. Did Arnav want me to drive?

"Get in Khushi," he said as I finally saw that… he was opening my door.

Stupid Khushi, stupid!

"Oh… uh, thanks," I nervously said, trying to get in without making any contact to him. I was successful.

Soon enough, he got into his black driving seat and began riding off.

Prepare for an awkward silent ride, Khushi.

*Arnav*

I don't know what nowdays is up with everyone. I swear, the only person acting normal is La, which is pretty normal because the only thing that she thinks about in her empty head is herself. And she doesn't have any problems, which I'm jealous of even if I'm a guy.

Khushi was acting weird those few days ago in the car, after La's party. Di has been acting shifty, not to mention Mom. And don't even get me started on Akshay. Just like Khushi, even he started being incredibly weird, except even more than Khushi which I didn't know was possible. Since the car ride when we all decided that we wanted to go on this trip, it seems like both of them have been avoiding me. Something's up with both of them. Was something between them? But why would they avoid me…? Did Akshay think I wouldn't approve of him… dating Khushi?!

What the hell?! Date Khushi?! Did he honestly think he could do that without me knowing?!

And Khushi? I know we aren't always on the best of terms but… this isn't right, why didn't anyone tell me?!

Akshay and Khushi were going to be confronted by me about this, how dare they think they can go ahead and do this without me knowing this?!

"Uh, sure, that's fine…. Um, wait, what about Khushi? She needs a place!" I twitched as I heard Khushi's name. I had to get to the bottom of this and there was no better way to than this.

"Khushi's going in my mine," I suddenly found myself saying. Everyone turned to look at me, shocked because hello… it was no surprise I didn't like her that much (and I'm pretty sure the feelings mututal) but I just shrugged it off.

After everyone began leaving off, I made my way to the passenger seat to open the door for her which I think she didn't understand because she had the most quizzical expression when she saw me running towards her door.

Idiot.

I actually didn't know what to say because literally I had nothing to say. Usually, I would find us bickering or arguing but I actually had nothing. I couldn't talk through the fact that we KISSED because I'm sure he doesn't remember and some part of me is… mad? I should be happy!

"So… Akshay's a nice guy, right?" he randomly said to me. What the heck? THIS is how he breaks the silence? Starts the topic of Akshay?

Oh my god. Did Akshay maybe tell Arnav?! OH GOD, maybe that's why he got me in his car! HE KNOWS. DOES HE? OH GOD.

"Um, yeah," I nervously replied. If Akshay told…

"But I mean, you two are friends and all…" he responded to me. Wait, this definitely doesn't sound like he 'knows'… where's he trying to go with this conversation?

"Uh, yeah we are..?" I replied, which sort of came out with a question. He suddenly turned towards me and… studied my face? Something's up with Arnav.. I just don't think it's what I think.

"You guys can take your things to that side of the ocean and La, why don't you…" the guide went on and on.

We'd finally arrived at the official camp and I just have to say… the place is absolutely stunning! It's rocky and all and yeah, it's sort of painful to walk on barefoot but I really love getting out here in the open with nature.

Literally, if I didn't have all the issues with the two A's, aka Arnav & Akshay, I would actually enjoy the trip with my bestfriends.

The car ride became suffocating. It actually wasn't too long because there wasn't any cars on the way and I was so tired so I kind of fell asleep… Oh well, as long as my mouth didn't fall open like it always does when I sleep in car seats, I'm good.

"Khush, let's go!" La said, dragging me to the cabin we were to share with Payal and our bags. Tramping on millions of rocks (luckily, I wasn't wearing flip flops like poor Payal who I think definitely got a few cuts), La dragged us both to an astonishing side of the camp, right between the ocean and the… well, it looked like a "forest". We definitely got one of the best cabins.

"What are you guys doing here?" a deep voice called out to us from behind.

"Akshay?! Oh, our cabin is here… Is yours too?!" La cheerfully asked. Oh god, I wish I could see what it be like La's head… all cheery with no problems, jeez.

"Yeah.." he awkwardly replied, looking at me.

Oh, praise the lord.

"You guys are here too?!" NK said, coming out of nowhere… with Arnav next to him. La nodded to him as they all happily began celebrating and putting their stuff away in the cabins.

I was stuck, once again, with Arnav and Akshay.

"Khus.." they both said at the same time… What the heck!? They both looked at each other and stopped.

"Um…" I awkwardly started. Thankfully, La, Payal and NK came back to collect more bags from outside the cabin before either one of the A's could say anything.

"Help out, you lazy…"

"Guys?!" an unfamiliar voice called out from behind all of us. Akshay, Arnav and Lavanya turned around, shocked.

"AKASH?!"

Ta da! I'M SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING EARLIER. I could tell you my excuse but it doesn't matter, whatever. SORRYYY.
