Part – 1

Handa parivaar Hoshaiapur ke jaane mane parivaar hai….

Darji had a lot of respect and he has earned a lot of wealth and goodwill for himself and his family, he is a very honest and hardworking man……..

But Mohinder is a spoilt child…..

He is the only child and so he is pampered too much and darji never let him take his responsibilities till he left this world, by then Mohinder had become an alchoholic and a complete crook…….

Ranno is from somewhat less privileged family, her father being a daily wager and also ran a small milk society……..

Handa ji ka toh love marriage hua tha, he just saw Ranno at a mela and he was adamant to marry her……

Darji was reluctant but Dadi convinced him and she is the one who always encouraged Mohinder to lead a life of his own wish and will……

But Ranno is a very responsible bahu and she had lived to the expectations of Darji and Dadi, infact Darji is very proud of his Bahu rather than his son…..

Mohinder has made a mess of himself and lately Darji had given up on him and handed over the responsibilities to his bahu…..

After Darji passed away Mohinder has become uncontrollable and Ranno struggled a lot getting him back on track….

She used to get him his drinks home and that way she just ensured that he stayed away from unwanted fights and getting himself into trouble……

Ranno has a younger sisiter, Rajjo, who is not as fortunate as Ranno and is married into a mediocre family…..

This season the rains failed and the crops too failed…..Rajjo's husband had to sell away whatever little land he had and settle his debts……

Ranno too helped them at this tough times….

Now as they had nowhere to go, they came and settled at ranno's mother's palce….

Geet who had stayed there till now had to get back to Hoshairpur…...

Ab Geet primary se high school jaanewali hai….

Ranno brings her back to Hoshiarpur….

Geet is not used to staying at her house….

She had barely visited Hoshairpur a couple of times, that too at festive times accompanied by her naani and had never left her naani since childhood….

This is like going to a hostel for Geet….

When Geet came here Sameera too had gone to hostel and Geet had to stay alone with her parents…..

Geet felt very lonely until she met Annie…..

Annie is just like her innocent and kiddish…..

Geet instantly liked her and they became buddies within minutes…

Ranno has been worrying since Geet came back as she looked scared and misplaced all these days…..now that Geet had made friendship with Annie, Ranno is very happy and relieved…..

Geet joins Annie's school…..it's a girl's school…

Geet is new to English medium….

Annie helps her…as she is Geet's new friend & classmate….

Geet likes Annie……Annie is also happy to have a playmate….

As Sam & Maan doesn't stay at Hoshiarpur Annie felt alone….

Now Geet & Annie become very good friends…..

Geet is a shy girl….

As she was alone all these days she is very reserved…

She feels out of place at Hoshiarpur….

As she has come home after a long time Ranno & Mr.Handa shower their love & pamper her…….Ranno Geet ko bahut hi miss kar rahi thi….

Usskke maa bhi akhele thi toh Geet ko itne din unke saath chod dhi thi….

Mr.Handa Geet ko wapas lekhe aana hi chahate the…

Geet dhere dhere settle ho jaathi….

She is quite comfortable now…

She likes her new school…

She is very studious & is excited to learn English….

She also likes to play with Annie & spends a lot of time at their house playing reading & relishing the dishes Rajinder makes for them….

Everything seemed perfect until one day when….

Maan & Sam come home for the holidays…..

Maan pehle bar Geet ko dekh raha hai….

Ussne suna hai ki Sam ki sister aarahi hai….

Maan ko laga woh bhi Sameera ki tarah rough and tough hogi, lekhin Geet toh bahut hi alag hai….she is neither like Sam nor like Annie…..

She is so different from the other girls that Maan had known, that's how he feels, Maan ko lagtha hai ki ye darfolk hai aur bahut boring ladhki hai….

But after meeting her Maan changed his mind and this girl interested him more than the others who are always after him and readily make friends with him….

She is so innocent & cute….

But she is little scared….

Maan ke samne aathe hi bhaag jaathi…

Maan is a naughty boy…somewhat bully type….

He wants to rag Geet…she is new to Hoshiarpur know?

Moreover Annie keeps on talking about her new friend Geet…

Maan is curious to know about her….

Maan tries to talk with her…but Geet just keeps hiding…..

Nowadays she doesn't even go to Annie's house….

Sameera has also come…..so she is busy chatting with her…..

Sameera is a bold girl……she has been sent to the boarding school quiet early along with Maan …..she is used to the urban culture…..

Maan & Sameera are classmates & friends……..

Maan is surprised to see Sam's sister like this….

Geet being the little one stayed back at home & is still timid……

Sam is a chatterbox & makes friends fast….

One day….

Annie: maa, mein khelne jaathi hoon

Rajinder: Annie, ye lo laddu, Sam aayi haina? Ranno buaji ko dedo

Annie: teek hai

Maan comes….

Maan: Annie

Annie: kya hai bhai? Jaldhi bolo, mujhe jaana hai, Geet intrezaar karthi hogi

Maan: kyun? Teri friend yahan aakke nahi khel sakthi?

Annie: Geet aayegi, kal

Maan: Annie

Annie chale jaathi…..

Geet aur Annie unnkke friends ke saath bahar khel rahe hai….

Maan goes out and looks at Geet…

Geet never looks into his eyes and she pretends not to notice him….

Maan decides that he had had enough and it's time for action…..

Issko bhi patha chale ki Maan Singh Khurana kaun hai?

Maan calls Annie who is busy playing with Geet…….

Maan: Annie

Annie doesn't hear him, but Geet could not miss his voice, her attention was fully on Maan even though she had never turned to look at him…..

Maan calls Annie louder……he is a little annoyed…..

Geet looks at him….he is staring at her……

Annie goes near and asks him what he wants….

He tells something to Annie

Annie pehle mana karthi and later she nods her head ….

Maan leaves with a big smile and Geet doesn't like this at all…..

He has asked Annie to take Geet to the terrace….

Annie: Geet aao, hum upar jaake khelthe hai

Geet: nahi, tu chal, mujhe maa bhula rahi hai

Annie: hare, chalo Geet

Annie brings Geet with her….

Maan ko dekhte hi Geet dar jaathi….

Maan: Annie, tum jao

Annie: lekhin bhai….

Maan: mein tumhare friend ko kuch nahi karoonga, jao

Annie leaves….

Geet: Annie, rukho, mein bhi aathi hoon

Geet tries to follow her….

Maan catches hold of her…..

Maan: kahan jaa rahi ho?

Geet: Annie….Annie….

Maan: woh nahi aayegi

Geet blinks….ab kya hoga?

Maan: tum jaanthi ho ki mein kaun hoon?

Geet: nahi

Maan: jootie, mujhe joot pasand nahi hai, jaante ho ki joot bolnewalon ko mein kya kartha?

Maan gets closer & closer…

Geet steps back…

He corners her…..

Geet: mujhe jaana hai

Maan: tum sach mein mujhe nahi jaanthi?

Geet: nahi

Maan: phir se joot

Maan pretends to get angry….

Geet: chodo mujhe

Maan: nahi chodoonga toh

Geet: mein chilaaoongi

Maan: achcha…chillaoge?

Maan closes her mouth with his hand….

Maan: ab kaise chilaaogi?

Geet toh bahut dar jaathi…..

Maan: jab mein haath nikhaltha, tu mere sawaal ka sahi jawab doge, samji?

Maan stares….

Maan: ab bolo, mein kaun hoon?

Geet: Annie ke bhai

Maan: aur?

Geet: sameera didi ke friend

Maan: aur?

Geet: aur kuch nahi

Maan: kuch nahi?

Geet: nahi

Maan: aaj se mein tera bhi friend hoon, samji

Geet: nahi

Maan: kya? Kal se mein jo bhi kahoonga tujhe karna hoga, warna jaanthi haina ki mein kitna bhura hoon?

Geet starts crying….

Maan: chup….bikul chup

Geet chup ho jaathi….

Maan: aasoo pochlo

Geet follows his orders…

Maan: good, aaisa hi maintain karo

Geet looks at him….

Maan: ab bhaag

Geet runs off…..

Part – 2

Geet is now so scared to leave her house…

She stays inside the house itself and tries to avoid Maan….

Ranno toh Geet ko kissi na kissi bahane bahr bhejthi rehthi hai…

Sameera bhi haina? Ussko koi kaam nahi dethi, sirf Geet ko sab kuch karna padtha…

Ranno does this deliberately as ahe wants Geet to feel at home and never left alone….she tries to keep her engaged….

Sam toh do chaar din rukhegi aur wapas chale jayegi, this is the time for her to take some rest….

Maan comes to meet Sam and they had some school work to do….

Geet tries to move out and go and play with Annie….

Maan spots her and he immediately starts his mischief …..

Maan: Geet, pani lekhe aao

Geet binks…..

Geet: pani andar hai, aap jaake lelo, mein khelne jaa rahi hoon

Sam: Geet, Maan ko pani lekhe aao, phir khelne jaa sakthi

Sam orders her little sister….

Geet is helpless, she had to get water for this unwanted guest(?)……

From the next day Maan keeps bossing her…

"Geet ,mere ghar se mera bag lekhe aao…."

"Geet, zara ink fill karkke dedo….."

" Geet, tummare paas sketch pens haina, lekhe aao"

Ye apna things ko use kyun nahi kartha? Usska things ko safe rakhtha aur mere things ko karab kartha….

Geet is very angry…ussne kitne mushkil se apne cheezon ko sambalkke rakha tha, ye ek hi din mein sabko nash karkke chalagaya…..

Aur toh aur Geet ko har watq command karthe rehtha, jaise Geet usski gulam ho?

Geet ye karo….woh karo….

Geet darke sab kuch karthi rehthi….

Ab iss Maan ka kuch karna hi padega….

Geet seeks Sameera's help….

Geet Sameera se complain karthi ….

Sameera being the protective sister warns Maan to stay away from Geet….

Maan gets even more angry….

How can she do this?

Geet: mujhe chodo, ghar jaana hai

Maan: nahi chodtha toh?

Geet: toh mein

Maan: teri didi ko bhulaogi?

Geet: nahi

Maan: tujhe kya lagtha ? mein usse dekhke dar jaaoonga?

Geet: nahi darthe?

Maan: mein teri didi se nahi dartha, woh mujhse darthi hai, samji?

Geet looks at him….shayad ye teek hi kehtha….

Ye toh gunda hi lagtha…..

Maan: ab kya? Meri maa se complaint karogi?

Geet ko lagtha ye bhi toh achcha idea hai? Haina babaji?

Geet: haan

Maan: kya? Teri itni himmat?

Geet is scared……

He takes her to the nearby well & pretends to push her in….

Geet ko laga ki aaj toh woh gayi…..

Maan: aaj ke badh tum mere barein mein kissi se bhi baat nahi karogi, warna patha haina mein kya karoonga?

He looks at her & the well…..

Geet believes each & everyword he says…..

Maan: waise, tumme tehelna aatha hai kya? Nahi na?

Geet: nahi

Maan: toh teek hai, chalo chaltein hai, sab doondhte honge

Geet: mein aapke saath nahi aaoongi

Maan: toh teek hai, tum yahi raho, mein chaltha hoon

Geet ko patha nahi kya karein?

Maan: kehte hai ki yahan raat ko ek rakshas aatha hai, aur usskko chote bachein hi pasand hai, dinner ke liye

Geet ko patha hai ki ye joot hai….phir bhi …..

Its getting dark….

Maan starts to walk…..….

Geet follows him but at a safe distance…..

Maan walks slowly so that she is not left alone…..

Bechari pehle hi bahut dar gayi hai……

Maan feels triumphant…..

Throughout the holidays aaisa hi hothe rehtha….

Geet Maan se panga nahi lena chahathi….

It's better to follow his orders….

Ye toh kuch hi din ka mehmaan haina…

Do chaar din mein wapas chale jayega….

Phir koi problem nahi hoga….

After the holidays Maan & Sameera get back to school……

Geet is little relieved….

Now she is happy playing with Annie…

Mann comes back for the summer vacations….

Iss bar Geet is prepared….

Ye do chaar din ki baat nahi haina?

Zyada se zyada kya karega?

Bas chota mota kaam karwayega….

Annie bhi madat karegi……..

Geet ka koi bhai hotha toh woh usskke seva toh karegi haina…

Ab isska seva karna hai toh kar hi lethi….

Ab Geet ko Maan ki seva karne ki aadat ho gayi….

Now she readily does whatever he asks her to do…

Ab Geet utna nahi darthi….

She is used to his damkis…

Par thoda dar toh hai…..

Lekhin woh bahut kushi se Maan ko help karthi…..

Maan apne friends ke saath cricket khelne chale jaatha…..

Geet ko bas note books cover karna hai….

Ya phir Rajjinder Maan se koi bhi cheez bahar se mangwana chahathi toh woh bhi Geet ko hi karna padtha…..

Annie ko lekhe jaathi toh ye bhi koi bhoj nahi lagtha….

Aaisa hi Geet thoda bahar goomsakthi….

Warna Ranno Geet ko ghar ke andar hi kaam dekhe engage karthi….

Ab usse escape kar sakthi toh Geet bhi kush hai….

Sam toh koi bhi ghar ka kaam nahi karthi….

Jab dekho school ka koi project lekhe beitthi hai….

Sach mein toh woh novels padthi rehthi….

Ranno ko ye sab kaise patha?….

Ussko lagtha ki woh ab higher classes aagayi …aur bade school mein padrahi hai toh shayad kaam bhi zyada hoga?

Maan toh kabhi kabhi gussa kartha ki ye donno ne usskke notebooks ko damage kiya hai…innko teek se koi bhi kaam karna nahi aatha….

Behcharein ne toh apna kaam chodkke usska books cover karte rahe….

Woh chote hai toh Maan ka farz hai unka madat karne ki….

Yahan toh sab kuch ulta hotha…

Upar se daant bhi khanne padtha…..

Geet ko bhi gussa aatha toh woh sach mein Maan ka books ko karab karthi…

Ya pencil se scribble karthi…..

Phir Maan Geet ka notebooks kahin chupakke damki detha toh Geet ko sab kuch erase karna padtha…..

Aaise hi ladhte rehte hai…..

lekhin Maan ka koi bhi kaam karthi toh woh kabhi kabhi shehar se Annie aur Geet ke liye koi special treat lekhe aatha….kabhi chocolates…kabhi ice cream ya chaat….

Donno chup chupke terrace pe jaakke khate hai……

Aaisa hi thoda masthi aur thoda takraar se ye holidays bhi katam hothi….
