The actress who is now turning into a grey character on screen talks about her role as Pia and her upcoming marriage plans to Sneha Hazarika. How do you feel playing the negative Pia?
It's just a job. Besides it is always a challenge to play a negative character. You get to play different shades. The level of experimentation is always very high. It's a crazy character. I am really enjoying this change. Are you all set to join the vamp brigade and make life hell for Bani?
Nothing like this is happening. I don't think it would happen in the future until and unless our creative team has some different ideas. Will you now have the track focusing more on you?
I can't say anything about it. It's upon Ekta (Kapoor) and her creative team to decide on the story. I am just doing my work. I have been assigned to deliver according to the script I get in my hands. What do you think of this trend of women falling in love with their brothers-in-law on television?
I don't think it is a trend. I think our creative team is the first to explore this kind of a storyline, which is working well for our show. You have the creative license to do what you feel would be good for your show. How you juggle acting along with your anchoring stint for Zee Muzic?
It's very hard. But you can see that I am managing it pretty well. It's a part and parcel of television life. One learns to adapt to it with time. What do you enjoy more, acting or anchoring?
I enjoy both equally. Anchoring has a different feel altogether. How does your fianc feel about your hectic schedule?
He has always been very supportive. Since he belongs to the same industry he understands. How are the wedding preparations going on?
My wedding is going to be held in Delhi. Due to my hectic assignments I don't have much time to even go there. I am sure my family is handling all the preparations very well. What plans do you have for your honeymoon?
We would be going to Paris. For me it's the most romantic destination. Will the producers be building a bank as you will be taking a break for your wedding?
I don't know whether they would be avoiding me or building up a bank. I had informed them about my wedding plans in advance. Do you have any best friends in the television industry?
I don't have any best friends here. But I am very close to all the unit members I am associated with.
