Over the years I have seen many serials.Some of them have been very good, some not so.But what i do remember is that i really never felt the need to watch the episodes more than once,however good it was. IPK changed all that. Everyday was IPk day for me.On weekdays I would watch it at 8 pm and hoped I could catch it again at the late night slot.Mostly I I was lucky.Whenever I was home, I would try to watch it at 10.30 am,1.30 pm and 5.30 pm.So some times I saw an episode six times(They used to show the whole week's episodes on Saturday mornings for a while too,and so a total of six.)But the amazing thing is that I never got tired of it or bored. I was enormously happy to be in Arshiland.

It was what I did during my Pregnancy and Maternity Leave.

How did I find IF?

Missed an episode and was searching for the shows written updates.

Did you even like IPK?

Not every episode was amazing, brilliant and all that, but there were quite a few gems. And those gems kept us wanting more. I kept hoping for more even at the end.

Although, I did find some amazing FF's that filled the craving that much more. In fact, it was thanks to those writers that when IPKKND lost its mojo that I continued to watch just to get some more fodder for the writers as they could spin it that much more better.

Barun Sobti?

BS is the guy that played ASR. I loved ASR because Khushi loved him.

I'm very disappointed in the way he himself dealt with his quitting, longish break, depends on the story, I never wanted to do the serial but they forced me.

I was also selfish. I wanted Shyam and ASR to actually kill each other or something that would transcend the scandal at least at the end. But nothing happened. Instead, Shyam left with two slaps while ASR stood around again. 😲

Sanaya Irani?

Girl crush you say? I'll go with that. I started watching the show during the forced marriage episode. Her expressions, her warmth, her love you could feel with her. She did great no matter what the situation was. She carried the show and good for her.

Abhaas Mehta?

I don't know if it was the character or if it was Abhaas, but he did a phenomenal job getting us to hate him. He acted the part of a Lucknowie so well. Enunciated the words fabulously which is renowned for the culture and language. I just wanted the ASR-Shyam rivarly to be so much more than the I have my eye on you routine.

Agree with everything you've said but love @red. No discussion of IPK would be complete without mentioning this superior actor. We have all seen a million baddies in all the'woods and have hated characters but how many characters did we hate so much that the hatred spilled into real life and we had to remind ourselves that the actor is an actor and not the character he is playing.I know the general consensus is that Shyam lusted for Khushi and I know he was obsessed with her but I can never forget their first meeting when she looks at him from behind Garima or looks back at him as she is walking away the look on his face showed he was smitten. I remember in an interview he said that his mother started giving him evil looks watching him on screen and he had to remind her that he was her son...when your own mother sees you onscreen and mixes you with the character that's got to be an indicator of immense talent. The final confrontation between Shyam and ASR ended up being between Shyam and Arnav (well more Khushi and Anjali) and that was a huge lost opportunity on the part of the creatives.

just searching videos for another of my previous loved show and joined it. never participated much for a long time but later started to post when i felt the discussions helding was unfair to a character and a actor so thought of sharing my two cents and rest is history.
whatever happened from now on i will always look forward to this guys work.his acting had made summoned to love a character whom people should have hated. i will give him full credit to convey the pain and thoughts of his character so convieniently. i became his biggest fan and never thought will discuss just a tv actor so much in the virtual world but i dont regret it😊
i have no qualms in admitting i started watching this show for khushi.the fearless lady who used to give it back to the man. but slowly down the line i shifted to asr as i couldnt connect to khushi and her ott acting. earlier i liked her acting but not now as it is repetative to me.
i loved her as asr ki khushi and would like to like her in this way only. not a fan of her cause of many reasons but its insignificant here. but would like to wish her all the best in future.👍🏼

i dun want to spoil this post by quoting some comments but plz stop asking why do u hate 'the actor" nd even stop using the word hate... so fed up of same rubbish!

After a long time some one made a meaningful and a beautiful post on IPKKND...Please people let it survive...I was dissapointed that the post got closed immediately the next day and thankful to the mods for re opening it...This is such a beautiful thread.. I' am enjoying it reading all the comments/stories... Let it last...

Really Abhaas is really agood actor...i adored him...He made the role Shyam so convincing...It is one of the most strong character of this show...I always put ASR character above every character but in some instances Shyam character used to surpass him...There is so much to Shyam character...It is actually portraited very well.I am very thankful that Shyam is not shown evil frm day one but slowly character transformed realistically into black shades when there is intrusion in his interests...

Sobti and Irani both had some amazing moments and I wouldn't take away from the both of them.

For me the way both of them acted during Diwali, ASR's inner turmoil and Khuhsi's confusion, al, taht sexual tension- Simply fabulous! Their acting was spot on in it!

So quick one from me:

I started with my mom, as i used to watch my Gulaal i saw all the promos and SI looked so fresh to me .. I did not even look at the male lead .. I did not know barun and SI earlier ..
Much later during Payesh's wedding I fell in love with them.. Now I can tell I love them and will love them all my life ..😭 And Sanaya is special for me .. cant elaborate it..

And I joined IF a year after this .. I needed to open a member's only post .. posted on FB... ( why did i do that mistake 😆) .. For me its a nice place to be updated with information related to any show .. better than searching through net or FB.. 😊


Off topic: .. so many ppl changed their IDs.. I am having hard time to find who is who .. only got harshita but could not get some other ids .. 😃
