Kavya... am so sorry, didnt know my updates were distracting you so much from your exams... dont worry, am ending the jungle story today once and for all... I know it is a dead give away...but well....

Please do well in your exams and I request you not to get distracted... please.. I request you... you can always read my scenes later.. I can even PM them all to you in one go after your exams..

"SHiv.." pleading literally now… shaking with fear…when .. something moves behind the bush, the movement too close for comfort….

Continued:

Gauri now petrified with fear, standing still… Shiv moves closer to her and holds her … his arm around her shoulder… when she instinctively , turns around to bury her head in his chest clinging onto him in fear…
Shiv too , too scared to react stands still… when suddenly a baboon comes out, a lil too huge for a baboon… it makes angry sounds at shiv … not moving any closer… and slowly , more of them join… Shiv.. slowly pats gauri.. and says.. "Bandar hai.. don't worry…", but then , the baboons move in closer… aiming the bag , dangling in Gauri's hands, when Shiv grabs it from her hand and instinctively.. starts scaring the baboons with it.. only enraging them all the more and although.. with a lil persistence , manages to shoo them away.. when he turns arnd to Gauri… "BHaago.. chalo…. Gauri.. Run now… !"..
Gauri limping.. tries hard and keeps pace… not once whining.. and they manage to get far enuf from the place, when Gauri lets out a cry in pain….
Shiv turning to see her holding her ankle, tears welling up in her eyes..
"Gauri….".. feeling awful.. "Gauri… ."
gauri.. unable to bear the pain… breaks down…
"Gauri…" .."don't cry.. gawd.. please don't cry …ham raasta dhoond lenge.. "… seeing her cry and not stopping.." look.. we'll stop here.. for some time… awwright..? we'll do something.. stop crying… Gauri…"… when she stops…suddenly lost…trying to concentrate on something….
And suddenly forgetting the pain…
"Shiv…" , looking excited…and yet sounding very calm … demanding his attention…

"Shiv…" , looking excited…and yet sounding very calm … demanding his attention…

Continued:
Hearing her, he looks at her.. not a word escaping his mouth, the seriousness in her voice not escaping him…
"Woh.. suniye….".. pointing towards her left… "who awaaaz…"
Looking excited she looks at him….
Shiv looking dazed.. not able to understand, stares back at her.. but dosent say a word and then suddenly..
"Gaadiyan… Gauri… Highway…" , still calm… "ham raaste nahin bhatke… par ham shortcut pe aaye…" smiling gleefully….
Gauri too unable to control her excitement… smiles at him…
"Tumhaara pair kaisa hai…?" "Chal paaogi…? "
"Haan.." and she slips as she tries to get up.. when he takes her and puts it on his shoulder…"aaraam se…", "bas thodi door…", when she smiles at him and he smiles back…

Having walked in silence.. for a few minutes… shiv breaks the silence..

"Mujhe nahin pata that um itna darti ho gauri, woh bhi bandaro se…" , laughing…"itna darti ho… toh us gunde ko kaise maara….?" Still laughing… but looking at her for an answer…
"usne aapko jo maarna chaahaa…., isiliye… maine kabhi aapko.. aise nahin dekha tha.. " stopping suddenly , thinking she had said too much...
"Gauri… "
"Ji…."
After a long pause…"thank you…" staring ahead and then conscious she was looking , looks her in the eye.. and they smile, self consciously…
