| | | | Jahaan hamaar saiyaan, wahin hum: Jassi Kaur with Aziz | K Street Pali Hill's Smriti is packing her bags and moving to a different country. Now that her show is winding up, Jassi Kaur has decided to join her boyfriend Aziz in Dubai. Dubai dreams She says it was about time she made the decision. "I had a great time working in Balaji, but I think it's time to move on. Aziz keeps travelling to Dubai for work all the time, so I figured it would make sense for me to go and stay with him," she says. But moving out doesn't mean she will discontinue acting from her new home. Says Jassi, "I will continue to act. Balaji is doing shows there, so I hope I get to work with them again. I can't sit idle for too long." Jassi is excited about her recent role in Sony's thriller, Akela. "It was fun working on that show. I always have a good time with the channel as they invite me to perform for their stage shows and I love dancing. It's something that comes to me naturally." Curtains drawn On the wrapping up of K Street Pali Hill, she says, "All good things must come to an end. I had a great time with the entire cast. There was enough scope to try lots of things." Recently, Jassi also shot for a mujra sequence in Zee TV's Betiyann. "I had a lot of fun performing it. However, the guy I had to shoot with was very nervous. He looked like a kid in front of me," she laughs. The actress will soon be seen dancing at the Indian Television Awards later this month. "They have chosen the Beedi song for me. I think it's going to be great fun and I will make sure the audience has a good time." At the moment, Aziz is in Dubai attending a close friend's wedding. Jassi says her exact date of moving abroad depends on him. "I think I will shift after the television awards show. I don't know if Aziz is coming back or is going to wait for me in Dubai. I hope things get sorted out soon," she says. Is she in touch with her K Street co-stars? "Of course. I make sure I know who's doing what. Recently, I bumped into Vikas (Sethi) and he has lost oodles of weight. I think he's looking reall good in Kyunki." Jassi hopes that even though she leaves the country, her fans wil support her. http://www.mid-day.com/hitlist/2006/november/146140.htm |
