I understand they are taking an 18th century novel of two rich families who work for royals(kings) and converting to 21st century. That confuses viewer because hero is modern 21st century city bred richie rich guy and heroine in 19th century village bred girl where one computer is there in entire village and first graduate of her village. Why both are not showed from modern towns and equal footing? Anyways as viewers lets ignore this fact and accept that. But serial is going too fast and not allowing viewers to bond emotionally with the characters or leads. So here are a few questions that have to be shown to resolve confusion in viewer mind.

Take show a bit slow. In first episode marriage is announced and second boy rejects and girl accepts.

Show past incidents. How do two families know each other? How did Saras mother die? What was relation between Saras mom-dad and him? How was Saras childhood? What was relation between Saras and his step mom from childhood? Why Saras hates or has no attachment with father-step mother? What was his realtion with step brother do they love each other or treat each others as competitors?

Why Saras so religious and likes celibacy etc? Why his father so concerned that Saras may leave them and become over religious? I mean we cannot digest fact that 21st century highly educated and business person Saras is over religious. How does he do business then because buisness involves grabbing deals at any cost. Contrasting message about hero here. Someone who is really deeply religious and treats all humans nicely cannot be a good business person because to be successful in business you have to compromise on values. So who is really Saras a street smart business man or a religious great human who cannot compromise on values his mother taught?
