FLASHBACK???
Bohot shukriya......... badi meherbaani, meri zindagi mein huzoor aap aaye
Kadam choom loon ya... ke-aankhen bichha doon, karoon kya yeh mere samajh mein na aaye
The day finslly dawned, he got of bed amidst squealing and laughter, Maasi and Anu were standing by his bed
teasing him, he turned over and buried his face in the pillow, searched with his other hand to grab the other one on the side
Maasi: Abhi bus kuch ghante ruk ja Munna aati hai bahu meri, kal subah milegi tumhe us siraane
JW: Maasi (muffled)
Anu: Mamaji Plz uthiye na, itna saara kaam hai
JW: God! Tum log mujhe abhi to soney do plz...... barely turns his head and looks at hsi watch, it shows a lil after 6 AM!
JW: Maasi, shaadi shaam ko 6 baje hai subah nahi

Aditya walks into teh room in the meanwhile............
A: Ready to tie the knot buddy
JW smiles into the pillow "More ready than I will ever be!" he says to himself..........
A: No going into work today
JW finally gets up, sees Maasi and Anu checking the new closets in the walk in area by the bathroom, its all empty, but not for too
long.............
JW: Give me an hour to work out and shower, I will see you downstairs at 7?
Aditya: Pehle gale to lag ja yaar (smiles, thrilled)
JW: Sure Aditya!
They share a warm hug, Aditya feels a lump in his throat, continues to hug waiting for the lump to pass down the throat

JW: thanks..... Its unbelievable sometimes (smiles sheepishly)
A finally relaeses his friend

JW: Yahi shaadi aur sab kuch (runs his fingers thru hsi hair, trying to lose some of that bed head look)
A: Do you have a grooming date today?
JW: Not sure, Aditya mera meetings hai, until 2! (murmurs)
A: Maasi ko maloom hai?
JW winks, nervous........ "nahi" "Plz, name a price to shut up!"
A:You will take a month off starting tomorrow?
JW: Get out of here! A week? may be 9, 10 days max
A: You are going to let that poor girl fend for herself when she gets here? (accusing)
JW: What fend for herself? Maasi hai, Anu hai, (particularly avoids saying Jigs's name)

JW: She is pretty ticked off right now! (blushes)

Maasi and Anu walk back into the room
M: Beta dresser to bahut sundar hai, lights uske oopar itne saare, main oopar to aati nahi itne dino mein dekha bhi nahi
ki karigar kya kaam kar rahe hain
JW: thanks Maasi (smiles indulgently)
A: Mamaji aaj shaam se pehle main Bani, mera matlab Mamiji ke saare kapde usme laga doongi (confident)
JW looks on..wondering how a small decision of his cud make his family so happy, Aditya taps on his shoulder asking him to wait
while he finishes his phone call
M: Jaldi tayyar hokar neeche aaja bete, tumse bahut baaten karni hai, Bani ke ghar bhi phone karna hai chude ki rasam
ke baare mein uske Papa ka phone aaya tha
JW: kya (confused, looks up from his cell phone, chking msgs while simultaneously trying to pay Maasi attention)
M: Phone kabhi to chhod de Munna (smiles)
Aanu Mamiji aayi to chh0odna padega
M: Main usko keh doongi ki shaam ko ghar aate hi phone iska lekar neeche rakh de, phir oopar jaaye
JW flushes a little at thot of what hsi wife is going to demand fom him
JW: maasi... kya keh rahi thi aap?
M: Bete hamari shaadi mein ladki ke haath mein chuda chadta hai
JW: Hmmm (still concentrating on his phone msgs)
M: Woh lal aur peele rang ke laac ke chudiyan Munna?
JW is like "Oh ya I KNOW THOSE!" (completely uninterested, thinks it must be some jewelry......)
JW: maasi, abhi jewlry laaye nahi kya?
M: Munna tu phone chhod pehle
M snatches it and powers it off
JW: maasi aap jo bhi kahen sab theek hai
M: Badi jaldi baat maan gaya (winks at Anu)
Anu: Mamaji plz.... serious ho jaayiye sab kaam baaki hai
JW: maasi aap plz mujhe sirf do ghante deejiye (lies)
M is ballistic, she becomes very sad.......
turns around to walk away
JW: maasi plz, Maasi plz aap meri baat to suniye, bus do meetings hain aur main 10 bajne se pehle yahan rahoonga
Anu: Very bad Mamaji (scolds)
Aditya is done with hsi phone call, he listens to the arguments between mother and son, quietly dials Bani's number, and exchanges
pleasantaries, walking away from the noisy family for a second, "ek minute hold karogi, Maasi tumse zaroori baat karna chahti hai"
She holds......
Maasi and Anu quit fighting, too upset to argue, start walking out of the room,
JW is frustrated but partly glad that he can actually go to work, a mischievous smiles spreads across his lips "Maasi main kaam se aakar aap
ko mana loonga"
He thinks and goes back to his phone msgs
Aditya hands him the phone, he looks at A like "Who is it?"
A just nods seriously and hands him
JW accepts it with a questioning look
JW: Hello, Jai here
B: Ummmmmm
Silence!!
Aditya sneakily walks off, reaches the door, turns around winks, JW makes a fist, his face feels warm...... he starts walking twrds the balcony
JW: Hi!
B just breathes.......
JW: Good morning Baneeee!!
B: Gmorning (swallows the "good" part, obviously not as good for her right?)
JW's heart skips a beat "she spoke!" he smiles to himself
JW: Raat ko bahut baarish hui hai lagta hai......
B: Maasi kahan hai (softly) Aditya,....... Uncle ne kaha.... Maasi mujhse kuch
JW:Congratulations!! Baneee Dixit...
B:Ummm th.... thank...... Thanks (barely audible)
JW: tum kab uthi?
B:Mmmm, mujhe (almost blurts "I cudnt sleep all nite")

Their hearts drum away, he is thrilled she cudnt sleep all nite, "its me!" he thinks

B:Main unke ghar pe, matlab unko ghar.......
JW: Matlab apne ghar pe karogi? (God! she makes this too easy for me!" he smiles)

JW: Yes you do... (telling her "ya you have to leave that house")

JW: Are you nervous? (amused)
B: (angry and vexed at his sense of humor) I am terrified!! Its all becoz of YOU!

FLASHBACK ?? (Oh! Alright........ I give up!😭)
Cell phone rings, he looks at it, its Maasi, an impatient frown crosses his face, its the 10th call from home, its either Aditya or Jigs or Sahil or Ranveer, almost as if they ping the other when one is done.......................not one from the fiancee, he reluctantly picks it up
JW: Maasi?
M: Munna 12 baj gaye hain, kahan ho tum?
JW : Mmm Maasi abhi bus thodi der aur.
M: Munna aaj tumhaari shaadi hai!!
JW: Jee! (his heart skips a beat without fail every time when he hears that line)
M: Ghar pe sab log busy hain, tumhaare saath jo rasme karni hai uski baat karna chahte hain panditji
JW returns to his laptop types furiously.............

JW: Jee
M: Jigyasa naraaz hai ab tak ki shaadi dhoom dhaam se nahi hui
JW is visibly annoyed: Maasi shaadi MERI hai aur Bani ki, decision hame lena chahiye, uske poker buddies ko party dena chahti hai to ek din main apne saare banquet halls free rakhta hoon, she can throw one!!
M: Munna yeh kaisi baaten kar raha hai?
JW(Authoritative) Maasi, meri is baare mein aapse kitni baar baat ho chuki hai main usko bhi samjha chuka hoon, if she doesnt want to accept it, its fine!
M: Woh is baat ko lekar bhi pareshan hai ki jis company ko tumne Worli waala ghar saaf karne ko kahan unhoney theek kaam nahi kiya

M: Yeh kaise ho tum dono, shaadi ke baad to pati patni ek doosre ki or khiche chale aate hain, tum dono ne kaam pe jaane ki baat kar li? (devsatated but can only be so explicit with her son!)

M: Ek minute hold karna beta! Haan Jigyasa bolo............
(JW understands what she implying,but cant say anything coz Maasi has no idea of the volatility of his and Banee's relationship, she has no clue about them wanting to spend every second together but at the same time, locking horns unfailingly each time they came face to face..................., her shying away his pursuing, her fear his intimidation............... Maasi thinks theirs is a normal wedding of "two people in love". She doesnt know about both of us being too pig headed to give in and admit to wanting each other, to me, right now, it looks more like a duel of who could drive the other more insane..................no woman had aroused such a complex web of desire and emotions in him. One moment he felt raw physical hunger for her and the very next he wanted to shelter, protect and comfort her from all the pain and hurt)
Knock on his door, Ms Singh peeks "Your 12.30 is here"
Maasi is done, "Munna, Jigyasa keh rahi hai ki 9 gaadi to ghar ki hai aur......... tum apne..........
JW: maasi main aapko baad mein call karta hoon(distracted)
M: Arrey haan woh Munna jaane se pehle ek baat, Banee ke Papa ka phone aaya tha, choode ki rasam poori ho gayi (thrilled)
JW (preoccupied) Jee. Great!! Aur kuch?
M: Beta, Bani tumhari hai
JW: Mmm.... ("she IS" his heart stands still...............such is the power of three words )
