The Feb. 11 episode of Bones is going to be a heart-stopper — but hopefully not literally.
In the episode, titled "The Shot in the Dark," Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is critically shot while working late in the Jeffersonian lab and while fighting for her life, ends up seeing visions of her dead mother (guest star Brooke Langton).
"[Brennan's] mother has been dead for many years but she ends up seeing and talking to her mother," executive producer Stephen Nathan previewed for EW earlier. "Ryan O'Neal is in that one, too, and it's a very emotional episode for them."
Can't wait for the episode? Check out an exclusive photo from it below, featuring bloody Brennan and a devastated Booth (David Boreanaz):

Saw the latest installment of Bones... the case was mehhh as ever... but I liked Bones' dialogues with her mother. Especially the last one when her mother says, "You needed to think with your brains in order to survive... but now you need to think with your heart to flourish" or something along those lines ...
Brennan's fight with Booth was mehhh. I was wondering how long would it be before Booth throws up his hands in exasperation at Brennan's scientific explanation of everything. I most definitely was! Sometimes I think the makers overdo it... Brennan's Mom's advise seems rather late...but better late than never, eh?
LOL I completely concur, LadyM...apart from those few dialogues with her mother, the epi was largely ehh...and yes it does seem like a case of too little, too late...the characters have long since lost what made them special...the fights are contrived and so are the make-up makeout sessions😆

Saw this week's Bones - "A Friend in Need"...
Okay the female protagonist was nearly dead last episode and no one even mentions a "take it easy?" or what was with the reference of Michelle coming home for "Christmas" when we are no where near that date! The episodes are seemingly choppy these days. Agreed it was a Sweets-centric episode, but the continuity errors on Bones are honestly getting to me these days.
