Q. Who according you is the most stylish actress?
Angelina Jolie.
Q. And in B-town?
My sister, Karisma Kapoor.
Q. Your most stylish film?
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G) and more recently Student of The Year. The movie was well-styled.
Q. Which of your movies do you find stylish?
Besides K3G, Kambakhht Ishq and Tashan.
Q. Most stylish moment?
When I wore a saree designed by Manish Malhotra at Filmfare Awards Red Carpet 2011.
Q. Who was your first style inspiration?
My mother (erstwhile actor Babita) has always been stylish. I remember she wore tight leather pants with red lipstick. On screen she used to wear tight churidaars, short kurtas and don those big bouffants. She was the one who started the trend. As a child, I wanted to ape her style. She was stylish even when she was at home. She wore killer kaftans.
Q. A natural feature which ups your sex-appeal?
My eyes are extremely sexy. The Kapoors are known for their light eyes, which Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) and I are blessed with. Lolo has blue eyes, I have green.
Q. Who would you dub as the most stylish pair?
Saif and I are extremely stylish on and offscreen.
Q. Your mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore too was a style icon. Has she given you any tips?
Her fashion statement is all about being understated. Elegance is key in whatever she does. Her choice of sarees, dresses and hairstyle have so much elegance. I'm yet to get there.
Q. Are you conscious about the brands you wear?
I'm not label conscious. But I know a lot of people who are. But brands, which I really like are Zara and Mango. Their style and fit is amazing. It's not necessary that I wear a Gucci or a Prada always. Some new age designers are good too.
Q. Do you believe Indians have become more stylish over the years?
Indians are not stylish at all. There are few who know their style. We still have a long way to go. We believe by wearing designer labels one gets stylish. But that's not true. But I do find Tanya Godrej (Industrialist) stylish.
Q. What's your fashion statement?
Being casual and most importantly comfortable in my own skin works best for me. I can make even a grey Tee and blue jeans look stylish and sexy. It's not about wearing a Roberto Cavalli all the time. I wear what I want to and I don't worry about what others have to say about it.
Q. Your most stylish purchases?
I'm a shopaholic. I love to purchase bags, shoes and dresses. Even Saif is the same when it comes to shopping. Both of us like clothes and we shop a lot.
Q. You like Saif best in?
He looks good in jeans, tee and a bandana. For him, it isn't about wearing Tom Ford suits. He makes torn jeans look stylish. That's Saif for you.
Q. Any style tips from hubby dearest?
He likes his style to be understated and not loud. He doesn't care about anything else. He suggests the same for me.
Q. Who's the worst styled celeb?
(Winks) I don't follow everyone's style to know this.
Q. The most stylish place you've visited?
Paris. It's the entire feel of the city. They're so well-dressed even when they're out for a normal lunch. They don't always wear these elaborate gowns like we do. Instead, they wear cool jackets and leggings; which is so casual and chic.
Q. What's your idea of a stylish occasion?
I love dinner dates. The perfect stylish date would be a candlelight dinner at The Ritz in Paris with jazz playing in the background.
Q. Who's the most stylish person in your family?
Lolo (Karisma Kapoor). She's keeps telling me what kind of clothes to wear and yells at me if she doesn't like them.
