Zoya in new promo

Just watched promo and I hope that Zoya's zinda dafnana wala scene was her dream sequence when she thinks of Asad's reaction of her taking Mariums' spot in Nikaah. As it is too OTT I felt, also Zoya keep saying the words "Jahanpanah Zinda dafna denge" so make better sense..

I differ with your opinion... I don't think it's OTT at all... These types of things are very common in South Asia.. It really happens... If a girl can get gangraped in public in a moving bus then this is nothing... These types of things happen in India and sadly their isn't an Asad with Everbody who will come to the rescue...

The strangest part of the current scenario is that conservative mangalpurians will allow an item number in their weddings but will bury a runaway bride alive. Lol-worthy.

Other fight part was too good, they looked good. Asad's intensity of anger was bang on..

Don't think its a dream. its going to happen for real. And sadly and unfortunately these things do happen in India even today. Honor killing, female foeticide, burning widows, Marrying off girls to those who raped them... these are things which happen countless of times even today.. Have you seen Amir Khan's show SJ? if not please see the episodes. then you will understand what actually happens in some parts of India..its sad , horrible and unbelievable to us .. but these things happen. and seriously we should be really grateful for being who we are and being so blessed.. Appreciate the QH creatives for showing this in some way.

Then again, maybe it was to highlight the hypocrisy of the community, something which Zoya can use to point out Asad's misplaced notions of propriety (like in Ishaqzaade, the song was reflective of patriarchal values and the double standards of the communities). I doubt it's the latter because things like that are never discussed by the characters. It's been my complaint about all of 4Lion's productions -- that there characters don't talk enough when it really matters and don't say what needs to be said.

I agree with you totally...found that in Dill Mill Gayye too...never say what they have to and add unrealistic scenarios which are most inappropriate to the storyline without any explanations!

Tanvi is right, things that may seem over the top to people outside of India, is something that people face here in India quite often. it's not uncommon for honnor killings to take place in India, and in most villages even the police are involved, or do not get involved to interven.
