I am also watching this show as the story seems to be somewhat different form the saas-bahu or typical romance types. So far it is being centered around the mother-daughter story with a political backdrop.
The way the story is unfolding is completely different from how it was promoted before it started. I think the slow pace might be because they want to establish the characters and the relationship dynamics - there are so many of them. And this is without knowing Garv's family and past in relation to Appa Saheb.
Let us hope it picks up speed from next week/Janurary 2013.
