Arjun: kaisi misunderstanding ma? Uss ladki ne…..[stops] khair chodiye….mujhe isske baare mein kuch baat nahi karni hai…aap jaahiye aur uss party khatam keejiye…..leave me alone for sometime….
His mom leaves……
Meanwhile, Riya is disturbed thinking about Arjun's weird mood swings……he was so happy and appeared normal and cool one moment….just in a matter of few minutes, he had become angry, all flared up and eyes were fuming….his change scared her like hell! Thought she went to Shree and Gauri, her thoughts were wavering around Arjun……he definitely had an impact on her….she couldn't refute it to herself atleast!...
Her eyes fluttered when his gaze locked them up…….Her body reacted in the craziest manner when he touched her (during the dace, she was fully in his control and acted like a mere doll dancing to his control strings)……..though she kept herself under control, her heart flung out to him…….And now his mood swings trembled her as well!!! "Why do I even care to bother about that??? He is still a stranger to you…..and how can you get attracted to him in just a couple of meets, to be precise, just two times, and you cant get carried away like that……….Get a grip girl!" She smacked herself before turning to Shree-Gauri's continuous chit chat!

Arjun went into a quick trip down his memory lane and his mind raced behind to the day when he had known that bitter truth which had twisted his life in a big way! It had affected many lives and entangled many in a hazy knot…….the knot was such that all their destiny of their lives were neither separable nor repairable! It was not clear who did what and where the mistake lie but it was sure not a pleasant thing…….
He walked to the draw and took out a box which had the main key to those secrets….he opened it and took out the first letter from them…….
It was addressed to Arjun….
Dearest Arjun,
Shaayad aap iss letter na pade……shaayad aap mujhe bhool bhi chukhe…..par mujhe kuch kehna tha……isiliye likh rahi hoom…….meri aakhri letter……ab isske aage kuch bhi karke aapko disturb nahi karungi……

Par mujhe nahi pathaa tha ke woh sab ek jhoot tha…..ek fareb tha……sirf ek khel mujhe paane keliye….mujhe nahi sirf mere………..[she broke the sentence mid way but what she meant to say was predictable…..]
Aapne ek baar kahaa bhi tha ke yeh sab ek naatak hai magar main aap ke pyar mein itni dhoobi thi ke mujhe lagaa ke aap mazaag kar rahe ho…mujhe kya pathaa tha ke aap mere pyar ko hi ek mazaag banaakar rakh denge!!
Binaa kuch kahe, bina kuch soche saath janmon ka waadha thodhke yun chale gaye jaise humaare beech kuch tha hi nahi…..
Aap keliye mujhse pyar sirf ek time pass hoga par mere liye mere zindagi thi….meri sapna thi…mere manzil thi….mere jeene ki wajah thi……aur isi pyar ke sahaare aapke intezaar mein jee bhi lethi par ab woh bhi nahi kar sakthi………
Iss chitti ke saath unn saare yaadon ko bejh rahi hoom jo aapne kabhi mujhe pyar se diya tha…..bas ek cheez nahi bejh sakthi……kyunki woh mere andhar saaz le rahi hai…..haan, aap ka diya hua aapka bacchaa….aur wahi reason hai ke main ab aur intezaar nahi kar sakthi……mere pariwaar ke izzat aur khushi keliye mujhe yeh karna hi padega……mujhe jaana padega……kahaa jaa rahi hoom??…patha nahi….shaayad iss duniya se dhoor, bohat dhoor jaahan koyi mujhe pehchaanega nahi…..aur jab tak iss chitti aap tak paunchegi chali bhi gayi hogi……
jaathe jaathe bas ek baat kehna chaathi hoom…….maine aapse sirf pyar….saccha pyar kiya hai……

Arjun kept back the letter and looked at the other letters and small romantic gifts which were sent back with this letter…."kyun sameer?? Kyun kiya tumne aisa???? Jiss sameer ko main jaantha tha woh aise toh bilkul nahi tha??? mujhse kahaan galthi hui tum jaise aadhmi ko pehchaanne mein???
Tumne mera pehchaan use kiya, mera naam use kiya..isse mujhe koyi farq nahi padtha…..par ek boli baali innocent ladki ke life ko aise barbaadh kiya ke woh apne jaan deh di?? tumne maara hai usse Sameer…tumne….…chaahe woh ladki tumhe maaf kar deh….par main….main tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karunga……

Main jaantha hoom ke tum mujhe kabhi maaf nahi karoge Arjun aur karna bhi nahi chahiye…..par yakeen maano mere dhost, maine yeh sab kuch jaan booch ke nahi kiya…..sabke peeche ek reason tha….ek majhboori tha…..par tum mere justifications sunna bhi nahi chahthe……aur haan shaayad mere justifications ka ab koyi matlab nahi kyun ki mera pyar mera Reshma mujhe chodhkar chali gayi hai…[talking to Reshma's photo]…Kyun shona??? Kyun kiya itna jald baazi?? Thodi waqt deh dehthi…..main sab kuch teek kar dehtha….aur yun tumme khotha nahi!!!

My note: I know all this confuses you…Why Sameer did all that will come later but I wish to clear some other things……….yes Sameer had used Arjun's name in Darjeeling and also stayed in his guest house for sometime…..When Sameer went missing, Reshma felt that he had dumped her and was heart broken……She had written that letter and packed it with all the other gifts and letters from Sameer (I mean Arjun for her) and left it at the guest house which Arjun gets on his next visit……He understands the entire matter because he already knew that Sameer had come to stay there for a few months…..When Arjun confronts Sameer over the phone, he also agrees to have known Reshma and confesses about the love affair and the secret wedding but before he could give further explanations, Arjun snaps him and throws him out of his life! He breaks all ties and vows never to see or talk to him again
Somehow, Arjun also felt guilty and responsible on behalf of his friend!! so he treasured those gifts and letter till date in a faint hope that she would some day come back and he will try to unite her with Sameer!
Both Arjun and Sameer try to search for Reshma in their own ways but fail to track her down and ultimately conclude that she had commited suicide!
[I am not going into details of how, why and what….just understand that there were lot of confusions and misunderstandings……and all of these just happened...you might get more clarity in the future parts...]

Arjun suddenly snapped out of his thoughts remembering something……."Riya….ohh no, yeh maine kya kiya? Maine usse bina kuch kahe aise rudely chale aaya…..na jaane woh kya soch rahi hogi mere baare mein!! Pehli baar kisi ladki mujhe acchi lagi aur maine usse hi….."
He did complete it….he rushed downstairs into the party area……luckily Riya was there and some argument was going on…..and as he neared them, he understood that it was about dropping Riya back at the hostel…..Shree was going to drop both Gauri and Riya but the directions were totally opposite and Riya was insisting that she would manage by herself and Shree should go to drop Gauri……My mom was searching for our driver to drop Riya……
"Main Riya ko drop kardoonga!!"
All turned to him with a weird expression on their faces...his mom was shocked the most…..just a few minutes ago, she had seen his other side…..and now, so quickly, he is offering a lift to Riya…..it sounded like music to his mom's ears and she was quick to realize that Riya was special to her son……and she definitely had a good positive effect on Arjun…….badi maa was getting positive vibes from all that was happening and it wasn't hidden to Shree as well….
Shree: haan bhai…main bhi wahi soch raha tha……Riya, tum bhai ke saath chalo….main Gauri ko drop kar letha hoom…..chalen gauri…..
[Shree leaves with Gauri before Riya could protest….]
Arjun comes near Riya….."hum bhi chalen…..tumhe dher ho rahi hogi na??"
A few minutes later, they are in the car zooming towards her hostel….
"Itni chup kyun ho???" he broke the awkward silence first
Riya: [turning to his side] kuch nahi…..
Arjun: phir kuch bolthi kyun nahi?
Riya: aap bhi toh chup hai?? Kyun? [indirectly hinting at his sudden anger]
Arjun: accha bathaao, kaisa lagaa party??
Riya: hmmm accha tha……rocking party thi….Shree aur aunty ne sab acche se plan kiya tha…..
Arjun: [a bit disappointed that she didn't mention his name] haan….woh toh hai…..aur humaara competition jeethna??? Woh kaisa lagaa??
Riya: jeeth sab ko khushi dehthi hai…main bhi khush hoom!
Arjun: par lagtha nahi ke tum khush ho, huh?
Riya: kya aap mann bhi padh lethe ho?
Arjun: nahi ab tak mann toh nahi pada….par zubaan pe jo khushi tum laa rahi ho, woh tumaare aankhon mein nahi jhalak rahi hai……isiliye poocha?
Riya was a bit stunned by his direct reply……but she voiced out "accha…..aur kuch pathaa chala mere aankhon se??"
Arjun turns to her and unaware of himself stops the car….he looks into her eyes…."tum jaanthe ho, tumaari aankhen bohat baatein karthi hai…..jo bhi tum nahi bolthi woh sab bhi keh jaathi hai…."
She seems locked in his dreamy gaze……she doesn't turn away from him either…….

His fingers slowly move towards her face but before he could touch her cheeks, the song abruptly stops and the RJ speaks up "hello viewers……rukhaawat ke liye khed hai……lagtha hai kisi ke pyar ka pehghaam unn tak paunchnaemey abhi thoda waqt aur lagega…."
She turns away while Arjun snaps out angrily and switches off the radio!
Arjun's POV: shit! Yeh mujhe kya hua tha??? aise kyun keencha chala gaya usske paas???
He smacked himself!!
Riya's POV: Riya, tum yeh kya karne jaa rahi thi?? Tumaare didi ke wahi galthi karne waali ho kya??? Kisi anjaan aadhmi ko kaise itne kareeb aane di tumne??? Shaayad iss Arjun uss Arjun ke tarah na ho lekin tum iss pyar vyar ke chakkhar mein nahi padh sakthi…Get hold of your wavering mind Riya…..tumhe ek manzil hai jiss ke aage tumhe aur kuch nahi soojhna chahiye!! samjhe tum???
Arjun's POV: shaayad Riya hi woh ladki hai jiska mujhe intezaar hai…..jo meri banegi…jo mujhe pyar karegi……..
He smiles at that crazy thought and starts the car…….he glances to her side to see her reaction but she is turned towards the window and he feels may be she is embarrassed "lagtha hai sharmaagayi!"
Riya's POV: Stop it Riya….Stop thinking about this guy……it isnt going to do you any good……on the contrary, it will end up troubling you more and land you in a deep pit!
They reach her hostel…..he pulls up the car near the gates and turns to her side……She gives a totally blank expression and voices a weak "thanks for the lift!"
He is a little surprised by her sudden change of attitude towards him….he could feel a sudden distance in her otherwise cordial and close talk…but he feels that she is still not out of that close encounter and replies "my pleasure Riya…"
Riya: bye….good night….
[As she is about to get out, he calls her back and gives her a romantic cute smile and then like magic pulls out a rose and holds it out to her "A rose for the pretty lady! Friends?"]
Riya doesn't smile or accept it……instead she thinks to herself "I cant encourage any such things and get him to build false hopes about me…..mujhe usse abhi se hi dhoor rakhna hoga! Main koyi bhi galath fehmhi create nahi karungi…."
Riya: sorry Arjun…..i cant take this…..its very sweet of you to give this to me….yeh pehli baar hai jab koyi itna sweet gesture mere liye kar raha hai….par phir bhi main yeh nahi le sakthi……koyi bhi rishta, chaahe dhosti bhi kyun na ho, aise jald baazi mein nahi ho sakthi…..sab keliye apna ek waqt hota hai…….dont force this on me…plz…..Bye
[Saying so, she got down and walked off in a hurry not looking back even once leaving behind a totally shocked and confused Arjun…but the initial shock soon turned into a smile and he told to himself "tum kya kehna chaathi ho, woh mujhe samajh aagaya Riya par main tumhe aise yunhi chodh nahi saktha…….you are too special to me! Tumhe waqt chahiye na…..mere paas tumaare liye waqt hi waqt hai!!!"]
He drives off happily lost in her thoughts!
