As I write this post I am filled with anguish at the state of this forum over the past few days
There are all kinds of camps
There are all kinds of fights
There are all kinds of negative posts
There are hate posts
Some downright rude and derogatory about actors or views of other people and some targetted at members
With the show a lot of things have ended
Basic respect for other people's views, however different from our own it may be
Basic respect for a human being, be it for an actor who has left or an actress who was hurt or for fan girls or for bashers
Basic space for each other letting whoever drool over whichever actor they want
Basic courtesy in talking to people, whichever camp they belong to, whatever be the so called 'sins' they have comitted
Basic manners such as not using curse words for real people for the sake of a show
Basic human dignity, that does not strip individuals or actors of their dignity
Does the end of the show mean end of values?
Does the end of a show mean end of harmony?
Does the end of a show mean human beings cease to be human beings?
Rudeness and insults can never be fashionable no matter how finely or in how refined an English or other language they are put
Hurting others can never be fun, no matter how much humour it gives, because a joke that comes at the expense of another person is not a joke
And here I am speaking as a person who was once bashed by ASR bashers
And now bashed by Barun bashers and anti show closing people
I belong to no camp because I am a Khushi fan and was part of the Sanaya gang
But now strongly stand by Barun and basic human respect for him and his decision
Today it is distressing to see the state the forum has fallen into
Because at the end of the day it was a show
But the people hitting at each other and even the actors are real
Why are we forgetting that?
Why are we forgetting love, peace, symathy, empathy, politeness are always more valuable and precious than a few petty fights?
Is this preaching? May be
Will this be of use? May be not
But how hard is it to live and let live?
PS: My dear friend asked me if this post is against bashers
No way
Or at least not bashers as I see them
It refers to anyone using abusive words or insults or strppiing people of human dignity for whichever camp
Be it Barun camp, Viraf camp or Sanaya camp
