A SAD END TO A FAIRY TALE!

Although fingers have been pointed in all directions, the fact remains that we lost something very precious to our heart! A serial which made the characters turn into our family, and made the strangers whom we didn't know but still met on the site and forum become our second family, should not have been given such an ignominious exit!

The fandom requests of not letting another lead come in between Arnav and Khushi and to end the Arnav-Khushi love story by keeping them together if Barun was unable to continue was interpreted by the channel, the production house and the cast as the demand to shut down the show! They did not understand that ending the Arnav-Khushi story could have been achieved by sending Arnav for an international business project which could last for six months if need be, but the show could have gone on!

Akash and Payal's love story could have culminated with a baby, Khushi and her past, Anjali with a new love interest, Mami and Mamaji's past love story revealed, NK's love story, NK joining hands with Khushi for a new business venture, La and her return or another side story with La and NK getting together, Babuji's recovery and subsequent revelations of Shyam's duplicity and murderous intentions, coupled with Anjali getting to know about Shyam's attempts to murder her,Shyam's arrest, trial and punishment could have been woven into a beautiful tapestry wherein Barun's absence could have been covered with some old and new shots! The ending to the story with all the numerous loops closed would have been tolerable even if it was later announced that Barun was unable to return to the show! The production house chose to give us bad tracks like the Sheetal/Aarav track and Khushi's OTT, simply as a means of forcing the viewers to protest against it! Their intentions remain unfathomable to me, why would someone kill their own baby?

THE SHODDY MANNER OF CLOSURE DOES NOT SIT WELL WITH THE IMAGE OF SUCH A BIG CHANNEL ALONG WITH THE CONTINUOUS FLASHING OF THAT DISCLAIMER TRANSFERRING ALL THE BLAME ON TO THE ACTOR! LEFT A BAD TASTE IN THE MOUTH! But it also remains to be considered that Star Plus would not have put out such a disclaimer which is the first time any such thing has happened in history, without verifying the contents! They would have not left themselves open to legal dispute or a defamation case without consulting their legal department, if proved wrong, Barun has the right to file a defamation case against them! The fact that it was constantly displayed for three consecutive penultimate episodes proves that Barun was aware of it and did not have any issues with it! The other cast of Sanaya and team and the workers of the production house are the real sufferers in this whole sordid saga!

It has definitely left a void in my heart, I was too intensely involved with the writing of Arnav's thoughts, Direct Dil se, that it hurt too much for all the time when the rumors and blame game was going on! It felt like a part of my heart and soul was torn asunder and left to die! Now as I struggle to come back to reality, a part of me will forever be lost in the fairy tale of ASR and Khushi!

Sadly, all fairytales come to an end! The star -crossed lovers like Romeo-Juliet, Heer-Ranjha and Sohni-Mahiwal now have Arnav-Khushi for company!

I have decided to start from the beginning, the first Episode, to relive again in those magical moments! Having joined later only in January and begun writing in March, I would like to continue my writings if there are readers to read it!
