I was pleasantly surprised and very excited when Sona shared this idea with me and asked me to join her in this collaboration. I love Sona's writings, so a collaboration with her is an honour.

Music for me, as some of my readers may have noticed, is something I associate my writing with a lot. Most of my stories have lyrics quoted or videos embedded or are inspired from some song...it is so because many a times it happens that I get inspired to write or even ideas to write when I am listening to some song or the other...its like the words, the melody speak to me on a different level and demand of me to write what it wants to say.

Hence, this idea just seemed perfect to me...

Also, the fact that IPKKND ended and the way it did has disappointed all of us but somehow the memories of that show, that cast still give me matter to write and I hope you like it as well.

And to add here I will not be updating my entries here on IF. There will be a teaser, yes, but it will take you to my personal blog where you will be able to read the rest of the story. This is because of plagiarism of my work which makes me uncomfortable posting my work here on IF. Please, please, please respect our work as our creations and please don't copy. The same is extended to this idea in general.

A Few Words...

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has been and shall remain if not the driving force, then one of the main reasons to give my love for writing a public platform. It has brought me friends, a connection with the characters of the show so deep, I cried with a few other fanatics like me, for a good whole day. It still feels surreal that it has ended. It's like a small, but very significant parts of our lives have been snatched away from us.

Anyhow, whilst listening to a few interesting songs over the last week, I had been mulling over this idea of penning down thoughts, stories and drabbles, that are triggered into our minds immediately while witness an incident in our daily monotonous lives, or being part of a small gesture. It could be a soulful track or a folk song, or a few messy words, but enough to set into flow a string of ideas, flashbacks, memories.

This venture with Rae, is meant to relive the days of the show, relive some past memories, wallow in some mistakes, think over future dreams and yes, spring forth a potpourri of varied music.

To memories. To dreams.

You always have the knack of making me want to drench in memories and also create new! And fall in love of course! The characters you built up are so close to people you would see everyday but maybe not give a second glance to but with your stories, you just want to go back to them...sigh.

Arnav as a lanky man you would dismiss at first glance just because of how he dressed up or how he behaved, not looking much into him, takes up army?! Will I be completely wrong if I said that I thought that it may be because of Khushi...get in her good books? ;) :D

Nice job, Army man Raizada! :D

And then Khushi...she shows her mettle too, didnt she? Refused to marry Rajat, waited for him with no hope at all but then had the courage to forgive him when he came back because she understood it was love. :)

And then the song and the fact that you used two different songs - Maeri and Jhoom - and I love both of them and they both fit beautifully here! Sigh. <3

OMG! What was this? Sona you are a fabulous writer, whenever I read your work I am transported into another world & I am not joking. The flow is so flawless & the way you describe everything is beyond appreciation. Everything is so perfect & well-written.

I loved the story. Arnav as a NDA cadet sounds good sorry sounds Hot ;) I loved the way this story progressed, the way all the events played out & fate played it's role..everything was perfect. My heart skipped a beat when I read that he didn't call after his grandfather's death, I thought of every possibility that would stop him from calling back. You won't believe me but I also thought that khushi's father has restricted him from visiting khushi, yeah I know I am filmy :P

The ending was beautiful. I was blushing when Arnav said "I want you khushi" :D

Brilliant work Sona!

P.S.- You need to teach me editing, how can you edit a picture so beautifully?

So, I have been stalking :D

Oh this OS was beautiful! What a start. I can almost hear the sounds from the pandals, visualize C.R. Park during Durga Pooja. You've left me with goosebumps, the words and the music! Khushi hardly speaks a word in the whole thing, and Arnav speaks very few words but with such honesty and simplicity - its heart warming. And the song does so well with it, especially when it says,

Teri ik nazar pe meri, saans ka sahara hai
Tumse binti karta hoon dil todo na hamara

Haye, main mar jawaan :P We didn't need dialogues, the song did everything :)

"...you're so beautiful ..."The line was said looking into her eyes, his own not blinking, bearing an austerity even he couldn't fathom, then. This was before his gaze had travelled down her form over a languid pace, slow, unhesitant and ambling, unbeknownst to the thrill he was washing her over with.

Such simple words from Arnav -" you are beautiful", "I want you" ... , no glitter at all. Yet they are more poetic and have more warmth than any grand declarations. You don't just write, you create magic, my dear! The smile this has left on my face is so wide and bright, I'm sure its going to blind those around me. What is that, if not magic ?
