Open letter to viewers of IPKKND (I cut and paste this letter from Forum32's website)

After such a public and open letter to the fans was released, you can clearly see how this enraged the ever so patient fans. All the fans were outraged by such a letter. I mean what production house comes out openly saying that they have no storyline left and need the fan's help. I mean this looked 100% deliberate. Especially when we saw that three of the cast members left the show. If you ask every fan out there they can tell you that there is so much story still to be told. In fact the writers and Creative Visual (CVs) had ample opportunity to make some very powerful tracks and they DID NOT take advantage of that and create such tracks. Instead they gave us crap that made no sense and tracks that started randomly and ended abruptly. How can a creator lose total interest in a show that has only been around for a year and a half. At one point Gul Khan was so proud of this show. This was her baby...I'll tell you how Gul Khan lost interest, it's because she has created a new show called Qubool Hai..this show isn't broadcasting on StarPlus...it's on another channel. This is Gul's/4-lions trend. They/she creates a show that gets everyone hooked, has a HUGE fan base, then they "get bored with it" and she tears the show apart and ruins all the characters that the actors have spend so much time creating and perfecting. Gul/4-lions did this to GEET and now they are doing it to IPKKND...what makes this all even worst is that StarPlus, the mega channel that is broadcasting this show had no idea that Gul/4-lions sent out such an open letter. Now for arguments sake if they really didn't know, once they found out they should have taken things seriously so it didn't come to this point. Instead they say mum and did absolutely nothing. StarPlus never tried to reassure the actors/actresses that nothing is wrong and that their show will be great and will have a long life.

Once this open letter was public knowledge the biggest bomb shell was dropped, that the show's lead, Mr. Barun Sobti decided that he was going to "take a break for a longish period of time"

This put the fans in an utter frenzy and fans all over the world were shocked. I mean how can such a popular show lose it's lead...and more importantly how can a channel like StarPlus allow this to happen. It made no sense to us until we started to piece the puzzle together...that Gul/4-lions are behind all of this...I mean how else do you explain 4 cast members and one of the show's producer's quitting...it makes no sense...it's not a coincidence. Fans had so many questions and we were all fairly aggressive because neither Gul Khan, 4-lions or even StarPlus was saying a damn thing...they tore every fans world apart with this shit and didn't say a peep. Finally with the fans aggressiveness Gul released a video on 4-lions forum with her and Barun Sobti. I think she wanted this video to help fans deal with the fact that Barun decided to leave on his own but instead it did the opposite and fans were even more outraged. They were because the interview looked 100% controlled and rehearsed. It didn't look like Barun was free to say what he wanted to say. Barun says he hasn't quit, he's just taking a break, then we hear from other source that he has quit, then we hear that he is going to be replaced by another actor...Comments after comments (all contradicting one another ) and fans were and are still not getting the answers to the questions they were asking...there was and is still a lot of uncertainty. The fans have been very vocal with StarPlus saying that they can take control of IPKKND at anytime and they haven't done so.

Now I get that actors/actresses leave their television shows all the time but the reason way the fans are not willing to let this go is because of ALL the back and forth crap the fans have been dealing with since all of this broke out. StarPlus, 4-Lions and Gul Khan have all been absolutely unprofessional and in all honesty none of them have a damn clue what they are doing.

As a mega Channel, StarPlus should be on the ball with this. They should have done damage control right when this all came out. They should have been more serious and should have been more strict and stern with 4-lions. StarPlus has all rights to decide what a show can and cannot do. At the end, what happens is their call...they have the final say. They are obviously well aware that Barun Sobti, Sanaya Irani are two of their golden eggs...their pairing of Arnav and Khushi is like nothing else on TV...they know that letting IPKKND fall apart is the dumbest move ever, still they are doing NOTHING...fans are begging and pleading with them to handle this and they are truly disappointing.

StarPlus has a motto which is: "We Listen To Our Fans" ...for weeks now fans have been spamming them, tweeting them and calling them to Retain Barun Sobti and take over the show but they are not listening...then why in gods name do they have such a bold motto if they have no intention to follow it...It's lying and cheating the fans and there's nothing honest about that. How can you trust a channel that doesn't in fact care at all about the fans..those fans are what is making StarPlus successful...Hopefully other fans of other shows on StarPlus will soon realize that the people behind this channel are dishonest and two-faced...they are cheaters, crooks and quite frankly have no idea what show business is...what it means to keep fans happy.

As for 4-lions and Gul Khan, I have some terrible things to say but it may not be appropriate so I will get to the point. They are supposed to be a professional production house. To me it looks like they have NO idea what they are doing. Who spends lots of time, money and effort to create a storyline, then hire actors/actresses to play those parts, make it one the most successful shows in Indian television only to get bored with it and ruin it after a year. Now tell me how is that professional and how it that right by the fans...They have no PR skills and quite frankly they are a JOKE...the funny part is, after toying with the fans emotions, after ripping this amazing show apart, they have the tenacity to tell the fans to watch their new show Qubool Hai. If I had it my way, I'd close up their operation. They are making a joke out of the television industry and have ruined the integrity of an AMAZING SHOW...on top of that, they have truly disrespected and spit in the faces of these amazing actors and actresses who have give up a year and a half of their life to the success of this show (IPKKND). It's very disgraceful. When the fans tell them that we all want them to give the rights of the show to StarPlus so that they can then find another PH for the show, they are refusing to give it up.

They don't want to keep the show going because they have let their cast leave, and they "apparently have run out of story lines" but they don't want to give the show up either...I think think that what they need to do at this point is to bow down, give the show up to StarPlus and leave with what tiny little dignity they have left.

StarPlus needs to man up and be the Channel it's meant to be and 4-lions needs to just stop this immature behaviour and give it up...give up the show and then they can work all they want on Qubool Hai. It seems that neither care at all about the fans who quite frankly are the most important thing here. Without us no one would watch their channel and the show's they produce.

I am complaining to you in hopes that you can somehow do something about StarPlus, and 4-lions. I'm sure this isn't the only complaint you guys have received. Please take us seriously.
