Hello, I have never posted a thread nor have I ever written a story. So I
hope both work out okay. Hopefully my first attempt isn't a total bust.
Enjoy. Ch. 1 It was a cloudy day outside, which was threatening to change
drastically to become a level three hurricane any day now. Bani was
returning to her hotel when she heard the forecast in the taxi cab, and
she immediately thought to call Pia and Rano to make sure they would
not worry about her. "Hello Di, are you okay?" questioned Rano, the
bookworm, of the three sisters. "I heard about the storm passing through
your area. I hope it won't affect you. And I am so upset you couldn't make
it with us back to India for Raashi's wedding!" "I know Rano, I wanted to
come but what can I do, my fashion house is launching its new designs
during fashion week in Singapore and I need to be there more than
anyone." "Oh hang on Rano, I need to pay the driver. Give me a second."
Bano juggled her purse and the bags of shopping she had just done,
while exiting the taxi. Finally finding her phone again… "Send Rashi my
regards, and also tell Pia I said to stop ogling at the boys and do some
studying too…" Bani exclaimed into the cell phone. "If only it were that
easy to convince her didi." Rano sighed into the phone before hanging
up. Bani hung up the phone and started walking into the 7-star hotel in
front of her. The view was breath taking, with the lobby filled with an
exotic garden that seemed to stretch for miles and a view of the pool that
would have made any child jump for joy. "Hmm… at least this travel agent
is better than the last one I had…" Bani thought to her self. She crossed
the majestic lobby and reached the front desk. "Hello Ms., how are you
this evening?" "Oh... I'm fine thanks…just need to check in and then I am
crawling into your pool. The young boy behind the desk smiled and
thought to him self, if only he weren't on duty he too would be crawling
after her. Bani walked into her suite on the 51st floor and shut the door.
"Ahh…! What a view and what a room!" Bani let out a girlish giggle and
decided to go change into her bathing suit to take a dip before heading
down to dinner. Jai walked into the hotel and smiled. Not bad… he
thought. He had seen so many hotels in this life that when he smiled and
thought one was nice… it meant it was nice. He walked up to the front
desk and asked the teenage boy behind the desk for his room key. "Oh
Mr. Walia, I am so sorry I didn't see you." "I will get it right away." "No
work ethic.." grumbled Jai as he turned around to look more closely at his
surrounding. "Hmm that pool looks very inviting after such a long flight
from India." Maybe I will go and swim a few laps before dinner… Jai
walked onto the pool patio and took off his shirt and looked around.
There was just one other person swimming in the pool and most likely
they wouldn't run into each other in such a massive pool so dropped his
shirt, room key and shoes on an abandoned chair and jumped in. 50 laps
later and breathing heavily, Jai stopped alongside the edge to catch his
breath. "Not bad for an old man..." Jai thought to himself. He wasn't that
old, and he certainly didn't look the part with his toned chest, and
chiseled biceps. He had bee
n out of college for some time now but he still
had one of the most envied bodies among men and the most drooled
after body among women. It also didn't hurt that he was one of the
richest men in India. Jai leaned his head back against the ledge of the
pool when a flicker of light starting bothering his eye. He looked around
to see what was causing the light to bounce into his eyes when he saw
her. She was wearing a black bikini, which had a belt of small round
mirrors lining the bottom underwear and little mirrors lining the top bra
portion. Jai watched her carefully as she flipped her luminous black hair
over her head spraying water everywhere. "The way she was arching her
back…" Better not finish that thought Jai thought to him self. He then
watched her walk out of the pool and towards the pool bar. Bani was
exhausted and thirsty after swimming her laps. She was thoroughly
enjoying the weather, even though she now felt a tad bit on the chilly side
since she was soaking wet. She shivered involuntarily while waiting for
the bartender to finish hitting on the two teenage girls on the other side
of the bar. "They probably aren't even of legal age to drink," muttered
Bani to herself. She ordered her usual martini on the rocks and walked
away from the poolside bar. She had been eyeing the Jacuzzi while
waiting for her drink, and thought it would be perfect to sit back and
relax while enjoying her drink. Bani slipped into the smaller than average
Jacuzzi. She wondered who was the architect who build such a massive
pool and then added a microscopic jacuzzi to the design. "Hmmm… this
is heaven" Bani thought to herself and found a comfy seat where the jets
of water were massaging her back. Bani laid her head back and closed her
eyes. Jai walked over to the Jacuzzi and stopped enjoying the scenery in
front of him. The mystery woman was resting her head against the ledge
and had her eyes closed. "She is beautiful," Jai thought to himself. Jai
wasn't the kind of man who went after women. They usually just came to
him. "This should be interesting," Jai thought to himself as he quietly slid
into the pool and sat directly across from her, and watching her silently.
Bani felt someone watching her, and slowly opened her eyes. She gasped
at the proximity of the man in front of her. "How did I not notice him get
in?" Bani chided her self. But then she looked at him closely and couldn't
help but wonder "How incredibly handsome he was"… Jai was enjoying
watching her face contort from shock, to confusion, to curiosity. "Hi, I'm
Jai…" He said as he extended his hand towards her. "Hi, I'm Bani" she
replied shaking his hand in reply. "Have you been in Singapore long?" He
continued, curiosity getting the better of him. "No… actually flew in
today" "What brings you to Singapore?" "Do you always ask so many
questions?" Bani exclaimed with a mischievous grin. "Only with people
who capture my attention full heartedly" Jai replied honestly. "Oh… I'm
glad to be of service then." Jai laughed, which was more of a rumble from
deep down in his belly, and turned to Bani and whispered, "So tell me…"
Bani leaned closer in spite of herself to hear him above the roar of the
jets of water. "What would you like to know?" Bani flirted back. "What did
you do wrong to make God send such an angel like you down to earth"
Bani blushed such a shade of red, that Jai just laughed. Bani was having
so much fun that she didn't even realize that it was already dark out. Bani
started to get up and walk out, when Jai stopped her. "I didn't mean to
offend you… sorry" Bani turned around and saw Jai had folded his hands
in front of him, and was asking for forgiveness. "Oh stop that" Bani
swatted at Jai's hands to stop him from continuing the ridiculous display.
Bani all of a sudden lost her balance from the step she was standing on
and started to fall backwards when Jai caught her. She turned her face
only to be lost in a sea of brown. His eyes were clouded over, with an
emotion she couldn't make out. She felt protected in his arms; she felt
like she had found what she had been missing all of her life. Snapping out
of it, Jai put Bani back in the water, and waited to make sure she was
balanced and then let go of his hands around her waist. Bani felt a
sudden pang of longing when Jai removed his hand. Blushing at her
reaction to him Bani quickly muttered a "goodbye and thanks" and ran
from the jacuzzi. Jai was left behind closing and opening his palm, trying
to engrave the memory of her touch into his hands forever.
