So another thing that I have NEVER done before, email a Channel about a tv show. But I just had to do it so I can somehow justify all the countless hours I have spent loving and discussing this show. This is what I sent to the channel folks:

To whom it may concern,
I have been a loyal fan of your show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon from day one and today I am very disheartened that I have to resort to emailing you regarding the recent events.
As a global channel, I am sure you are aware of the reach your shows have nationally and internationally but I would still like to reiterate what IPKKND means to me and other viewers. I am an international audience who has never watched an Indian soap before. I am not even from India. When I came across this show, it took me by a surprise to see such a refreshing concept with such an amazing cast. I am not the only one. The entire fanbase of this show is as unique and diverse as this show. I have never seen any show with this kind of reach where people from all over the world are connected with each other because of the love of this show. There is an entire virtual world on Facebook, Twitter, India-Forums that lives, breathes this show every day. Numerous episode analyses, video messages, fan fictions have been written because of the inspiration this show gives the viewers.
To say I am upset, disheartened, irked, livid etc about the recent events is an understatement. The less I say about 4lions is the better. I along with almost all the online IPK community is well aware of the off screen drama that 4lions has been pulling off for a while. The show is absolutely NOTHING without Arnav and Khushi AND Arnav and Khushi are NOTHING without Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani. I am appalled that 4lions can come up with such a disgusting track to destroy their own show but I am not surprised at all. Their interest in the show has been waning for a while and their post on their forum32 asking for ideas, brought the point home. I had a hunch since the channel is not letting 4lions end the show, they will degrade the show so much that the audience will stop watching forcing the channel to take the show off air, I am afraid I wasn't wrong. What is even more surprising and confusing is the silence from the channel. I don't understand the inner workings of the channel and how these matters are handled so I can't and shouldn't tell you what to do. As a viewer, I should not be made aware of the off screen terms and conditions and negotiations but unfortunately in a virtually connected world, once a news is leaked, it goes viral. I am certain a respectable channel like yours would definitely be concerned if a small Production House is trying to malign its name.
This show has brought people together like no there. Non-Hindi speakers have learned the language, people have gotten subscription to your channel only for this show and will cancel it in a a heartbeat if the show is tampered. The number of hits on YouTube give you just a mere glimpse of how deeply and passionately this show is loved. The fan base for this show is really intelligent, smart, educated, professional folks who at the end of a hard day just want to sit and enjoy this show for the beautiful love story of Arnav and Khushi. As a loyal fan of the show, here are my humble requests:
1. Please take this show away from 4lions and give it to another Production House which respects the channel, actors and what this show represents.
2. If the actors have decided to leave the show, please end the show with the original cast and give it a graceful ending. Fans will be okay if the show ends in a month as long as it ends on a note that keeps the love story intact. Please don't let anyone butcher this love story.
3. Arnav and Khushi are nothing without each other. Some things should remain untouched. The idea of pairing them with other characters is disrespectful, despicable and disgusting to the characters and the actors who have put their heart and soul to make Arnav and Khushi come alive.
4. If for whatever reason, IPKKND can't continue with the story and cast intact, please give Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani a different show with a unique love story. You have a magical couple. immense talent and jackpot in your hand with these two.
If one of the leads leave, the viewers leave and the show is dead. If you let 4lions pursue the suggested track, no one will watch the show AND you run a very high risk of loosing viewer's respect. So far, the viewers are of the opinion that the channel will come through and stop this mockery. In case you let 4lions continue, the viewers will be dejected with Star Plus. The power of social media is immense, once the viewers unite there is no stopping them. The international viewership that SP has garnered because of IPK will disappear in a second. I am sure you don't want to risk that.
I by no means can tell you what steps to take. All I can hope for is as an employer, you will take the necessary corrective actions and respect your product, actors and the viewers. This show is a phenomenon because of Arnav and Khushi's love story. You take that away, you just have some random people on the screen reading random lines for 30 minutes. I don't know if it is too late to salvage the situation, I don't even know if my email will be acknowledged let alone read. As a fan all I can do is hope you will do what is right by the fans and the actors and not disappoint us.

👏 👏 Thank you for conveying what I feel. The fans of this once great show have been fantastic and have done all they can do. If it's over please just let it be over once and for all so everyone can move on
