Supporters and fans of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs' popular contestant Divakar are glad. Divakar the visually-impaired contestant who was eliminated last week has been brought back through popular mandate on the internet and through the SMSes that the channel received. Thousands of his supporters campaigned incessantly. "It wasn't just about popular support and sympathy votes. Everyone including the judges really thought Divakar was among the most gifted contestants on the show. His elimination stunned everybody. So, we had to bring him and four other very promising contestants Neha, Gurupreet, Arman and Prateek back," says the show's producer Gajendra Singh.
However, the return of Divakar and his colleagues was not taken well by the judges. All three judges Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik and a reluctant Bappi Lahiri staged a walk-out. The judges saw this as an unexpected move.
"But we coaxed them back, made them hear the five special contestants. By the end of the episode that will be telecast on Thursday the judges agreed that Divakar should've never been eliminated," says Singh Special guest Javed Akhtar too was stunned by Divakar's performance. "Today you're the favourite on Little Champs. Tomorrow you'll be a favourite all over India," said Akhtar appreciatively"
