Oh my Rima, that's not a nice comment at all and I completely understand it must have ticked you off, and pretty bad...

Rima, I have never been involved with a show as much as to find myself driven to the point of starting a petition...you know I sort of let it go but I always thought , people who did, really had the nerve and also the patience... you know a drive...I absolutely commend your patience in this regard.

I've been on the forum for 6 yrs now and and have seen 3-4 serials..albeit for a few weeks only... and lost connect and stopped but in those few weeks I have seen and observed the way the online fandom reacts, responds and receives ...what is dished out to them ..via the TV medium... and the thing abt being online is this a place with no faces..your virutal handles are your perse identity...or masks..and this sort of shadowy appearance allows people to come out and express what they feel ...something they wouldn't dare face to face or even in a more open platform... (not online)...some people are the same and some people assume the fake identity and this identity is what allows them to let out their angst in different ways...

People have very strong opinions..and they defend them... while a platform like this teaches us to be accepting of different opinions , it sadly also drives ppl to the point of becoming over defensive of their stand which leads to a lot of bad blood!

People will say what they want, even if they say it directly, let it go...it's not worth your time or your attention... you made a petition because you felt it was right and people supported it because they felt the petition was right or they felt it was right in its cause...and we are seeing the difference...aren't we? We are getting our show back...you know your posts even got me out of my self imposed vanvaas and I am reading the LUs now? :-) It's a different thing, I will take some time (work and other committments, before I get back to watching the show...am traveling like crazy) to get back to watching the videos but I sure will...am certain!

You are not answerable to anyone ...for what you did , especialyl not on this forum...Rima... so..I know...your patience is waning out,..because you are letting it affect you...but really hang in there... there are a bunch of ppl out there ...who think the way you do... and that should be comforting enough...don't let stuff affect you so bad... or rile you up... there are more stronger things that affected you...like the dignity of a woman and a portrayal of women in IPK which are worthy of attention...

*HUGS* hang in there buddy... you are the reason a lot of us have got our faith back in the show restored...I am one of them and that is saying a lot Rima...

When i read the LU...I thought to myself...Rima wanted this and look we got it! I thought of the petition... :-) It felt so good! And I wanted to see logic and am glad I ranted in that post abt logic and it makes me feel like I was heard...!

Just wanna add a bit from my experience.. I had been silent and infrequent reader until july.. I did not know at all about IF that much.. but on july when khushi could not give a proper proof about shyam in front of everyone.. and Arnav was silent .. that day I became member and start posting or giving my POVs to whoever was criticizing that thing .. from then on I know where to support a post with my not so good writing or comments.. but I do also enjoy all the funny and simple posts of other members.. I did not know about any groupism or which to follow.. simply did which I liked.. since then I know who are right or mature enough..

so now as they are openly degrading or daring to point fingers to some of the BEST TMs i support rima in this fully..

and speaking up when time needs ...no matter what other thinks..

So, you have conveniently stereotyped me into the other group( working brain, indeed!)...well done. I can write a similar rude and fitting reply to yours, but guess what? I am not going to. I have just realised how you see things only as black and white.

Yes, I drool over Barun. I also criticise Arnav when he wrongs. I also criticise the cv's when they are wrong. But guess what? I don' t see the need to belong to any group here. I don't care about supporters. I would rather people like/ comment on my posts because they would like to and not just because they are my friend or belong to my group. I am an individual with opinions. I have posted in many of rima's thread in agreement. I have also posted in many other's thread when i agree with them too. It doesn't matter to me, who starts a thread. What it's about decides my participation in it. I don't care about groups or support groups. They only divide the forum as I have clearly seen in the last month. I am here in this forum becoz I love the show.

The other problem with these groups is that I most often don!t know who I am talking to anymore as everyone is talking for each other. I also think it clouds people's judgement as emotions are heavily invested in the group one belongs.

My initial posts in this thread was a reply to rima's main post. I thought she was trying to honestly understand why her petitions are not supported. I was surprised to know that this was supposed to be a counter attack to a post made by another group, which then makes it clash of egos and nothing else.

You guys have completely missed the point I was making. Everyone Is different and may not agree with you all the time. why do you insist they do? Even if a group didn't appreciate the petition thread, why should it affect you? They have their opinions just like you.

Everyone is forgetting that while discussing in such tone( I mean everyone) we hurt real people.

I was dead against it too

when i came to the forum this forum had a set of strong asr supporters and people who blindly supported his actions

i began to talk about khushi and her plights so that people understood the pain of a girl and what is morally wrong even it it is fiction

gradually i gathered a set of like minded people

i am also good friends with that asr group

but when i wage my wars for right and wrong, this group supports me and to me peple wh are with me in my times of need and still tell me when i am wrong are a group worth having

and that is when i started belonging to a group

having said that i really understand that it is quite difficult when there are groups and neutral people get caught in the line of fire

See, I totally get your point: To each his own, right?

Well first of all, to clarify things out, this was by no means a counter-attacking post. Believe me, Harshu, Meher, Maverick, Monu, Swati, we all might be capable of it, but not Rima. Rima makes posts about what she feels pertaining to the current status of the show and status of the Forum.

Ego or not, we don't believe in waging Tu Tu Mein Mein wars or running to Mommy just because our posts have been targeted. We stand up with our stance there and then, in that very post.

Ever thought about WHY Rima made this particular thread? Well, keeping aside the fact that she has been working a hell lot to get this petition through, Rima's efforts were openly challenged in a particular post and that indirectly affected the petition itself. Now that member could have PMed us personally to share her feelings regarding the petition instead of openly voicing distaste for it. But well, she presented her opinion, and Rima presented hers for the sake of people not taking her efforts the wrong way.

And when you talk about groups- I agree. Its the same situation we used to have in high school. BUT, but, but you can not talk about cliques including everyone on the Forum. We have long chit-chats in some particular threads does not mean we don't visit threads of people outside our group which deserve our visits. And even among us friends, there are instances where we disagree with each other, mind you!

So don't take us wrong that way.
