ASR Had a choice? Really?

I made a post yesterday saying

I always knew ASR would come

But what hurt me most was that he was even for a nano second thinking whether or not to marry her

He was delaying his decision

That he was actually choosing

So I got responses such as:

He is in shock

It is his mother who is dead due to her aunt. Naturally he will stop and think

It is unnatural for him to just go and get married to the girl who is related to his mom's almost murderer

He is just taking time

I ask where is the freedom of choice?

Did you all forget this is not the first but the second marriage?

Did you all forget he has already lived with her for 6 months and for the society she is tainted?

Did you all forget that for all we know he has made love to her, which in Indian society leaves her nowhere if she gets pregnant or something?

Did you al forget that he has already ruined one marriage dream for her?

Did you all forget that she has already been ruined in front of the society?

Did you all forget that her entire future is at stake not just because of love but because of her reputation?

No I did not forget

So thos who say why are people getting impatient or why he is being held responsible when he is still under shock-this is the answer

He should not have thought even a nano second whether to marry her

He simply did not have the choice

PS: And someone pointed out I am the big fool who always made posts saying he would not even think about marrying her. He would just rub it off and come and not ruin one more marriage for her. No matter how much I understand ASR's pain, I am unable to comprehend how he can even consider not marrying her.

Yeah tomorrow he will come and marry her

But for today I was very very sad and let down that ASR delayed, let her alone, ruined one more marriage for her

ASR takes months to understand Khushi's pain but he takes just barely seconds to understand Anjali & his parents pain - atleast now after all this unwanted drama he should understand Khushi's POV.

ASR is going through this situation after 14 years !! - Khushi goes through it literally everyday thanks to Dadi, Mami, & sometimes even Buaji.

I just can not feel his pain right now all i can feel his Khushi all the way.

I felt his pain when Dadi confronted him or rather tress passed him. Thats it i didnt care after that because i knew Khushi is going to be targeted again.

My Only Question Is Why Is It That ASR's pain is given more importance & at that point of time Khushi is being made to be humiliated ??

Just like in the forum to uplift one actor the other actor is made to be put down same here to make one look "good" the other is being put down though i always go in the reverse direction & feel more for Khushi.

ASR only know one thing run outside in the SUV & cry out & come back & others should behave normally after he returns - the other party is not supposed to have any venting place only he is allowed to vent ??

but...ok...seriously i think both ASR and anjali have never come to terms with their parents death. a lot of people lose their parents. yeah not everyone gets their mom shooting herself or their dad committing suicide right after, but people lose their parents.

like khushi. who lost her mom and dad in an accident. which despite its over used cliched presence in indian serials is a pretty horrific way to go.

i understand it sucks if your parents pull the plug on their daughter's wedding day.

i really do.

but...ok...seriously both ASR and anjali get to over it. so her first failed, big whoop. she got her 'bhagwaan ji' in shyam didn't she? yeah we all know he is scum of the world, but she still swears by him. imagine, if her first wedding hadn't failed, she would have never found shyam...so technically its a good thing it happened? besides...first weddings get ruined for others too.

like khushi. who was bullied into getting married, was slapped and mentally tortured, left outside in the cold, and figuratively lost not only her parents but EVERY DAMN FAMILY MEMBER AND RELATION ON THE DAY OF HER FIRST WEDDING.

so keeping things in perspective, yes ASR is in shock. but get over it dude. and what should help him get over it is this: KHUSHI DID NOT KILL HIS PARENTS. SHE HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. HE IS NOT MARRYING GARIMA, HE IS MARRYING KHUSHI (sorry for the caps..i know its not good etiquette to use caps online but I need those to stress my point). maybe he can remember how she risked her life to save him...and how much she has sacrificed for him already...maybe that will expedite this decision making process.

so i agree with you completely Rima. i don't know how much time has elapsed in IPK world...but arnav needs to snap out of it pronto.

and while i really felt bad for him, and khushi, i need him to make that decision asap now and come apologize to khushi for making her wait and he dare not act like he is doing a favor to her at all.

ps: i cried through the episode...except when ASR screamed. I'm sorry and i know a lot will disagree with me. But I associated his scream to when he felt betrayed by khushi - not when he finds out she is related to someone who was involved with his dad. you can't chose your relations arnav...look who you have for a jeejaji!

pps: DIDN'T ASR ALWAYS SAY THEY ARE MARRIED ANYWAYS...LIKE WHAT THE?!

You know I thought when ASR learns the truth he would be so shocked that he wouldn't be in the right mind to think about Khushi and the marriage, but the way ASR's mind was weighing both the marriage and past, I was shocked. He remembered everything, every bloody damn thing between them two, and I felt cheated when the flashbacks of 'Hum jaante hai' and 'hume bharosa hai, aap pe aapke pyar par' didn't make him get up then and there and rush to the altar to be with his 'love'. Ulloo gadha donkey idiot stupid fool ASR!

@rima, i mostly silently read your posts because I never have anything to add to it. You make awesome posts gal 😛

rima, khushi is not some unknown girl... she is his wife. how can he desert her like this?? if he is shattered and sad, he can take her along with him to his loneliness and sorrow and to the jerky ride of his emotions... she will happily follow him like a shadow and give him comfort...

Yeah he has messed up her DREAM of a wedding AGAIN!

Last time by misunderstanding her, and this time by judging her based on her relatives!

He was actually trying to DECIDE if he should DUMP her or not!

Made her wait at the alter and everyone knows that he has LEFT her at the alter!

All the guests are gone!!!

Khushi is humiliated and so is her family!

SO to ME, him coming now is a bit too late! He has already broken her trust! He was OK with dumping a girl he is not even sure if he has got pregnant the night before!!

Sorry, but NOW I cant be excited for this wedding OR this marraige! Something is BROKEN inside me now! There is no coming back from this one! This was the LAST straw!

Cmpletely agree with u!! I was really disappointed with ASR's attitude ystrday. I undrstand he was in pain, bt how can u giv pain 2 sum1 evn 4 a minuscule second when u cnsider dat persn da mst imp part of ur lyf??

I was vry hurt with ASR's behaviour!!

I agree with your view.

My view is this ---

I don't want ASR should come because
1.of his promise
2. he has stayed with her for 6 months
3. intimate moments , they had had

He should come because

1. He can not stay without her
2. Her each tear breaks his heart in 1000 pieces every time
3. He loves her so much that his love far more exceeds his hatred for his worst enemy

The only way I can forgive him for not coming immediately is because his cognitive ability has been numbed because of shock. I can pardon him because of this temp. physical disability , when he is in his senses he should immediately come to khushi for above three reasons.

from his pov his whole life came donw into pieces because come wht may his love for his mom cannot be replaced by any one and he is a weak guy . this was the basic stry told to us when show stated tht this made him grey so i feel coming to terms with situation isn't wrong !

NOTE im just posting my pov thru arnav's side lik wise i have my pov from khushis side too but since its an asr bashing day so its just from his side NOt being biased not taking sides !
