Heroes are born at the cost of themselves and not made at the expense of others
Last night ASR and KKG both found out the truth of their past
He was lucky enough to discover behind closed doors in the privacy of his bedroom with only his Dadi coming out with her version of the events and demanding retribution. He was spared public humiliation and dishonor. He chose to internalize alone in a quiet place with only his thoughts memories and pain as his company and disregarded the horrific revelations and consequences awaiting her and her family
KKG came running downstairs to see her beloved waiting and wanted to chide him for keeping her waiting but instead was greeted with one woman execution squad intent on stripping her and her family of honor dignity and respect and with all intents and purposes driving them to mass suicide
( An aside-SIđđđ You made me cry for you as a woman torn I am a very practical person in fact my other sobriquet is FairyLiquidGrinch as I have a reputation for sucking the joy out of emotional viewing pleasure)and me crying over a soap scene is nigh impossible but you have gotten yourself a hat trick This has been your third successful attempt over my tear ducts)
So many posts have come out in defense of ASR his pain his angst his tortured tormented past his need to run and have a breakdown but he could have come to the Mantap not necessarily for marriage but faced the entire family like he did when he broke of his engagement to Lavanya and asked for time to process digest and let go Maybe even ask questions to Garima tried to assure KKG of his intentions but also indicated his haplessness over the events that destroyed the sibling lives'..all the stuff heroes and soul mates are supposed to do
Instead he exited stage left
He went for an emotional SUV spin had a rinse repeat recycle of a breakdown with tears running all the while and clenching his fist and jaw and howling out his pain all in solitude and then'' ( BS although I am angry at ASR I laud your portrayal of emotional frustration at the unfairness of it all)
She too came to know the truth of her mother like you only tonight and has to deal with your father's role in it also
Now tell me who the true hero here is?
The one who stood in the face of adversity and faced her tormentor against all odds reassured her family and herself of her soul mates appearance
OR
The one who ran away and came back when he and the situation calmed down
One can say it's his nature to run and then come back to set things right but in some cases cowardly abandonment is not the solution and instant steps have to be taken even at the cost of ones own serenity
How the story moves on from here is in the hands of the creatives and I am hoping he will say a thing or 2 after all he is the hero but today I salute KKG the embattled warrior along with her majestically noble family of a father whose love went beyond filial blood ties, of a mother whose love went beyond her own personal desires of 2 closely knit step sisters who resolutely stood by a maternal figure not their own mother but she for all purposes was and is always forever and an Aunt who will bind them together and tend to her flock as a good shepherdess does
