Heroes are born at the cost of themselves and not made at the expense of others

Last night ASR and KKG both found out the truth of their past

He was lucky enough to discover behind closed doors in the privacy of his bedroom with only his Dadi coming out with her version of the events and demanding retribution. He was spared public humiliation and dishonor. He chose to internalize alone in a quiet place with only his thoughts memories and pain as his company and disregarded the horrific revelations and consequences awaiting her and her family

KKG came running downstairs to see her beloved waiting and wanted to chide him for keeping her waiting but instead was greeted with one woman execution squad intent on stripping her and her family of honor dignity and respect and with all intents and purposes driving them to mass suicide

Her discovery was a public spectacle a complete humiliation made of her family and their reputation a virtual blood bath with her mother being called a wh**e her sister and she tarred with the same brush in front of hundred of guests and yet she magnificently rose to the occasion when accusatory fingers were pointed at by the same Dadi and chose to defend her mother her belief in the values she had inculcated in her without a single thought to her own inner turmoil and state She was in shock unable to grasp the enormity yet felt every emotional anguish her mother was feeling and chose to set her own feelings aside for the moment
Once she saw the Dadi's intent of dousing the sacred fire she rose up with her own feelings now coming to the fore and refused to budge from the Holy Fire or believe he would not turn up Her trust love and faith in him was so immense that the thought of him jilting her at the mantap did not register at all till the time ticked on and hours passed the fire doused out and realization dawns on her that he really has deserted her and with that she has her breakdown and moving from complete belief to disbelief of loss of him and her dreams

( An aside-SI👏👏👏 You made me cry for you as a woman torn I am a very practical person in fact my other sobriquet is FairyLiquidGrinch as I have a reputation for sucking the joy out of emotional viewing pleasure)and me crying over a soap scene is nigh impossible but you have gotten yourself a hat trick This has been your third successful attempt over my tear ducts)

So many posts have come out in defense of ASR his pain his angst his tortured tormented past his need to run and have a breakdown but he could have come to the Mantap not necessarily for marriage but faced the entire family like he did when he broke of his engagement to Lavanya and asked for time to process digest and let go Maybe even ask questions to Garima tried to assure KKG of his intentions but also indicated his haplessness over the events that destroyed the sibling lives'..all the stuff heroes and soul mates are supposed to do

Instead he exited stage left

He went for an emotional SUV spin had a rinse repeat recycle of a breakdown with tears running all the while and clenching his fist and jaw and howling out his pain all in solitude and then'' ( BS although I am angry at ASR I laud your portrayal of emotional frustration at the unfairness of it all)

I am sure he will have his light bulb moment realize he has left her at the mantap and come back after his so called soul mate and her family has been dragged through the burning coals publicly declared as having low morals characterless and tramps and declare she is my wife but to me it would be a hollow one as you left her alone to deal with the demons of the past when she needed you the most

She too came to know the truth of her mother like you only tonight and has to deal with your father's role in it also

Now tell me who the true hero here is?

The one who stood in the face of adversity and faced her tormentor against all odds reassured her family and herself of her soul mates appearance

OR

The one who ran away and came back when he and the situation calmed down

One can say it's his nature to run and then come back to set things right but in some cases cowardly abandonment is not the solution and instant steps have to be taken even at the cost of ones own serenity

She had guts gumption and chutzpah to take on the family matriarch at the restraint of herself but knowing in the back of her mind she has everything to lose (she has given herself mind body and soul to ASR in complete faith and trust which will shatter her later) and nothing to gain except the dignity of her mother and the unshaken hope that he will not forsake her and that to me is when a hero is born

How the story moves on from here is in the hands of the creatives and I am hoping he will say a thing or 2 after all he is the hero but today I salute KKG the embattled warrior along with her majestically noble family of a father whose love went beyond filial blood ties, of a mother whose love went beyond her own personal desires of 2 closely knit step sisters who resolutely stood by a maternal figure not their own mother but she for all purposes was and is always forever and an Aunt who will bind them together and tend to her flock as a good shepherdess does

Guptas you have shown tonight what is true class and the real meaning of unconditional love Take a bow👏

Swathi,
If Kushi is the Hero today, you are my hero today for this post. First Tia's post and now yours. I am glad there are so many sensible women who see beyong the facade of looks and understand the emotional side of actions, reactions and recognize character where it should be seen. My heart swells with pride to be having you in my buddy list. because I feel intelligent reading your views and other like minded peoples views.
Like ASR, I will rinse and repeat what I posted in other places, with some slight additions.
First let me start with ASR. Mind you. I did not watch the show, but read the updates.
What Pain Dammit. What Pain.
Why is ASR in Pain. For what reason is his pain becoming the center stage. Is it the first time he came to know his mom committed suicide. Is it the first time he came to know, his father cheated on his mother. Is it the first time he came to know there is a doosri aurat in his mothers life. What is that he is hearing for the first time??
That the other woman is Garima. Why does that cause him pain. Why? What in the blinking world should he be crying for. That Kushi is Garimas daughter. How does that pain him. Because he is in love with a woman whose mother is the other woman in his dead moms life. Why does that cause pain.
A photo is proof for this character that Garima is the other woman. So any photo his dad had with another woman, means he was sleeping with them too. He believes Dadis words that this is proof.
Sorry, but today, ASR is equivalent to Anjali. Neither do they have a horrible past, nor do they have a angst ridden dark past. CVs have made sure, all that they have been hinting at, the dark dark past, is a joke.
I hate that, a person who is that sensitive to his moms suffering, would ever put another woman, mother, through the same sufferings without finding out the truth. if he truly loved his mom, he would never do anything that would potentially drive another sould to the brink of equal despair that they want to commit suicide.
No. For him and Anjali, their normal past is a ticket to excuse away all their horrendous acts or become the center of attention.
Pathetic protrayals CVs have turned these two into.
Angst and pain and gut wrenching wails for something that happened 14 years ago, but no pain, remorse or repent for what these two are inflicting on another human and a woman at that.
It is a shame and I am glad, ASR has a dad, mom, di and dadi like the ones he has. because that is all they deserve. Each other.
Like you said, her humilation is always in public. He begging for forgiveness is also always public. Her ending up in the wrong place at the fashion show, was arranged to be made even more public. The single sorry she got was a like a kid who is forced to say sorry to another kid by his parents. In private.
His Angst to me has no meaning. It is rooted in a past which dulls over time. Her angst is constant questioning her very existence and is always current and in the now. Yet he recoils. She raises like a Phoenix. Maybe this is why people find it easy to blame the woman, because she refuses to fall down and lay down. She always raises. Whether her tormentors are lecherous Shyam, unforgiving ASR, accusatory in laws and the vile disgusting woman called Dadi. Even when her own Mom and Aunt physically baused her and slapped her, she still rose and protected everyone she loves. Whether it be ASR, or her mother, or Anjali. She even supported Anjali and understood her pain and foolishly tried to help her.
If he deserves the family he got, she definitely does not deserve anything she is getting.
For now Swathi, your are my hero for making this post.

agree. with every single word .

I felt let down by the character when he walked out even after the first wedding, leaving her to face the family.

And i felt let down today - yes, it was a BIG thing, and yes, it's NOT easy to forget. But you can't keep running away. She has more strength than him, anyday.

This is all too much to take in.. I am reeling under shock and am numb will get back in a short while 😆 In short I am saying Res

I fully agree Swathi and you have managed to say exactly how some of us have been thinking.. 👏

Here's the thing..

He slandered and punished a girl for no crime of hers.. I am referring to their first marriage.. he has no bloody rights to say he is numb on hearing the truth... he has already ruined the life of the girl whom he claimed he loved always... this news may have come as a shocker to him but he has also a responsibility to honour Khushi ... People have heard worse news yet, have gone about doing their duties so, please spare me the numb act..I Thank God ASR is not working in the essential services or as a pilot... he would have frozen at a moment when action is needed 🤣 If the terrace scene did not numb him why is this piece of news so numbing? Khushi's reputation has now gone for a toss by his unthoughtful and callous acts... No gentleman or hero would not think of leaving his wife at the alter... on this occasion he owed it to her...

ASR has always been chanting that Khushi was his wife with or without Pheras.. so what is he thinking about? She is already the DIL of the house and his wife... is he now going to come out with the truth about the 6 month contract marriage and call for a divorce?

Khushi did not know of her mother's past.. All along ASR knew there was another woman in the picture but did not know who it was .. so it was not as if this news came as a surprise to him.. he is now able to put a face to the picture 😃 14 years may be insufficient to heal the pain at least it would have dulled the pain.. Here's a man who is at the helm of a business empire.. In his life he has seen many ups and downs and worse situations like the death of his selfish parents... As a man of the house, he should be able to pick up the pieces and try to find out the truth and not hide in a garden..

ASR has learnt many a lesson to know by now that he should not react hastily without proper analysis or evidence.. This photo could have been morphed and once again he has acted without proof... ASR's behaviour is very predictable..

This man is hopeless and helpless... That's my conclusion

Khushi is a Born Warrior, A True Hero !!! An Inspiration though Fiction can as well Inspire Woman Everywhere. A Hero forgotten by the CVs that they had created ...
I am Proud of my LoGo today WOMEN ROCK !!!!

I have nothing to say about Arnav, even if he comes back to her.
As much as his mother has his loyalty, Khushi had every right to have his Loyalty.

Can i give you a standing ovation for this
your post reminds me of the poem 'if' by rudyard kipling where he says
IF...

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! And today Khushi proved she is a man...a hero

Wonderful post, FLSji.
I agree with every single word.

Let me explain why.

I started watching this show because I fell in love with Khushi Kumari Gupta's character. To me, she was the hero to begin with.
She was a hero in the first episode, where she single-handedly set out to save her sister's marriage.
She was a hero when she decided to get a job and help her family.
She was a hero when she decided to fulfil that office contract with ASR.
She was a hero when she threw that resignation letter in his face.
She was a hero when she tried to pay her father's hospital bills.
She was a hero when she decided to save her husband from a den of kidnappers.
She was a hero when she decided to expose the truth about Shyam.

In between these instances, somehow her character was diluted with stupid instances of illogical sacrifice, and the SP bahu syndrome.
But still, she has always been one to face every situation head-on, never running away to England or driving off in a SUV to escape conflicts.

So in my opinion, we should say, A hero was reborn.

KKG is back!!
