Sorry I took so long to post scenario three.
At Arjun's house:
DK is on an international phone call to Canada. One of his companies is facing a major crisis. An employee of the company is explaining the situation to him. Arjun walks in and sees his father worried. DK comes of the phone and looks at his son.
"Dad, what's wrong? You seem upset." Arjun wants to know what's happening.
DK fills him in about the situation. "Son, the workers in one of the Canadian companies are striking. There's a new manager and he ill threats the workers. I'm needed there but I cannot go. As you know I'm leaving for Australia this afternoon."
"Dad, you don't worry, I'll go to Canada and sort things out. You go to Australia and seal the deal."
"Arjun take Ovi along with you. It'll be a nice change for her. And the both of you can spend some time together."
"Dad! Don't even go there. Don't push this ok. I cannot get over Purvi so easily. Sometimes I wish mom was here. She'd understand me. I feel like no one understands me."
DK looks at his son and shakes his head. He puts his hand on Arjun's shoulder. "Son I do understand but the circumstances are such that we just have to make the most of it. By choosing to marry Ovi you have taken her responsibility. And we cannot ignore this fact. You and Purvi took this decision together and did not consult with the elders. What's done cannot be undone."
Arjun sighs and gives up. "Fine, I accept my mistake. But I'm not taking Ovi along with me. I'll just go and sort out this mess and be back as soon as I can. Please tell Ovi that something urgent came up and I had to leave." He walks out leaving DK staring after him.
"Aashana, please give our son the strength he needs to handle whatever life throws at him."
At D house:
DK has come to speak to Manav about the situation in the company. Manav gets worried and wants to accompany Arjun on this trip but he is assured by DK that Arjun is capable enough to handle the situation. DK asks for Ovi and is told that she is out shopping with her sisters. He says it feels good to see Ovi and Purvi bonding and getting along. He asks Manav to let Ovi stay over for a few days since both he and Arjun will be out of the country. Manav agrees, saying that this is a good chance for his daughters to spend some time with their mother.
Arjun is at the airport. He is trying to call Purvi but she's not taking his calls. He is getting frustrated. He wants to hear her voice before he leaves. He calls her again and again. On his last attempt he decides to leave a voicemail for her. "Purvi. Purvi why aren't you taking my calls? I'm leaving for Canada in a few minutes. I'm going there on business. Purvi, why are you pushing me away like this? I cannot live without you. These few weeks have been hell for me. Only I know how I'm dealing with this pain. I love you. Do you hear me Purvi? I said I love you! When I get back I'll set everything right. That's a promise." He stares at his phone and is almost tempted to stay back but he has to go.
He goes to check in. his flight is called and he boards the plane. It is a long flight to Canada so decides to do some work. He takes out his laptop but there's a picture of Purvi as his background. He stares at it for a while and then closes the laptop. He closes his eyes and relives all of their happy moments. He remembers how they had hated each other in the beginning and then gradually they fell in love. "Purvi, you are mine alone. I only love you and we will be together." He is lost in his thoughts and falls asleep. He dreams only of his beloved Purvi.
In Canada:
Arjun's flight has arrived into Canada. He is picked up by his driver and asks to be taken directly to the office. When he arrives he goes directly to the new manager's office. He acts like an employee. The manager does not know that he is DK's son and behaves rudely with him. Arjun smiles to himself and thinks that he will be back in India soon since he has found out why the workers are striking. He fires the manager on the spot and meets the employees. They are grateful to him and sing his praises. He hires one of his father's most trusted worker as the new manager. Things fall into place.
At the hotel:
He decides that he'll leave for India first thing in the morning. He tries calling Purvi again but she does not answer. He goes down to the restaurant to have dinner. He is finishing his dinner when he hears a commotion behind him. He turns around a sees a man in a drunken stupor. He tries to ignore him and leaves but he stops short when he hears the man call out a name. "Ovi"
Arjun is thinking that it must be some other Ovi but he is not sure. He goes to the man and realizes that it's Romil, someone Ovi used to work with. He is shocked to see him in this state. The guards are coming to throw Romil out but Arjun quickly takes him outside and makes him sit.
Romil is not in his senses and he is clutching a picture of Ovi. "Ovi, why did you leave? Don't you know that I'm in love with you?" Romil speaks to himself and Arjun is shocked by what he's hearing.
"Romil is in love with Ovi?" Arjun is puzzled. He tries to get Romil to talk. He does not recognize Arjun and continues with his ranting.
"Ovi how could you get married? Don't you know that I've been waiting for you? I love you more than my life." Romil breaks and starts crying uncontrollably. Arjun is trying to comfort him but he gets pushed in the process. "Who are you to help me? No one understands my grief. Have you ever been in love? Do you know how it feels to lose the one person whom you've given your heart to?"
Every word that Romil speaks is like a slap to Arjun's face. "Of course I know. Believe me I know." Arjun thinks about his beloved Purvi. He consoles Romil. They have long conversation. Arjun leaves with a smile on his face and Romil is left in tears.
Meanwhile, back at Manav's house:
Purvi has now moved in with her aai and her family. She is trying to be strong but she fails. Her heart is broken and she is longing for Arjun but she knows that she'll never have him because he's married to her sister. She knows that Arjun is in Canada. She continuously listens to the voicemail that he has left for her. His voice is like a balm to her soul. She prays that God will give her the strength to forget about her love and that she should move on in life.
Ovi is excited and anxious. Everyone wants to know what brought on this behaviour. "My Arjun is returning home today. I've missed him"
Purvi secretly smiles when she hears this news.
Preparations are made to welcome Arjun. Ovi feels that now she has yet another chance to win his love. Arjun calls and asks that everyone come to his house as he has a surprise for them. Purvi is hesitant but is eventually persuaded to go.
The entire D clan arrive at Arjun's house. Ovi is glowing and runs to meet her husband. She hugs him but he does not hug her back. His eyes are searching for his reason for living. He sees Purvi standing very close to the door. He wants to go to her and take her in his arms but he reminds himself to be patient. Ovi is all smiles and can't take her eyes of her husband.
Manav asks Arjun how things were back in Canada. AK tells him. Ovi is unable to contain herself and wants to know what surprise Arjun has for them. He in turn looks at Purvi and smiles. He is thinking, "soon my love. Soon. I promised you that we'll be together. Let me see who separates us now."
"Arjun, what kind of question is this? Of course I love you"
"Do you understand what love is?"
Everyone is quite. Purvi gets uncomfortable and wants to leave, but Teju does not allow her to.
"Ovi, are you happy in this marriage? Everyone here knows that I am not. I only love Purvi. I can never love you."
"Please Archana aunty, be patient for a little while longer." He looks at Purvi and smiles. "Purvi, please don't leave what I have to say will also affect you." She looks at him but says nothing. She sees Ovi crying and goes over to her.
"Ovi please don't cry. I will make him understand."
"Purvi, even you will not say a word today! All of you will have to listen!" Arjun shouts. He goes over to Ovi. "Answer me Ovi; are you happy with this marriage?"
"Arjun''''''.Arjun'''''."
"Ovi answer me! Are you happy with the fact that you've gotten married to me and yet still I am far from you? Are you able to hear me say that I love Purvi every single day and that I can't live without her? Are you happy knowing that I will never allow this marriage to be consummated?" Arjun questions.
Ovi is standing there crying and Purvi is trying to console her. She is unable to answer Arjun's questions. Arjun looks like a man on a mission and is very serious. He continues to shout at Ovi when someone yells his name. There standing at the door is a very livid Romil. Arjun looks at him and asks him what he's doing here.
Romil walks over to Ovi and looks at her. She is shocked to see her old friend and smiles through her tears. Archana and Purvi are confused since they don't know who Romil is. Manav explains it to them.
"Surprise!!!!" Romil shouts and then tells Ovi he is the surprise that Arjun was speaking about. He walks up to Arjun and yells, "How dare you take that tone with Ovi?" He grabs Arjun by the collar and is about to slap him when Ovi intervenes. "Romil, Arjun is my husband!"
"He's your husband????? This man is your husband? Does a husband threat a wife like this in the presence of her family?"
"Rom, sweetie it's complicated" Ovi's voice is barely a whisper. She falls back into her model persona and starts speaking like the models do. "I will explain it to you as soon as I have the time. But darling, what have you done to yourself? You look horrible!" Ovi looks at him. This is not the same bubbly person she knew in Canada. He has lost weight and he seems to have aged badly. His face is unshaven and his hair is longer.
"Jeez, thanks doll. You sure do know how to make a fella blush."
Ovi smiles and gives him a huge hug. Arjun clears his throat, "Ahem, Romil what are you doing here?"
Romil looks at him and smiles. "Arjun, I'm here for Ovi."
All are shocked and Ovi wants to know what Romil means.
"Yes Ovi, I'm here for you. You see after you left I realized what you meant to me. Ovi I'm in love with love. You are the reason I wake up every morning. I have been in love with you ever since i met you. Your smile lights up my world."
"Rom, what are you saying? You know I'm married. I love Arjun."
All are speechless and looks at Ovi and Romil.
"I know you love Arjun but does he love you? Ovi I cannot keep my feelings bottled up anymore. You deserve someone better than Arjun. He ill threats you and did it i hear it correctly just now? Is he in love with someone else? Ovi, baby, I give you all the happiness that you deserve. Isn't it better to be with someone who loves you than with someone who will not see your face and reminds you every day that he is in love with someone else??" Romil voice breaks and he stares at Ovi.
Arjun breaks the silence, "Ovi the decision is yours. This marriage is worthless and nothing can come out from it. Don't expect anything from me because I love and will always love Purvi. No one can change this fact. If you stay married to me then you are running the lives of not only me and Purvi but also yours and Romil's."
Manav and Archana want to have a talk with Ovi in private. They leave the room and Arjun goes over to Purvi. "Didn't I promise you my love?"
Purvi looks at him and smiles. "How can you be so sure? What if Ovi refuses to accept Romil?"
Ovi comes back outside and asks to speak to Arjun and Romil. They go inside the bedroom. They stay for a very long while and Purvi gets nervous. Archu smiles at her and tells her that everything will be alright. Arjun comes outside followed by Romil and Ovi. They are holding hands. "Aai, baba, after listening to what the both of you had to say I've decided to accept Romil. He loves me truly and Arjun loves Purvi. I cannot be so selfish to ruin her life especially after all she's done for me. And who knows maybe in time i might come to love Romil."
Archu is in tears and hugs her daughters. She takes Arjun's hand and puts it with Purvi's and she does the same with Romil and Ovi. Both jodis take the blessings of the parents. Arjun is excited and wants to inform his dad at the earliest. Romil and Arjun then tell how they meet up in Canada and formulated this plan.
Arvi gets reunited without Purvi getting Pregnant.
