Mid-Day sure has a strange way of wishing Nagarjuna happy birthday. They go down memory lane and choose to shine light upon those South stars that flopped in Bollywood. 😆😆

Nagarjuna: He featured in a number of Bollywood films from the 90's to the early 2000's, but apart from 'Khuda Gawah', in which Amitabh Bachchan and Srivedi played the main lead, hardly any of his films did well
Rajinikanth: The 'God' of South Indian cinema, tasted success with 'Chaalbaaz' and 'Hum'. In both of these films though he played the supporting cast. In fact, he mostly featured in supporting roles in Bollywood, in stark contrast to his image down south
Chiranjeevi: Although 'Pratibandh' did reasonably well, the super star shifted focus back to Telugu films after 'The Gentleman' opposite Juhi Chawla failed
Ramya: Remember the female who grooved to 'Nayak Nahi Khalnayak Hain Tu' in the Sanjay Dutt-starrer 'Khalnayak'? Ramya acted in a handful of Hindi films in the 90's, and also did a negative role in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Chaahat'. Nothing worked for her
Venkatesh: A lot was expected of 'Anari' in which Venkatesh was paired opposite Karisma Kapoor. In spite of a convincing performance from the Telugu superstar, the film did not do well. 'Taqdeerwala' was nothing short of an embarrassment and another South star's Bollywood career had failed to take off
Mohanlal: One of the finest actors of Indian cinema, Mohanlal has only done bit roles in Bollywood films like 'Company', 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag', and more recently 'Tezz'
Revathy: She was appreciated in 'Love' with Salman Khan, but the film didn't do well at the box-office. Subsequently, she also starred in 'Raat', 'Muskurahat' and a few other flicks, none of which clicked. She continues making cameo appearances, and also directed the critically acclaimed 'Phir Milenge'
Ajith: The Tamil star was given a grand entry into Bollywood with the epic historical drama 'Asoka'. Sadly, the film was thrashed by critics and audiences alike
Vikram: He made his foray into Hindi films with Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan' in 2010, which was a major disaster. He will next be seen in 'David', which is set to release in 2012
Rambha: She got a number of opportunities to prove her mettle in Bollywood, but apart from 'Judwaa', in which she featured opposite Salman Khan, Rambha failed to make an impression
