Spice Girls Hangout:What romance?

Sari I agree. Today was good at many levels but once again pretty disconnected from yesterday's. Yesterday they flirted openly well kinda today the door door ka pyaar from January February re-emerged.. This entire Godh Bharai cum Mehndi rasam is not fun to watch. Can Arnav and Khushi have their moments please? Anjali Di once again is the show stopper of it all...😕

I have to admit I had my doubts about this episode believing too much focus would be on the godh bharai but I was wrong. CVs deserve credit for managing to balance multiple tracks at once, there was plenty going on today but with decent execution the episode worked despite the annoying slow motion shots

I'm now even more convinced CVs read this forum for much of what we talk about is written into the show. I was happy to see the security issue addressed, though Shyam is still sneaking around at least Arnav realizes something is not right and is taking precautions to protect his family. Unfortunately he has no idea Shyam has already made his move.

The scene with Garima and Bua was beautifully done and cleared any doubts about whether Garima was Payal's biological mother or not. Garima did not give birth to either of her daughters but not once did she let them feel the loss of a mother's love, she's been there for them and will continue to do so which is why she faced her fears and attempted to come face to face with Dadi but DM has other plans..

Khushi arrives at RM looking for her prince, Arnav senses her presence and is just mesmerized by his wife who looks gorgeous. NK is left wondering just how Arnav knew Khushi arrived but Khushi answers for him, he just knows. The tease that followed was cute

The bromance scene was a winner for me especially since it finally included Akash!! NK wants to watch a horror film but obviously Akash and Arnav have other ideas in mind. While I found the phone call to be adorable especially with Khushi getting a chance to pull Arnav's leg as he has done to her, one would think he wouldn't waste a call when he could've gone downstairs and sneaked Khushi away like the many times he's done in the past. He could've done so even after the call, maybe that was his intention when coming downstairs who knows?

Bua and NK's phone conversation was hilarious! It was one of the highlights for me, it added some humor without looking forced or being distasteful like the ones attempted with Manorama's character in the past. NK and Bua are a jodi of a different kind and I love their scenes!

So the godh bharai gets underway and though thankfully short, one could not help but be distracted by Anjali who was way too overdressed. What was the need to have her look like a bride?? Her look earlier in the episode was beautiful, she looked great and then GB gets underway and it was too OTT.

Looks like ASR is back and ready for another face off with Dadi who uses those gossiping women as ammunition to fill a nave Nani's mind but ASR will have none of it. It looks like it was intentional by the CVs to not have the Guptas know beforehand about Shyam, now that Garima does how will it impact her decision?? She can't run forever but to protect her daughters she would do anything, earlier it was begging and now???

I'm usually a silent reader on this thread, and love all the POVs tha Spice Girls share.

Time was, me, the absolute poker-faced bookworm, used to look forward to the episodes, go crazy to watch them when they were aired. Now, I'm happy if I catch a rerun on TV.

Is it because the threads of Anjali-Shyam, Garima-Dadi are messing up the Arshi marriage experience?

Is it because we saw months of well-portrayed hate, and to build the contrast we need at least a few weeks of well-portrayed love? The chemistry we saw earlier was a promise, shouldn't they be heightening it now, and building towards a crescendo?

Does a couple in love act the way Arshi did in this epi-- isn't a little more boldness expected from ASR? Why aren't the romance sequences drawn out and finished the way the hate sequences were earlier?

To me IPKKND is a mixture of romance, drama and humor-- are we now getting a sprinkling of romance, and loads of hammy drama and slapstick farce?

Hello Sari and SG's!

Not much happened today but a feel good festive atmosphere brought back some of the old IPK charm; everyone looked wonderful; nice bright colors and RM, the Raizadas and Guptas all looked like they were getting ready for the wedding festivities. Khushi looked gorgeous; loved the lehenga choli, the jewelry, hair all looked very nice👍🏼. Arnav's indowestern outfit is actually quite in these days; the recent Lakme Fashion Week had an entire fashion show with men wearing similar outfits, though I did not like it much 😆 plus I'm finding it difficult to get over the untidy hair and beard now😡

NK was in great form as usual; from his detective giri, to his holding Arnav's hand and taking him up, to the bromance with Arnav-Akash to finally the vintage interaction with Buaji; his presence is like a breath of fresh air.

Loved how Khushi's eyes immediately look for Arnav, the return of the hawa ka jhoka and the RV, the eyelock, the smiles, the silent playful teasing. Khushi's "bas pata chal jata hai" in response to NK's question shows how openly ARHI have begun acknowledging their relationship and feelings in public❤️. The small phone conversation was nice too and it led to the hilarious bromance followed by NK-Buaji🤣. The bromance rocked today; Arnav-NK-Akash were all in top form👏👏!

Anjali looked way too made up today; the outfit and make-up were both overdone and the Raizadas need to make new friends. Where do they find these uncouth guests from that end up ruining the all the functions with their crude words👎🏼. Dadi takes advantage of the situation to play her cards to bring damadji back and Nani seems to be giving in to pressure. I'm glad ASR finally heard that Dadi's intentions have not changed, quits the games and speaks his mind. Finally ASR taking over; much awaited and loved it. The precap looks interesting because I am keen on seeing what Garima's reaction to this side of the Dadi-ASR confrontation is. Now if only they had wasted less time in the Garima-Dadi catch me if you can and gotten down to some ARHI moments by the poolside I would have been a happy camper.

Another good epi. Balanced, with good use of every characters potential. Looks like whatever changes they've been making with the team, is working in their favour.

We start off from Mario clipping some wires of his Kart and then sneaking into RM where NK the puppy sniffs out a fishy looking wire. Tells Nannav who begins to pull and pull and pull like he's unravelling a ball of wool. Till Mario realises his camera is going to be discovered and rushes up the ladder to snip at the wires.

And on the other hand Chotte is still pulling and we hope that he discovers the spy cam because when Chotte finds out he's being spied on. Shits going down. And Man! Do we love it when Chotte huffs and puffs and brings the house down!

But unfortunately. Dhaiyya Ho wins this round. Lekin kab tak. Tu bach ke jayega kaha??? Chotte is on your trail. Not long before he pulls you out from your hidey.

Next Amma and Buaji have a heart to heart convo and Amma decides to confront Stoppy.

About time Amma! Lets get this over with. We've had it with this multiple hide and seeks. Where everyone hides but no one seeks.

So she needs to apologise to Stoppy.. Oooh. Kya aag laga kar ayi hoon Amma??? that you need to apologise to the woman that needs to apologise to the whole world.

Back at RM and Mario is snipping more wires.Honestly Shyam, do you even know why your snipping these wires or are you just snipping at anything because Rani Sahiba gave you permission to play with pliers because she doesn't need them any more to self abort the baby?

Mario skips off and Chotte realises there is a rogue worker on the loose and goes to find him in Di's room. Shyam kicks a box under Di's bed and escapes. What in the dabba? Is it a key? Soap? More facial hair?

Anyway Di comes out clutching her tummy like the baby's going to fall off. And Chotte realises he needs to tighten the security.Kya baat hai Chotte! Using your rich business tycoon Haridwar grown dimaag eh?

Next, KHUSHI's Mehndi night (not Di's godhbarai). And the Gupta ladies turn up in their best kapre. All three ladies look hawt or what? Actually so do the Raizada ladies. Not the Jha or Malik.

And Mami. Beyootiful..

And Chotti's looks amezing.Yeh the blouse is more revealing than the SR wala blouse that she was hiding behind the wardrobe but do I care? And no i'm not looking for logic. Nope.

Next Chotti searches for Chotte and turns on her Skype radar. "Chotte Kahan hai aap?" But Chotte is busy being harassed by NK, who's holding his hand and pulling him up the stairs when suddenly the hawa blows.

The Rabba Ve wind and the tinkle and Chotte and Chotti sense each other, and OMG, We haven't had a RV wind in like years! Excuse my emoshuns. They're too much to handle.

And Chotte turns toward her and the grin. And whattay turn that was.

And Chotti gets happy and smiles. Heehheehee.. and they stare and stare and stare and check each other out. Like there's no one around them and NK isn't watching away. Whens the last time we got a staring RV? I don't remember? And they keep on staring at each other. And we keep on staring at them. Till NK asks how did Chotte know Chotti was there? The same way you know when Buaji sets foot in the house NK. Waise hi.

Khushi hears from a mile away and answers "Pata chal jata hai"

and more staring and smiling. Awww. Stop it you two! My heart can't take it when you guys make goo goo eyes at each other..

Chotte then feels like playing "Simon Says." And Chotte says touch your ears, nose and cheek and chotti does that. Till NK drags Arnav away and Khushi is still standing wondering if she still has aloo puri from breakfast on her face. Of course Payal jiji to the rescue and tell her she looks good.

Next Amma playing hide and seek with Dadi only the roles are reversed and Dadi is hiding unknowingly and Amma is seeking. But of course they aren't going to meet that soon are they? We have a shaadi to finish first.

Next the three idiots. NK plans a party where they are going to watch a movie. Why couldn't he have picked Harry Potter? Goes with his character lol.

Chotte arrives dressed up, in Jodhpurs? What the! Yeh kya hai???But after many viewings of the episode I have concluded that he rocks those breeches. So what if it the hair don't go with the dress. I forgive you. This is ASR the man who owns AR designs. So he should look the part right? Somebody find him a ghora!

Next Chotte calls Chotti and says "Tumhare chehre pe abhi bhi kuch hai"

and some more flirting Chotte style till Khushi hands over the phone to Buaji. Oh Why!!!! Khushi Why!!! Kyun! You should have continued having cheesy cutsy convo's. Uff ho! You need lessons babe.

Chotte passes the phone to NK. Stop there! Chotte said "Dude phone" oh he said Dude in his ASR voice..Let me phangurl for about 10 seconds... Chalo hogaya. I'm back.

Whattay funny convo between Buaji and NK. How can a shaadi be complete without these two. Brilliant!

Moving on to the godh barai.Yawn.

Ok it isn't Yawnworthy. But I have no sympathy for Di the deceiver who's going to tukde tukde the papad.

And she's still holding the baby like its going to fall off. Tchah.

And we have some gossipy ladies. Whose Mummys never taught them to gossip aloud about the people whose house they are sitting in. Where is Chotte when you need him to shut these hags up? And why would damaadji be in a ladies function anyway?

And Dadi tells nani that they need to bring the criminal back home just to shut these peeps up. Eh No Stoppy! Stop there. And leave with that society because we do not want the dude in Chottes house who kidnapped Chotte and made our poor Chotti cry and cry and cry. N.O!

And chotte to the rescue. Shuts up Dadi. Phew. "Dadi woh aadmi iss ghar mai kabhi wapas nahi aayega!" Too right you are! Send him and his wife to an Ashram.

Days like this I wish I were a guy and Sanaya was single #girlcrushmoment

Anyways...Not doing an analysis, just two very important points:

1. Lost and found alert: Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, Gwen Steffani called, she wants her pants back STAT!
Where it all started, than it was ASR's dream and now it is reality rather dream come true. The outfit, hair, makeup, attitude - the whole package is screaming an open invitation. If this does not evoke a physical reaction from ASR, than he bats for the other team. Bas. AND I have proofs, aik nahi, dau nahi, teen:

a. NK's line: 'tamacha karain gaaayyy'. Aakash reiterated: 'tamacha nahi tamasha karain gaaayyy'
b. ASR's outfit - 'nuff said.
c. Visual proof.

P.S. I liked the decorations in RM, looked very festive. Other than ASR everyone looked pretty decent. The guy is way too skinny waist down. Harem pants/Jodhpuris are not designed for chicken legs, made him look shorter and the whole body a bit disproportionate. Styling 101 - to give the illusion of volume, the garment has to be uniformly fitted. Hence the patiala shalwar from Heer Ranjha was the best for him. Harem pants are fuller on the top and very narrow at the bottom, not suitable for barely there thighs and calves.That brocade mini-kimono-turned-bandh-gala and the color scheme did not do the man any favors either. Runway does not mean Ready-to-Wear. Stylists for both characters are suffering from multiple personality disorders. Khushi goes from overflowing tents to barely there cholis and that too at a public event. I guess file everything under 'stylist idiocy' err liberty? Why is it a hit and a miss? Can't both leads be equally well dressed for a change? Chalo, who cares! *goes back to drooling over SI*

Case-in-point: James McAvoy is a hottie but doesn't mean I like this look 😆

Nice post as usual, Sari. Do I detect some frustration at the pace though ?😊

Decent epi – nothing earth shattering but seems to be just the start of the godh bharai/mehendi and the vehicle to an Arnav and Dadi power play with Nani and Garima as the side characters. Hopefully, we will see a Shyam showdown between Dadi and Arnav – though Dadi doesn't look like the kind of personality to change her mind, not without any 'apni aankhon ke saamne' evidence of Shyam's wrongdoing – doesn't it remind us all of a certain someone who has undergone a radical change after admitting his feelings for Khushi!

What I liked :

- Khushi looked absolutely stunning and the pati sure thought so

- Interaction between Buaji and Garima where she appreciates Garima for brightening up her brother's life and for being an amazing mother to two motherless girls.

- Garima's determination to do the right thing and face up to Dadi for her girls

- Khushi's eyes restlessly searching for the pati the moment she enters Shantivan. The comeback of the RV breeze as the lovers see each other. Arnav looks completely bowled over by her and then resorts to some silent flirting with the bewildered biwi and finally walks off mightily satisfied at having ruffled her feathers – the entire scene played out with NK as the interested albeit puzzled spectator. Also, liked how they acknowledged being able to sense the other's presence to each other.

- Khushi and Arnav phone call – Bitwa is turning out to be quite a tease and seems to quite enjoy flustering his wife in more ways than one. Also, loved how he's taken her Bollywood expectation of romance pointers to heart and teases her about hanging up without the requisite 'pehle app' exchanges.

- The whole Akash, NK and Arnav congregation. Arnav is finally starting to tease NK – was wondering if they'll ever show Arnav and NK bonding for stuff that doesn't involve Khushi. NK has always come through for Nannav – be it during the kidnapping or when he felt that Nannav needed help with Khushiji. Liked how Arnav busys himself with a magazine, subtly interacts with Akash to bring him in on the prank, waits for the NK- Buaji conversation to play out and has a big grin at the end of it even though he doesn't look up from his magazine.

- ASR finally using his shatir dimaag and tightening security at Shantivan. Hopefully he starts putting all the little clues together soon before Shyam in his usual ham-handed way manages to hurt someone (usually the wrong person)

- NK rocked all his scenes – he seems to be improving his acting chops in general

- Shyam escaping detection while inside Shantivan and under the collective noses of people who know him rather intimately even with that ridiculous disguise of a moustache and Garima escaping Dadi's notice through a set of strategically placed people and situations are both vintage IPK scenarios. I've put them in the 'what I liked' section since they remind us of good old times in IPK when we didn't allow ourselves to get overly excited at the prospect of Shyam's discovery since we figured out his role was to be the ultimate survivor after the umpteen wriggling out of a sticky situation and were comforted by the knowledge that all his nefarious schemes always failed and resulted in bringing Arnav and Khushi closer. Both Shyam and Garima lukachupi scenarios still have a lot of mileage on them – I conclude.

- Shantivan seemed to have more of a wedding atmosphere today than on the day of the roka

Points to ponder :

- How come none of the Raizada women (not counting Dadi who has other intentions, plus is not a Raizada to boot) anticipated Godh Bharai guests asking after Damadji. I have absolutely zilch knowledge about any of these traditions but I'd like to think that even I would be flabergasted that an occasion to traditionally celebrate the impending motherhood of a heavily pregnant woman decked out in bridal clothes and jewelry would pass without anyone enquiring about the father of the child. Would it have been too much trouble to be ready with an excuse for his absence if they weren't ready to share the truth with their invited guests instead of looking around bemused at each other like surprised but well dressed mannequins at the guests' very natural inquiries about the pregnant bride's husband. Keep it together, Raizada women…does ASR have to always think about every contingency? Can you not allow his overworked self some respite so that he can focus instead on the mysteries that make up the camera equipment on Anjali's credit card, glimpses of hulky dark shadows that cross the poolside leaving behind a guilty looking di, the case of the vanishing electrician and the case of the leading-to-nowhere suspicious wires.

- I see lots of comments on ASR's outfit. I thought it worked well for him from the few full-length shots that we glimpsed today. He's been depicted as someone who likes to dress well in expensive, well tailored and understated clothes in muted or classic shades. The jodhpurs and structured top combo kind of worked in that sphere – the colours were classic, looked good on him and showed his lean figure to advantage by adding some much needed bulk. It is probably a little too edgy for ASR but, methinks, ASR bought some designer togs off the ramp to impress the gorgeous wife. This was a definite improvement on the kurta pajama on Rakshabandhan – that outfit completely destroyed the aura of ASR and made him look a lot younger and, dare I say, underfed.
