Anas is really the king of emotions and he always carry out the emotions perfectly well, be it in funny or emotional or romantic scenes. He is really portraying the character of Suraj superbly well. Kudos to him. 👏

Nice thread. I agree with you all - Anas is a fantastic actor and he definitely deserves the title of King of Expressions. 👏 ⭐️

I also like the comment many of you have made about him not being conscious of what he looks like when he is acting, which makes it all come across very naturally. Whatever Sooraj is feeling and emoting on the show, I think that Anas does a great job of making you actually FEEL what Sooraj is feeling. Whenever he smiles or laughs, it makes me do the same and when he is upset it is really a sad moment as well. I think he is great all the time, but there have been several incidents in particular that I think showed his talent very nicely.

Some of the Sooraj moments I found particularly powerful were:

1) Sooraj's reaction after Sandhya's angry outburst on their first night together.

2) When he first found out about Sandhya's education from a newspaper and got very upset because he thought/realised that this was one of the things that contributed to her not being able to accept him and confide in him.

3) When he found the divorce papers (this one made me almost cry).

4) A lot of the time when he was in SV2 mode and was upset because of his callousness towards Sandhya.

5) After the bus accident when he thought Sandhya might be gone forever - the hug scenes were really nice and his confessions about how he would have felt if he had lost her and why he had been mean to her were very touching. (The first hug when he confessed how he would have felt if she had died really made me cry.)

6) The recent love confessions in Singapore - they were fantastic and both Sooraj and Sandhya's expressions were lovely.

7) The WTC scenes - he has been very good at portraying many different emotions throughout the WTC, and his expressions after he won, then was accused of cheating, and then again when he was proven innocent and officially announced the winner were all great!

One of my favourite moments in DABH so far, even though it was a more light-hearted moment, was when Sooraj was waiting for Sandhya at the cinema. Sandhya was late and the movie had already started by then so Sooraj had given away their tickets to another couple who couldn't get tickets because they were all sold out. When she got there, he pretended to be angry with her and ignored her. My favourite part was when he pulled out some food from his pocket and sat down on someone else's scooter to eat it, facing away from Sandhya. The expression on his face was fantastic!!! I also like it when Sooraj blushes - its so cute!

Kudos to Anas, the Expression King! 👏

If only there was a real award like this at one of the many awards ceremonies! SPA 2013 organisers, can you hear me??? 😃
