Not a fangurl so not sure what I would do even if I saw him:-)😉. I will surely do the haircut thing if Ippy is with me !

More than seeing him, making a post about seeing BS excites us 😆

Its not just the rural audience, its also very popular in urban areas. You're right, it is very issue-based and that gives it a good base to start from. Also, it is very rarely boring. You may hate the drama, but there is always something going on. And its mostly because every character has some story and drama attached to them. Also, they keep it simple and, as you pointed out, less confusing!

Does that mean that a pure love story will never succeed in India ? IPK is that primarily -- if you take away from the focus from the love story and the villains ie.
1)Arnav's past
2) Arnav's anger
3) MU 1 ( fashion show) , MU2 ( Shyam and Khushi)
4) Shyam
what is left? There is no message or issue that it wants to spread... although it tried. Maybe they should look at a shorter lifecycle for such serials then ...?
What say?

Wow I love the name ... the one who spread Buddhism to Ceylon , Burma etc. My son used to have a teacher called Sanghamitra -- we used to call her Sangha!!

That's true. Sanghamitra really has a lovely history. But I know how it feels to have a Bong name among non-Bongs, especially in the North. Not Sweety, Bubbly enough😕

Ash,
My real name is quite a mouthful...Sanghamitra (you know Samrat Ashoka's daughter...my mother was a history scholar at the time of my birth😆😆,hence the name), but friends call me by the shortened version i.e, Sangha. Well J baptised me as Jujubes😆

Beautiful name but yes a mouthful...I'll stick to Hriju...😉

According to me, any serial should not last long.

But IPK has a good story. But the way it is conveyed is not upto the mark. They are keeping all the tracks open. Some of them are small and some are big. One of the biggest issue to me till date is there is no confrontation between hero and the villain. Love story would be a hit only when there is a direct confrontation. May be they will show it in the end. But that is ok for a film, not for a serial.

Oh a love story always works. Look at our films. Is there ever a movie without a love angle? But there's only so far you can go with that. It all ends when the boy-girl are together. Just look at the hangout reaction these days. Some find their chemistry palling, some hate loveface Arnav.
This is a soap and the only thing that sustains a soap is drama. And thats true not just for India.

True. I like the American format of Seasons with long breaks.
