Giaa Manek was one of the favourite contenders to bag the coveted prize on Colors TV's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 5. But her elimination from the popular dance reality show has left Giaa shocked and surprised.

Giaa who has a huge fan following and who has impressed the judges with her versatility is taken aback by the outcome, "It was hard to believe that I was eliminated. I scored higher points (26) than Karan Wahi and Shibani Dandekar who were in the bottom three with me. I'm also more popular with fans". Adding, "It was shocking because I was constantly working on myself".

Giaa feels she experimented on the show like no other contestant, "Nobody has given dance variations like me on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. I have taken so many risks, especially for a non dancer. It's not fair to pair dancers with non-dancers."

But according to Giaa, TRPs play the most vital role, "If throwing me out was good for the show's TRP, then I totally respect that decision though I was not expecting this". But Giaa's journey doesn't end here, "I cried at the elimination but I have emerged from a non dancer to being a dancer. My choreographer on the show is going to continue teaching me dance so I'm happy".

Where will her journey take her from here? "As of now, I need a week's break to just sleep, relax and rest. Will figure things post that".
