~The Beatles
You had to use NK & The History of Love for your quote, didn't ya?😛😍 Absolutely the best quote for every overture spoken and unspoken--Arnav in love...finally a confession, beautifully & heart-tuggingly rendered to a witness-his Di! Everything he does is for this very love. Desperate to be the husband, trying to set things right. But not forgetting his responsibilities as a brother--to that sister who is going through and working on her own anguish. Balancing his relationship with the two women who matter to him more than anything else.
You said it so correctly, hun: his conscience is clear for now. He believes he has started making amends to her...they are on the right trajectory. Bringing a smile to her face with his sweet offering, cracking insider jokes that only she would understand, a throwback to how they were when he first realized his intense caring, and love for her. Yes, it was that unbelievable attraction, it was love. But for someone who had created such a deep chasm within his heart with hatred, understanding love took time...It took all those moments with her--"Swami", getting into the fold at GH, their showdown on the bridge, and the kidnapping--to realize that she is the ONE, she has ALWAYS been the ONE! And most importantly, his feelings are reciprocated on some level!
But I agree, the next few days will yet be an eye-opener on so many levels!! To clearly understand her pain, her uncertainty, and ultimately why it hurts her. This will be his greatest test, yet! But for now, the Knight in Shining Armor is well on his way!
The man of a few words, who never believed in love, fully recognized the strength of his own ego, reaches out to her as she sleeps...Just as when he watched when he slept on the recliner, or when he watched her sleep at GH. He tells her everything will be ok, because he will make it ok...Catharsis yet again...her beautiful face--his strength and his reason!
"Maybe there's something you're afraid to say, or someone you're afraid to love, or somewhere you're afraid to go. It's gonna hurt. It's gonna hurt because it matters."
~John Green
Loved how you described Khushi here. She realizes his love, Di's hurt, and how it will impact everything if she stayed. A very poignant conversation with Naani who reminded her that as a married couple they need to be with each other; it is normal. That Anjali will take time to get over her pain. Spurred by this very conversation, Khushi's reticence echoed every thought running in that beautiful mind...What is the definition of her own marriage as she looks at this man next to her? Yet she is not deliberate...Her words to Payal spoke a million words: take care...of everyone...She won't be there, its the best way to get towards some "semblance of normalcy." To get away to think, to just be. Give harbor to her own feelings. That last glance at him as she leaves him to enter GH said it all! Because ultimately he & his own are all that matter!
Other thoughts:
~Agree about PayAsh...I thought it was very naturally portrayed! Yep, I am ok with this "all izz well..." Reality checks sometimes don't need to be long drawn!
~I genuinely think Anjali was happy for her Chotey. She took a step to give her regards to & concern for Khushi & her family--completely in keeping with her character! Way to go as she works through her pain. We've always said Anjali will be critical to bringing them back again...the first baby steps in motion now!!
~Mamiji: hahaha...what a difference a few days makes! That tongue knows no rest!😆
~NK: LOVED Ya!!! Ever the friend, sakha personified...bent on bringing them together under any circumstances!
Sobti ROCKED!!! Just love that smirk and how he gets every nuance in his dialogues! You can tell he's missed it too!😃 Loved Jayashree T & Daljeet, too! Sanaya just looked so vulnerable in portraying Khushi's state of mind...Awesome!
Ah, I have missed the show, and this space. I am not caught up yet, but am in bed with the stomach flu so had to watch the epi to keep myself entertained! 😒 Looking forward to the rest of the week!!
