Priyanka nearly lost out on the Barfi role - Page 2

Barfi is a copy of Korean movie ... I liked that one but Indian viewers will not like it -- Slow movie... ( black type )...

If Barfi flops I will loose all faith in the south-asian audiences ability to judge a good movie. It's already wafer thin, how are these people paying to watch crap like Housefull, Bodyguard etc?

in a recent survey barfi came in 3rd for most awaited film after ek tha tiger & srk yrf

Wasnt this role rejected by Asin? So he thought Asin could do it and not PC?

i dont think the movie will be a flop.. it seems like a positive movie... inspite of their disability the characters look happy...so it could be inspirational...only if people want to be inspired and not just want entertainment.

priyanka is probably the best actress (drama category) we have currently. By drama i mean roles like these, challenging roles be it WAF 12 distinct characters or 7 khoon maaf and now her forth-coming barfee, I dont see much gain in her star-power with this as i know biruu will walk away with more recognition (unfair!) and the movie will not be a block-buster for sure but priyanka will definitely prove her acting capabilities once again like she always does! May be a national award, we never know. The trailer shows so less of her, i wonder what kind of a promotional strategy that was, so its too soon to say how impressive she appears in it but im sure she would grow even more as an actor! 👍🏼

PC is the best and most versatile actress of the current times besides Vidya. I don't think any other current actress would be able to play the autistic role that Priyanka's gonna play.
