On new ground!
From playing the enthusiatic Yuvi in the cult show - Remix, to the calm and composed Ashutosh in Kahaani. Here is what Raj Arora Singh has to say.

Your first reaction when you heard you would be part of Kahaani?
I was expecting it, I was first offered a role in Kyunki… I had to refuse as it was immediately after shooting for Remix, I wanted a month's break. Then Balaji offered me the role of Ashutosh Mehra in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. It came at the right time when I wanted to get out and start work. So, here I am!
Tell us about the role of Ashutosh?
Ashutosh is the youngest son of Suyash Mehra, he has just returned from London and is really sweet. He is modern on the out side but has deep routed traditional values. He eventually tries to bring the broken family together. Ashutosh dotes over Parvati as his divine mother.
How does it feel to be part of the Balaji?
Great, Ektaji and Balaji create shows that click with the audience. They have got the cord of the Indian audience. When I started working here, I knew I will be doing this to reach out to the masses.
How has the transition been?
On the sets of Kahaani, a new term has been coined to describe what I went through - they say I am "re-doodled"! (haha!) The transition has been smooth, I relaxed the last month and came here with fresh energy.
Isn't it too mellow-down a role to be playing after Yuvi?
May be, but it's sure a challenge!
How is it like working with a cast and on the sets, that's unlike Remix?
People here are just as nice, they are warm and generous, they have made me feel at home in the first week of the shoot, they are very organized. Yes, it is a different environment… At Remix the whole crew was young, I am probably the youngest guy on the sets here at Kahaani…
On the sets, they are all encouraging. The Kahaani... cast plays a lot of carrom board, I am a chess player and I lose miserably against these guys… It's still the beginning and I will improve in this sport too.
What do you think your Remix experience can bring to Kahaani...?
Remix has made me the actor I am. I must thank Goldie Behl, our director Tamra M'am for giving me the greatest learning platform that any new comer in the industry would crave for. I am very grateful to everyone in the cast and crew of Remix.
