Spice Girls Hangout:Piecing the puzzle!

Once upon a time in IPKKND, there was this really good story with complex characters playing out on the screen. A story that you could take for what you saw on the surface and be satisfied that you were watching a show that was a par above most. And if you did dig deeper and discovered the brilliant underlying story/ies, then it was all bonus -- an absolutely wonderful bonus. Then Holi happened. Since then, it has been one uphill battle to just get the point that the creators were trying to make.

This week it has felt like it used to be pre-holi. Episodes this week have been fun to discuss with friends who are just general viewers of the show as well as the more obsessed among us. And all it needed was to have DM back on this show's side.👍🏼

The clarion call for war began as soon as DM announced her team and DM is of course, always, team Khushi. The troops have been assembling since. The havan scene depicted the stage as it is set, battle lines drawn, sides chosen. I thought it was very interesting where MM was. One major player is missing, though. And the war will not begin until this player chooses his side. Where I think we are headed once this kidnapping track is done, is Arnav choosing his side in the battle and it will be Arnav who will make the choice.

For team Khushi, the enemy is straightforward. It is the man in the shadows, the one keeping her from her laad governer, her Arnav-ji, it is Shyam. It is the one who is right at home wrong-ing every member of the family starting with the family favorite Anjali and the man in charge Chotte and his Khushi.

For Arnav, nothing is that straightforward. The man in the shadows for Arnav , the one keeping him from Khushi, his happiness, the one who has opened the cracks, the windows that have let Shyam in their world, the one who blindfolded him is ASR. For Arnav, the road to Khushi, the final battle with Shyam, cannot happen until he fights with his inner demon and triumphs over him first.

The day Arnav triumphs over ASR will be the day he will look beyond what ASR's aviator covered vision of the world asks him to believe. And that is the day he will be ready to choose the right side in the final battle.

One could suggest a psychiatrist, but apparently they don't like them in the soap world. 😆

Arnav's progression to the havan has been slow, but happening none the less throughout the entire year. There was the havan in the initial episodes where he just did not show up, to the havan where Khushi found out Shyam's truth when he came down from his cave worried about a distraught Khushi, to the havan before the Payash wedding, already there waiting for khushi to join them wearing his gifted bangles.

And this is where veeps says to herself -- veeps, you have a problem and it is called IPKKND. Now do something about it. 😡 One would suggest a psychiatrist but apparently there is no Freudian case that sets the precedence for this ailment. Veeps needs help. 😭

*sigh* Moving on.

Today's episode, the only thing that comes to mind is Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed.. Pacify, Buy, Punish, Divide (And rule).

Saam when she held on to Shyam's hand (the promo probably an extension of this) and daam with the 2 lac rupees, hopefully will be elaborated tomorrow. Anything and everything to get her Arnav-ji back.

But as always happens, all actions have an equal and opposite reactions. So will this probably.

Payalia is back to being the fierce protective older sister. Thank you, Mother, Mary and Joseph!!!! Otherwise known as Gul, Janaki and Gautam/Ved...😆

Maami's lagat hai phatee saarees aur humka kaan mein nimbu mirch lagake ghumeka padi' Black Magic. I am sure there is a point to bringing up the Black Magic thing again and again. Do not get it, but I am sure it lines up with the 666 from yesterday. Somebody connects and tells me. 😕

Shyam's ranisahiba, aapne humare kisi bhi hatiyaar ko koi kaam ka nahi choda.. 👍🏼

Sari,what a brilliant write up. Half truths indeed all around, with the unknown quotient resting with the key player Arnav. We are definitely getting back to the old, golden days of IPK.

One more fast paced episode. The war has started and Khushi/NK are taking the first steps out in the open. Khushi finally manages to open the case and is shocked on finding Arnav's passport and boarding pass. She passes the info to NK with DM watching and guiding her. Shyam is about to get back to the room but Anjali, the unsung helper as usual stops Shyam on his tracks and asks him to stay for the aarthi.

I loved the entire aarthi scene. First and foremost the return of the background tune, it was nice to hear that. The absolute impatience, anger and rage in Khushi knowing that Shyam is responsible for her husband's kidnapping was brilliantly conveyed by Sanaya. NK correctly gauging her restlessness and emotional state calms her down. I love the way they are depicting the lovely friendship between Khushi (post marriage) and NK - Naye soch indeed👏

Khushi tries to return the passport and boarding pass to the room. The NK-Khushi team even though only one day old, work well in sync with each other in distracting Shyam. Khushi does the very thing she abhors by reaching out to hold Shyam's hand to buy more time for NK. You can almost feel her thoughts as she thinks how to stop him, closes her eyes for a second figuring out there is no other way and then extends her hand to hold on to him. Sanaya was superb.👏

Payal steps in the right moment and cuts off the contact with Shyam. Shyam however is very happy that Khushi did hold his hand on her own accord. Khushi asks Anjali for 2 lakhs knowing fully well that Shyam is listening in. I am equally fascinated in knowing how this is going to move along tomorrow.

Musings : Call for MM during the havan. MM is still around when the script has been so packed the last few days. It does make one wonder,what role does he have to play in the ongoing proceedings?

Like everyone I am sure we are going to have an Arnie sighting either in the precap or last 2 min of the show. With Arnav back next week I really hope the PH and the CV's continue to maintain the show they have the last 4 weeks. They should not shift the entire IPK load back onto Barun and Sanaya's shoulders, instead split it efficiently 50 % A&K, 50% the remaining cast.

Also, with the return of ASR, do not even think about butchering this beautiful character development in Khushi and resort to mindless comedy. We all want to see the old smiling/cheerful Khushi but please strike a balance between the child woman and the woman in her.

Good episode today; NK is now fully into the investigation equation and he too is receiving first hand hints that Shyam is behind the kidnapping. He needs to see strong proof on his own so that he can stand by Khushi when the time comes! Khushi finally has a true friend to help and guide her out of this crisis and one who is neutral in his thinking and his relationships with the family. I think this is key here and that is why Mami has been taken out of the mix for sometime.

Like how Khushi has begun to use Shyam's weakness against him😉; I liked the whole drama she did to stall him from going into the room. They are building up for the promo to play out and it looks like Khushi's new plan just might work in her favor this time👏👏. She will do what it takes to bring her Arnavji back home even if it kills her on the inside; this time she will partner with the devil if needed. Shyam has manipulated everyone for too long, it is about time he gets a taste of his own medicine.

The best part of today was the resurrection of Payal😊; she finally opens her eyes to the lustful Shyam and does something to stop him. She is finally being the older sister Khushi so desperately needs at this stage. I just hope this is not a onetime occurrence before she gets lost in oblivion again😡.

Loved Mami's dialogue "Kidnappers waale kauno Black Magic kiye rahe... Laagat hai ab humka aur Phatti Saari ka kaan mein earrings ke bajaaye nimbu mirchi latkaaye ka ghoome ka padi"🤣🤣

Wonder what Khushi needs the 2 lacs for? But loved how Anjali did not feel the necessity to question her about it and trusts her to use the money for whatever she needs it for.

I doubt we will get an Arnav sighting tomorrow either At best we will see him in the precap. While the episodes have been well scripted and fast paced building up for the big drama, I can't wait to almost fastforward to next week and hopefully have Arnav back on screen for more than just a Monday sighting.

Just heard Barun's interview: finally the man has learnt to keep his answers diplomatic and not cause a uproar with each statement. Felt bad when he said "cut out life and just keep movie and show". These guys sure do work their ass off day in and day out!

Hi guys wasn't very enthusiastic about watching today's episode...knowing ODB was not going to be there...but once I sat down to see it... I enjoyed it... 😊



Here are the things I liked..

• The story made progress
• More facts came out in from of NK leaving no room for the benefit of any doubt
• Payal had a sensible role to play after a long time!
• KHushi was as restless as she should be...knowing Arnie is in danger
• The background music was just awesome
• Mami came for 1 minute but had a very perceptive and funny dialogue
• Shyamu was not his usual "give me a break" dumb self and actually looked menacing!
• KHushi was her smart self...like the original KHushi

No glimpse of ODB...will they leave the viewers hanging on a Friday without anything? As much as I appreciate the Cvs attempt To do the best the can without ARnie...him not being there at a long stretch like this is a serious issue. Will the viewers make it a point to see the episode without him? I am not sure...

Hopefully no precap means we have a surprise in store for tomorrow.. ⭐️

Whatever I missed out in the episode, you pointed out beautifully. Thank you Sari. It was a very very captivating episode. After yesterday, it was unexpected. I guess I liked because eveyone almost that is except Akash played a part and that is also at whatever whoever is good at. Liked Payal very much for scolding khushi for being careless and protecting khushi from Shyam aswell. I hope they grow her character from this angle. One reason Payal fails as a wife with akash may be because after the wedding she failed as a sister. If Payal can attract audience towards sister Payal, we will be more accepting towards Payash. Isn't it funny, past few days we have saying dhow her as a sister and we get it evenbefore the week ends.

SI did very good in the Shyam manipulation scene. The way she closed her eyes showed she did die thousand deaths before that. How snake bought into it . You are going down idiot.

Loved NK. He is cute and acting well too. Just like Sari you said hue had a crush on khushi and it yesterday's episode when khushi almost said she loves Arnav, NK's pain was portrayed nicely for a second.

I wonder how this 2 lakh thing will play out to trap Shyam?? Well, we will find out tomorrow.

Brilliant post like always Sari, loved this episode too. I agree many characters know the half truth, it will be interesting to see how this is all pieced together in the end. The CVs continue with their tight scripts and I couldn't be happier, finally I can see the soul of the show returning with each characters strengths shining through

A very short post today - coz Jamba is on STRIKE.

I agree with everyone that it all looks like its coming together - but DAMMIT!!! 😡 😡

1. We spent yesterday's epi trying to open the briefcase.

2. We spent today trying to close it and put it back.

3. We spend tomorrow trying to figure out where the 2 smackers (2 lakhs) fit in.

4. We spend the weekend tearing our hair out coz there was no precap on Friday.

5. We stand in front of the screen on Monday with our pooja ki thaalis - ready to welcome the Messiah, only to find that its the BD getting beaten up again.

So, ladies - Take 5 is officially on hiatus until this adventure thriller goes back to being a romance.

The battle lines were drawn yesterday and with Khushi's plan going into full swing tomorrow, the battle is ready to begin!
This will be a twisted, dark battle, but boy am I excited!! Like too too much (almost like Mort from Madagascar would say to King Julian...😳)

I'm not going to lie, I have many funny bones, and Maami and NK can really rattle them. I'm really loving NK more everyday. He was in proper Lakshman element today. He will be the Lakshman. Aakash is her brother-in law, he'll always be the big brother, but NK will be the dewar she can always rely on.

Ahhhaaa, as cringe worth as it was, it was probably one of the most important scenes of the show. And Payal is witness to what Khushi did to save Arnav. She won't let this go, she'll ponder and try to get to the bottom of this and dare ASR ever try and misunderstand Khushi again, that time around Payaal will give him a piece of her mind on how much her sister has done for him. I was really happy to see the evolution of Payaal.

I don't know if your photo was a co-incidence or you were hinting at the same, but in the Teej episode, Payaal had taken Anjali's thaali and returned it to Anjali. She had made the transfer. That was one sign and there was one today when she again interrupted and became the obstacle between Khushi and Shyam. Paayal is brought in now, Khushi's biggest ally after Arnav and Shyam has no idea what is about to hit him.
Like I mentioned in the earlier thread, you never mess with a sibling, especially a younger one. Payaal will soon be in the loop and eventually Anjali will, their wrath will be worse than ASR's and yes none of Shyam's "hathyar" will work against a sibling's protective instinct.

Ah the Divine Intervention continues and the DM helps them who help themselves indeed 😃 Khushi finds Arnav's Boarding pass and FAKE plasticy passport in Shyam's briefcase...the keys just miraculously happen to be under the rug...seriously Shyamu Boy you need a brain check...the Will is stuck under the crib and the key's under the rug...For all we may know Arnav is sitting in the guest bedroom 2 rooms over...😕
