So here we are one year on. Wow what a year its been! Never in a million years did i believe that on hearing the immortal words 'hello hi bye bye' i would get so addicted to this show. Addiction is the only way i can describe it. Everyday i log in here to see and read new posts, pictures and vms.
My heart literally pounds when i see spoilers as a new post, hoping that this will be an arshi spoiler. Its gone beyond obsessive now. My youtube favourites are clogged up with old sbs segments, vm's and favourite scenes. I have gone as far as putting playlists together of the whole run of episodes from episode 1, as well as a seperate playlist for arshi love scenes. What started as simple enjoyment has turned in to compulsion.

We have all had our moments when we have argued over the choices the cvs have made but looking back i think they have done a truly magnificent job.
We all wanted the love story to start earlier and the hate track to end sooner, but all the in between bits has given the serial substance. Like i always say you can't make a good cake without all the ingredients. The serial is like this. The intense feelings the characters have would be built on sand not brick if the foundations were not there. We may not like it, but it makes the more intenses scenes between arnav and khushi even more outstanding.

We all love the onscreen chemistry that arnav and khushi have. I for one dont want the serial to end soon. I think theres a lot more scope yet to be explored, whilst still circulating the two main characters.
If i was a serial plotter, i think this would be my tree of events...please exscuse it sounding like a OS.

khushi gets shot saving arnav from shyam
Shyam goes on the run after being exposed.
Anjali admits false pregnacy as she was trying to keep shyams evil side from everyone
arnav falls out with anjali as he thinks she could of come clean.
khushi and arnav fall out over her sticking up for anjali
arnav and khushi and anjali make up
khushi and arnav remarry properly and consummate.
khushi finds out she is pregnant.
payal argues with akash about his mother
akash sticks by his mother
payal walks out
khushi sticks by payal
manorama horrible to khushi
khushi retaliates back
khushi and arnav fall out over her behavoiur
manorama patches them too together
manorama sees how unhappy akash is and patches him and payal up
things start going missing in rm house
stress makes khushi give birth early
everyone prays for new baby.
baby is in the clear
baby gets taken from hospital
khushi has a breakdown
we found out shyam has kid napped baby for a ransom
arnav and anjali go to give shyam ransom with khushi
shyam arrested.
the person anjali was going to marry comes back to the scene
arnav goes back to asr mode as he remembers past
past comes back to haunt them.

This is how far my brain has stretched lol.
See obsessive or what?
What do you think, is there scope for the above storylines?

I think we can agree that me as well as lots of you have sucked the show in fully, to the point of it taking over our lives.

This forum is home for me. As a white british girl, i have no friends or family of indian descent, the show and you guys are my only connection. Yet i never feel out of place and i know if i have a question about the culture that someone will answer me without a hint of sarcasm.
I thank you for that.
I also thank all the writers of the fiction works. You have set my writing wick alight again, and this i thank you for.
I must not forget the cvs, as they have made a magnificent job. The show for me is spot on. You are doing a great job cvs.
I believe no press is bad press, for all the negative posts the positives out weigh them. If people were not writing about the show at all it would mean no one is watching it. The debates that happen in the forum must be viwed as a positive. Without such ardent passionate fans and viwers the serial would not be as successful.

Lastly i move on to the characters.
Well barun and sanaya, what can i say? Truley gifted actors who deserve their success. I think we have fallen in love with arshi more because of the down to earth nature that sarun have. Without such chemistry on and off screen i think the characters would be some what hollow. The believeability of the characters is second to none really.
The supporting cast adds the scaffolding to the main characters, without them the story would not be there.

I believe that characters like NK, Bubbli and manoranmas brother have all played important roles. Nk brought out the jealousy in arnav and we needed this. Without jealousy the feelings mite not have intensified.
Bubbli brought akash out of his shell. Without her we would still be seeing the one dimensional akash instead of the raizada in him. As i said plenty of scope for intense storylines between him and payal.
The brother well, short and sweet his stay may be, it hasnt been in vain. Without him snooping on khushi and nani the fone call might not of happened.
Without him manoramas 007 side might not of been so prominent. Without her 007 side the bonding process between her and khushi might not of happened.

Last but not least, lets not forget lavaya. Without her the bonding of khushi and arnav wouldnt of happened.

So thank you everone for keeping our IPKKND addiction alive, and for allowing us to believe in this fantasy.

Oh Cheryl! I was snooping through my phone again which I shouldn't be doing and stumbled across your post!

Such a long way we all have come across! It seems like yesterday that we saw the 1st promo and now its one freaking year!

I agree on the part where you said the each character had its importance. IPKKND has good side characters but its just the matter of exploring those characters.

Hopefully we'll have more fantastic years ahead!

Cheers!

I can't believe a year has gone by.. it seems my obsession for this show increases day by day

I agree even though some people didn't like the misunderstandings and problems that occurred between Arnav and Khushi but, if they had not took place we wouldn't feel the same amount of impact and happiness when they finally meet.

Woaaahh I love your perspective. I never knew IPK had such multicultural fans. The fact that you have remained loyal to this show through it's highs and lows and are still remaining optimistic, even though you have no other connections to the language or culture, must be applauded. This is the magic of IPK, fans like you prove that. 👏🤗

You've written so much in the post.
I think the show is powerful for still managing to attract viewers despite it's limitation of being a hindi spoken tv show.
I love your optimism through out the post and your hope in what they can do with it in the future.
Loved your takes, you should post more😊

Nice post! I only discovered the show in February and joined India Forums. From then, things have changed so much as I became obsessed with the show, the actors, and with India Forums.
I'm also non-Hindi speaking, though I'm familiar with some words. But language is not a barrier, and thanks to the LU and the English subtitles. I am understanding more Hindi now.
So what makes the show so addicting? I believe it is a combination of the story line, main leads and their chemistry, their acting skills, the supporting cast, and very importantly, the background music. Despite some of the flaws in editing or, this show is still very special.
