Sati and Parvati, both were the human avatars of Maa Adi Shakti.
Sati was Daksh's daughter hence was known as Dakshyani. After Daksh insulted her husband Shiv, Shakti no more wanted to live with the tag of Dakshyani. and hence, she burnt off her sati avatar and took rebirth as daughter of Himalaya when Maina Rani, wife of Himalaya did penance for having her as her child , hence her one of the avatars is Shailputri(Daughter of Mountains)
according to wikipedia of the show mouni is supposed to play sati, parvati, adi shakti but then depends on the show makers wat r they upto we just cant guess
