Ok - Ayn Rand's fountain Head - I am half way through the book - Howard Roark -a character not many can relate to. I am still struggling with understanding this powerful character and I am yet to complete the book. With so many things happening in Iss pyaar ko - i left the book half way through. I should puruse it.
When I read your post again, I was able to read in between the lines, Priya, I understood why you quote "Howard Roark" I will not go through much detailing. You were very much subtle and the message is very well received. I thank you very much for sharing this very thought that came across.
All the best and thank you once again.
After reading the link to Khoobsurat and also the interview of NK, once think is sure, no one in this world is indispensable. There is always vacuum when people leave but still the world revolves around. Why does the PH house convince someone to this level - charity to the viewers. Why?
As Howard Roark said "the work anyone does is not charity for the people or PH or to themselves, it should be inordinate love and respect for doing the work".
When viewing the interview today, I also understood something very important - it is character or actor. The character gets refined by the actor's performance but still a character is a top scorer. If so, big actors will never face a box office disaster. Look at the role of "Gabbar Singh in Sholay" Is it amjath Khan or Gabbar Singh that stays in your mind. Amjath Khan is no more but Gabbar Singh is alive with "Kitneh Aadmi theye". If anyone understands this simple truth, the respect will be gained.
Please do not get offended.
