How long have we waited for this moment? ASR had his way back when they were both thinking of each other in each's homes and ASR heard his dhak dhak for the first time, while thinking of her and immediately he said – Khushi. Today was Khushi's turn.
The sequence was gorgeous. He lives in each breath she takes. From the mandir where she asked for Shiv to protect her husband and to return him safely to her to where she is mixing jalebi batter, to the reason she is making jalebis, he is there. She remembers their first meeting, accidental – where she fell into his arms and their last meeting, where she purposely held onto him, only to have him let go. There is no hiding it from the family, Arnav is on her mind – she is preoccupied with thoughts of him. She makes mithai just for him. And then Shyam tells her why do you bother when he's not here. Why does she?
She enters into their room where every nook and corner bears a memory and she closes the door. I love how the water from the pool, their special place, reflects on her while she reflects. She can't help this desperate sinking feeling that something is wrong, but something else is eating at her. She tries to get her mind off of it by continuing with daily chores. As she puts away her clothes, a string of pearls breaks off and spills out onto the floor and Khushi's heart opens its memories and they too spill forth from the first meeting. She is piecing together pieces of her heart, using her mind as she stares out to their oasis by the pool, where their moments of intimacy always unfurl.
Sanaya's acting, her voice were so heartwrenching, you had to ache for Khushi today. Khushi starts off her realization with complete acknowledgment of all hurts of the past. It starts with him breaking her dori and she recounts every single face off they have had, everything single moment that added to the reasons why she should hate this man, ending with the moment he crushed her dreams. But, then comes the part that we all have been waiting for, she reflects that despite all the nafrat, despite all the times that this bond of hatred should have allowed them to rip each other apart, instead something has quietly brought them together in understanding. And brought them together in ways that she now acknowledges give rise to a childish hope of building a new relationship with him, rising out of the ashes of what should be a burning hatred…but feels so much like longing and love loss instead, otherwise, what other reason could there be that he is everywhere, when he is nowhere. Keep it going Khushi, mohabbat is about to take over your ajeeb rishta.

"And when I touch your hand
It's then I understand
The beauty that's within
It's now that we begin
You always light my way
I hope there never comes a day
No matter where I go
I always feel you so
'Cause you're everywhere to me
And when I close my eyes it's you I see
You're everything I know
That makes me believe
I'm not alone "
