Akanksha Singh (Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha) In real life young professionals sport wearable clothes, but in soaps, they do the opposite. That explains why Akanksha as Megha in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, who's a journalist wears crumpled cotton sarees draped sloppily, with a tight bun and a sulky pout. Journos from small towns should take real serious offence to this reel caricature!

Designerspeak: Purvi Doshi says, "Khadi might work for her. Akanksha should wear collared shirts, Chinese collar tops or tunics with pockets. She can also try lovely hand-woven stoles with little Indian embroideries on it. Her sarees can be replaced with kalidaar dresses. She can try silver antique jewellery and a less conservative hairdo."

i don't agree.

This designer has obviously forgotten that this story is based in Indore. Wearing collared shirts & tunics would look out of character for someone like Megha. She is a simple person at heart which is correctly mirrored in the way she dresses. The last thing I want is for her to dress in chiffon sarees!

does d designer kno tht wid journalist she is a mother , a DIL and a widow who cant wear jewellery as she is small town gal (by ppls POV NT MINE)... renu might kill her wid taunts

This is what we should call irresponsible and insensible journalism. What a silly work by TOI!! The author and the designer have conveniently forgotten the premise of NBTNMKK, its setup and Megha's characterization.. Her costumes perfectly match the character in NBTNMKK!! I think this is the second article from TOI, baselessly criticizing our NBTNMKK without knowing anything about the show.. Maybe TOI is expecting some money from NBTNMKK producers, so that they can go around praising our show too, in the same way they do for other shows!! Get a life TOI!! I don mind megha wearing sarees but yes megha's sarees r not draped properly n d colour combination is weird...like in d precap she wore some bright orange blouse n her saree is a dull grey colour!! N regarding d suggestion, it's stupid!!

jo designer ne bola...if Megha wears anything like that...tab to Ram bachaye Renu aur Saroj ke gusse se...they will just make chote chote pieces of her aur chaba chaba ke kha kar dakar tak na lenge... 😆

@udhay: 100% agree with u. This is called paid news. Pay to the media either it is electronic or print and get the news which u want. I think rivals or competitors of NBT does not able to digest the mass acception of viewers towards NBT. I like everything about NBT whether its costumes, houses, and locations. And truely say these are the soul of this show.
