Arnav shut the laptop lid, stretching back in his chair, he groaned as his aching joints cracked. Rubbing away the tension in his muscles he glanced to the framed picture on his desk, smiling as his auburn eyes ran over the grinning woman and adorable little boy. He looked to the clock, wincing as he realized it was already eight; they would both be waiting for him, he thought as he rushed to leave. Giving the office a last once over he raced down the stairs, waving to the cheerful watchman and other employees as he got into his car and drove off.
Khushi frowned as the clock struck eight, shaking her head she turned to the little boy seated on the couch beside her, "dekha, your papa is still not here, samajtha kya hai apne aap ko?" The boy giggled, rushing to burrow his head into his mother's lap, "papa's coming mama," he said in that adorable baby voice. "Unhone Ishaan ko pwomise ki hai." Khushi giggled indulgently at the little boy, "oh really," she questioned, "promise?" Ishaan grinned up at her sunny smile, "pakka pwomise," he asserted.
Mother and son looked to the door as a ring erupted through the house, their faces blooming in joy. Khushi stood up, hands on her hips, "you are very late Ishaan ki papa!" she said scowling at the door. Ishaan scrambled off the couch, rushing to open to the door.
Arnav looked remorsefully at the little boy who glared at him reproachfully, resisting the urge to smile at his adorableness, he sunk to his hunches. Holding his ears he began his sincere apology, "sorry boss, aaj thoda late hogaya. Really really really sorry! Maaf karo please?"
The boy had crossed his arms definitely, but now opened them up to be scooped into engulfing hug. Laughing along with his squeals, Arnav entered the house, "mama kahan hai?" he asked, looking down at the little boy.
Khushi raised her eyebrow inquisitively as the he stepped in, a crooked smile on his handsome face, "wo'" he began, "I swear I left on time! Bohat traffic than na?" He turned his head, directing the question to the little boy who had managed to burrow into his arms. Ishaan nodded in agreement, "bohat traffic tha mama," he said.
"Acha?" Khushi asked, "aapko tho khoob pata hai." She shook her head at the father and son duo, muttering as she turned to head to the kitchen, "saara din mama ki pallu mein rehta hai, but as soon as his papa comes home-"
She squeaked as muscular arms enclosed around her waist, lifting her up into a spin, "put me down!" she squealed, "bache ki saamne chi!"
She glared at the impish smile adoring her husband's face as he set her down, refusing to let go. "Ishaan doesn't mind," he promised, "dekho he's already distracted," he said gesturing towards the TV where their son was already focused. He picked her up again, causing her to yelp, "Besharam! Khana kaun lagayega? ARUN! Put me down!"
The boy lifted his head from where it was buried into Arnav's neck, "mama!" he called out, "mamu is home!"

Why do all good things come to an end?
-Nelly Furtardo [All Good Things (Come to an End)]
-Clarification-
Apparently I should just stop trying to be abstract because it gets to the point where no one gets anything -_-
- AK are not together
- Khushi is married to Arun, Ishaan is their kid
- Arnav's relationship status doesn't matter becuase the kid is his nephew
- The picture on his desk is Anjali and his nephew
*excuse the atrocious hindi, it's ummm my third language đ*
