Once she was the queen of B-town, being the most sort-after actress. But Karisma Kapoor took the marital plunge when she was at the pinnacle of her career, and hence movies took a back-seat then. And now, the beautiful actress is making a comeback of sorts with her soon-to-release film 'Dangerous Ishhq'. During a recent press event for the same, Karisma reportedly took a dig at the current leading actress of the industry, Vidya Balan, by saying that she used to do the woman-oriented roles a decade ago.
While according to many, Vidya Balan has helped usher a new genre of woman-centric cinema almost single-handedly by acting in powerful movies like 'The Dirty Picture', 'Kahaani', 'No one Killed Jessica', 'Ishqiya' in the recent past. But Karisma Kapoor has begged to differ. She has reportedly said that this type of cinema is amazing but she would like to remind that she has already been there and done that by doing such stuff a decade ago through movies like 'Biwi No. 1', 'Shakthi', 'Fiza', Zubeidaa', et al. She summed it up by saying that a good actor will continue to get scripts like that.
Karisma's new movie is just about to release. Let us see whether she is able to justify what she has said with her performance.
