Hi Annie, Vibha, Priya, and Laddoo,

Laddoo you really have to divulge your name on this thread... honestly...

Annie, Sooo agree with you and its sooo good to be on a thread with some fun and frank conversation.. I totally am with you - haha. yes, 1 billion population, every single movie has a romance, you cannot make a movie without one and a little dalliance on TV and everyone is frothing at the mouth. I am ok if people say, well it's a prime time show and they dont want to show any "scenes" because of Indian family viewing behavior but to call it "dirty", "disgusting" and be holier than thou is a bit much...

the fact that I personally don't want any explicit scenes is neither here nor there. I just happen to think that as you say, IPKKND is classy and they do a fantastic job of showing all the heat with the kitchen ;) ... but even if they did, I bet they would do an exquisite job of it. I am sorry I am going to sound rather awful here but I have rarely seen the kind of beautiful intimate scenes in Indian movies without it veering into sleazy.. I don't know why.. whereas I feel that Hollywood and definitely European or Brit (should not differentiate but they are so different) does this much better. In fact Barun reminds me of Jason Statham for some reason.. that same repressed passionate style.. yum.. drool ...

Ok I need to go bug my hubby at this point ! lol...

you girls have a lovely time.. we have a long weekend here (I am in Oz) for Easter but no long break I am afraid but the long weekend is v welcome.. its been a pretty hectic month. I used to travel to CA quite often and was wishing I could have joined some of you in a pow wow. I am new to this place and like I said.. most of the folks I met here seem to watch that child bride story or some such thing.. (blech..) -- thinking of getting some of my anglo celtic friends to watch it.. btw, I got my son's Anglo celtic friend to watch Chota Bheem - his face was a sight to behold while he sat there trying to figure out why this cute little boy was wearing strange clothes and doing strange things...I would love to see the reactions of my friends here to the long eye locks (ROFL)
