In a practical sense, yeah, she could do that for a couple of days, but when her treatment starts and all the Choudhary's are aware, then the Vadhera's will be aware and somewhere in the middle, Jeevika will find out. Personally, I think when Jeevika finds out, she won't break like we'll expect her to - we'll finally witness her inner strength which we first caught a glimpse of at the aftermath of Karva Chauth when she sheltered Manvi from Beeji's anger.
We'll see a new side of this relationship, Jeevika's defensiveness and possesiveness will come to the forefront whilst Manvi's reliance on Jeevika will become crucial. Through this we'll see all the drama surrounding their bond - how this will affect Jeevika's relationships with her in-laws. I mean, realistically, if your sibling had contracted a life threatning illness, then they will be constantly in your thoughts, so I think all the 'problems' people have been prophesising that will occur between Jeevika and her in-laws won't be as big as we've imagined because in those situations, that's the natural reaction to have.
And this is the idea my friend had the other day: Manvi will become like Aman from Khal Ho Na Ho. She, whilst being ill, will take it upon herself to bring happiness into everyones life. She'll try and become the matchmaker between Maya and Virat (hence the whole Maya saga), and in the process she'll start having feelings for him but won't act upon them because she firmly belived in Maya-Virat jodi. As she pushes him away, they'll grow closer (and unlike at their current states) they will fall in love. But, obviously, there will be lots of hungama; you could throw in a pregnant Jeevika, and Doctors telling Manvi she's one of the 90% who won't recover properly ect, ect - all of which will stretch out the show as long as it can.
If the CVs fling in bone marrow donations as the main treatment program, then I will not be happy - I think the stats are at 20-30% of leukemia suffer's actually go through that, so by far, not the most common treatment. I hope they start it off realisticlly, with the chemo, supplementing that with other treatments. I just wonder how medically accurate they want to be: will Nia wear a bald cap through filming because hair loss is probably one of the bigger side effects of chemotherapy treatment for leukemia. It's not the first time we're seeing cancer on Indian TV; the first instance I can remember is Prerna and Anurag's daughter Sneha in KZK - that was terribly picturised, but it can be forgiven because that was the norm back then.
With the likes of DMG under their belts, hopefully EHMMBH will become a trend setter and a point of innovation for Indian serials, making that degree of reality crucial in the plotline. The soaps I watch in the UK - Eastenders, Corrie - despite being fictional actually have that crucial degree of realism which is unique and unlike other places in the world. So, yeah, hopefully ( and this is a huge 'hopefully' ) the CVs won't srew the rest of the show up as they have with each and every track they've done so far.
Thanks for reading and please share what you think about the future plot =]
