Great post Subha. You have again beautifully captured every significant detail of a seemingly filler episode. The CVs are inching the story forward albeit slowly through these minor advances:

1) Like Payal & Khushi again teaming up. Although, Payal only teamed up because it suited her. She is so brainless herself cannot survive without her smart sister's help. Its high time she realizes how much Khushi has done for her and show some gratitude and help her out when Khushi needs her help.

2) The slip up by snake today did not seem to have any immediate effects thanks to Arnie, but the seeds of doubt have surely been sown today to be reaped later by Anjali when she starts connecting the dots.

3) The kheer scene obviously the highlight of the day, nothing more to add as you have summed it up beautifully. What started of as pretense on Arnie's part ended with genuine care & concern while quite the reverse happened for Khushi. Khushi intending to placate her elusive hubby with a bowl of kheer to spill the beans as to why he said she had heart him was quite bowled over Arnie's charm, only to recover after catching sight of Anjali while coughing. Sadly then, Arnie was being truly caring and loving. Sigh! when will these two star crossed lovers meet & talk genuinely?

Today I initially was turned off by the play-acting as it seems to add salt to the wound of our hurting lovers.

But I do agree, and I discussed this with Rabba Ve, that the length was meant to accomplish something. I think just like Shyam's mask is slipping, so is ASR's. He cannot be so cold and calculating and his mask is slipping as the days of his marriage have increased. Note that this scene is right after his admission to Khushi that she hurt him. He had a hard time acting with Anjali and threw away any pretense when she knocked on the door.

He carefully puts the mask on, overdoes the romance, maybe because before he was unable to keep up the act before with Anjali and appears to go into acting mode. But in the extension of the moment I think i that he cannot sustain his anger and indifference to KKG. And he is is also not ready for her angry retort and accusation and the pain she causes him when she pulls way.

And pulling away in some ways KKG is indeed. She has told him not to touch her hand, that she does not want to talk to him and she is rebelling against his orders.

What will Arnav do? His mask appears to be hurting him as much as her and the worst thing is that these are the memories that he will have of the first precious days of his married life.

Todays episode was alright, didnt doo too much to fill up the excitement that I had all weekend. I was expecting more than just one scene of ArHi, or atleast some progress in Khushi's thoughts. But it seems like the Cv's are taking this slowly, which is a bit off for me. Oh well, I'll let them to unfold this tale of these star-crossed lovers at their own pace...

I dont want to dwell too much into the kitchen politics, Mamiji-Payalia's diet-kheer issues...because we all know they are just fillers. Im sure tomorrow will be a dhamaka for Mami and more tears from Payalia, with the stove still left on...

and yes I also think that these fillers are a catalyst to bring Khushi and Payal together...

The only scene that I enjoyed today was undoubtedly, the last Kheer one...though it was fake, and down out of pretence, you could still see them both fighting...though Arnav initiated the scene to show his Di, but he couldnt help but resurface the love he has for Khushi...one cough, and he was all up getting water...thats the power of his love, Arnav Singh Raizada's love...and as for Khushi, I like how she is still questiong (Atta girl, dont give up!!)...but the ankon-ankon mein ishare from Arnav is something no one can escape...I loved the little eye sequence...and her fumbling...oh she is affected, for sure. When Khushi noticed Anjali, she told him off..and the little eye lock that followed thereafter, you could see both of them fighting...while she hoped that he didnt do all of this out of pretence...and he realized his fumble of caring for Khushi again...surely a star-crossed lovestory :)

and last but not the least, Barun and Sanaya. They are the soul of this show, and they make it all the more worthy to watch...such passionate chemistry between the two...and their comfort as friends offscreen really helps their onscreen scene.

and and BISS.😳 The second he walks into the frame, he grabs all the attention, and you could see this in the beginning scene and also when he walked down the stairs in the end.

I was thinking of Arnav's act today - was it fake or not..

As you said, I see a big contrast in his fake acting on the kangans, versus today.. . If we see right after the wedding it was all hatred.. The 'I hate you' conversation was the venting of his feelings.. And then there was cold silence with love ebbing out.. Then the act from Arnav to throw his love -the broken bangle and yet going after her as a mad man and bringing her back home.. And he admitted to her that he was hurt by her..

His reaction to her spilling the kheer was starkly different than his reaction to her spoiling his shirt in the kangan scene.. The anger was controlled - His expression was exasperation more so.. Arnav is certainly mellowing down ..

I agree with you on the reason why he acted.. He was trying to hard to erase the previous scene from his sister's mind.. And while carrying on the pretense, he was lost too.. There were moments, where he lost and he recovered.. and finally when she choked his love was out..

In the end you could clearly see his yearning for it to be different - her to understand that he did it out of love - but he left her clouded in judgement as he is still confused about her betrayal or her being in love with Shyam..

Rightly said, his mask is slipping as easily as Shyam's..

The fake act scenes were set up for Arnav - where he feels his love is coming out.. And quite frankly he is losing the battle.. As you said the fact that Khushi is making demands out of him is not helping him either.. Though Khushi does'nt know or realize, Arnav is completely weakening..

You have rightly said - his mask is hurting, the feeling that he lost her is hurting - and he is deep in the puddle - love is hurting him indeed.. True to the promo...

But being the hard man he is, he will continue it all - he will live through the suffering - live through every bit of pain knowing it hurts and it is bitter - But I feel again, the pain he is suffering is not to do with his sister - It is to do with his love.. his bittersweet love..

As always, wonderfully written and explained Subha, I love the full circle and parallel to the dhabba scene again. It reinforces that notion of fake marriage just like they were pretending to the owner in Nanital. Irony being in the reversal of roles, before it was Khushi and now it is Arnav but this time there is a genuine element of underlying love below the surface.

I liked the fake-Rabba ve this time because it not only revealed Khushi's emotions but by the end Arnav's too. Whilst with the shirt scene it seemed like Khushi was being used and manipulated I don't think it was quite the same this time because now she knows a proportion of the truth. So her baffled, dazed and slightly wishful expression when Arnav is attentively feeding her illustrates that a part of her years for that side of Arnav and understand that hidden beneath the hate mask he is still there. Then as Julie said, the extension of the scene and Khushi's coughing fit led to the slipping of Arnav's mask as genuine concern revealed itself - for a second he forgot about Anjali watching and his hate - he was focussed on her, just her.

KKG's anger and reaction to the fake romance defined the scene because she was frustrated not only at Arnav and his pretence but also perhaps at herself for letting that little light of hope flicker inside her.

I think it's ironic, as you guys said whilst Arnav is weakening and mellowing it seems Khushi's resolve against him is becoming stronger slowly - but only the truth can prevent her completely hardening her attitude towards him!
