😊😊Hey guys!! Newbie here! 😳 This is my first shot at writing something and was totally put together in the matter of minutes!! I needed to write something that express the dejection and loneliness that Khushi was feeling with the desertion of everyone in her life. Please leave comments and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism! Thanks a ton!! Also please don't copy this to any other sites! Thanks 😊😊

Part 1

Khushi sat, hugging her knees, by the poolside wondering what she had done to deserve this fate. She was just beginning to understand her feelings for Arnav and beginning to feel the warmth of her first love creeping through her, when it was all shattered. With all the harsh words and rejection she faced, she was contemplating just going away like everyone wished. Mamiji's words hit home when she said that no one wanted to see her face. Maybe she was just plain bad luck. Her parents passed in her presence and wherever she went, instead of bringing the happiness she wished to share, she always ended up hurting the people she loved. With this thought she decided it was best to end her miserable existence and free herself and the people she loved from the pain. A sense of calm overtook her, as she realized that she would finally do something right. The hollowness and emptiness she felt was evident in her emotionless eyes and expressionless face. She slowly made her way downstairs, not hearing the calls of Anjali ji and Nani ji. She just kept walking, past everyone, out the front door. She kept walking with a purpose, to the market where she could buy the things she needed to fulfill her destiny. Instead of leaving everything up to DM, she decided to be like ASR and write her own fate. She wouldn't be the reason that everyone was hurt and in pain. She slowly made her way back to RM and quietly slipped to her room. She sat down and wrote a letter explaining herself and apologizing for the hurt and shame she brought upon her family. She took the whole bottle of pills, and while she was waiting for the poison to take hold, she took off her mangalsutra and her mother-in-law's kangans to put with the letter, and then she laid down on the bed. Images of her loved ones flashed through her mind as she quietly slipped away from this world and floated to the world of stars, where her parents awaited her with open arms.

Part 2

ASR was sitting in the conference room of his office ironing out the kinks in the new upcoming project that his company was working on, when suddenly he felt it hard to breathe. It was as if his very soul was being sucked out of his body at that very moment. He abruptly stood and strode out the door rushing home. He knew something was wrong and the first person he thought of was Khushi. The strong empathic connection he seemed to have with Khushi was slowly diminishing like a dying candle and his fear grew tenfold. He ran through the front doors of RM and into his room to find Khushi lying on the bed looking paler than a corpse. He rushed to her side and grabbed her hand to find it extremely cold. His heart was beating fast and his head kept screaming NO NO NO NO! He felt her wrist for a pulse, but couldn't find one. She's leaving me he thought. With that thought, he picked her up and ran out the door and drove her straight to the hospital. The doctors wheeled her in and Arnav was left waiting outside, hoping, and for the first time in years, praying for good news. During this agonizing moment, he realized that he had no control over his fate, his destiny. He spent so much time being ASR and trying to write his own destiny, when this whole time it was Khushi who was his destiny. Without her in this world, he would go back to being half alive. With this realization, he stood up and decided that WHEN, not if (because he would NEVER let that happen), Khushi woke up, he would do everything in his power to make her happy. Even if it meant letting her go.

Part 3 Last Part!

After the doctor gave him the okay to go into Khushi's hospital room, Arnav cautiously entered, not knowing what he was going to say or do. He was staring at her face, looking for signs of discomfort or pain, but all he saw was a serene Khushi, sleeping peacefully. He realized that this was the most peaceful he'd seen her in past few months. Usually he'd see dejection, pain, desperation, and finally emptiness. He vowed at this moment that her happiness was everything to him. If she was happy, then so was he. He slowly walked over to her bedside and gently took a hold of her hand, almost as if he thought she'd shatter with his touch. He started talking to her and explaining to her why he did everything he did. This misunderstanding had broken his heart, and unfortunately his heartbreak had overpowered their newly developing love. He found it so easy to fall back into the routine of a cold ASR than to trust, but he knew that he was wrong. He apologized numerous times, with tears running down his face, hoping that when she awoke, she would find it in herself to forgive him for all the hurt he had caused. He knew that if she even asked for a divorce he would give it, to repent for his sins. She deserved happiness and nothing less and he would make sure she got it, no matter the cost.

Khushi couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had gained consciousness the minute he stepped into the room, but had pretended to be asleep because she didn't have the strength to fight him anymore. She just wanted to be left alone, but instead, Arnav blew her mind by his confession and by the pain pouring through his words. She felt in her heart that his apology was sincere, and that she would forgive him immediately. How could she not? If she were in the same position, would she not do everything in her power to ensure the happiness of her sibling? She understood the value of family, the fear of loss, and intense need to protect her loved ones from harm. Wasn't Arnav one of her loved ones? She did love him, and she decided that she would do everything in her power to help him eradicate the virus Shyam from Anjaliji's life.

She slowly gripped his hand tighter and opened her eyes. He looked up to see her eyes peering down at him with love and forgiveness. He was shocked, completely dumbfounded. With everything he did to her, how could she still feel love toward him? She should hate him, but instead she was looking at him with love and forgiveness. Khushi still staring into his eyes, simply whispered, "I understand, and I am with you." Her exhaustion overcame her need to talk to him and she fell into oblivion once again. Arnav decided in that instant that he would tell his sister the truth of their marriage and deal with the consequences as they came. Khushi's happiness mattered to him just as much as his sister's happiness, and nothing would change unless he took drastic measures. His sister was madly in love with a facade, and she deserved to know the truth. He knew that with Khushi with him, he would be able to deal with all the problems in the world with a smile on his face.

Back at the RM, Anjaliji came back from her outing and walked to her Chote's room and found it empty. There was a weird feeling in her heart and she felt that something was wrong. She about to walk out when she saw her mother's kangans lying on the bed with a note crumpled next to them. She picked it up and read the note. She read of Shyam's indiscretions and realized that she had known something was wrong in her marriage all along. She knew in her heart that her husband was a sweet talking snake who used and abused her love for him for his own advantage. She also realized that the great sacrifice her Chote and Khushiji had given for her happiness, and decided to make sure that their sacrifice wouldn't go to waste. She quickly called the police and informed them of the wrongdoings of her snake of a husband and made sure he was put away for a long time. For the first time in years, she felt strong, she felt like the protector, as she should've been years ago. As the older sister, she should've been the one sheltering her Chote, but instead he saved her and lost himself.

Over the next few days, the family learned of the reasons behind the marriage and indiscretions of Shyam. They were shocked by his actions, and shamed by their own. They didn't know how they would make it up to Khushi, but they knew that they would die trying. With Khushi's health improving, she was allowed to go home and experience a new sasural, a welcoming sasural. Being the ever-forgiving Khushi, she forgave them in an instant and was back to her bubbly old self, always giving love and never asking for anything in return. Her and Arnav's relationship blossomed into a strong bond that had the foundation of trust, loyalty, and of course rivalry. "They didn't agree on much. In fact they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time and they challenged each other everyday... " (the notebook). They loved with everything they had and lived happily every after!
