I was definitely not disappointed with today's episode(except the last line of precap!) since I neither expected to get an easy confession or consummation scene.[ esp with only the promo shot! For all those who thought it was happening too fast.. Don't worry.. We have a break! Breathing space loong enough since misunderstanding clouds judgement today once again.
It all boils down to this.. You may be the world's biggest business tycoon or the best biwi in the world but at the end of the day. He is a MAN and she is a WOMAN! Vikram and Neha used the traits to keep our leads from confessing first.. Since whoever confesses first would be the one who's gonna pay the price for lifetime! Confession leads to nothing but a backseat in relationship where you are left with nothing but giving bhav to the other person! Actually TRUE! Tht's why it is always harder to take the first step!!
Instead of a scene by scene.. Iam just gonna go ahead and give perspectives here.
1) Today was nothing but a match played here with emotions..Yup!! Nothing except a scoreboard.
SCOREBOARD:
Misunderstanding and Anger VS Helpless and pushed to the core
2)Priya Kapoor is angry since she has not gotten reaction from her husband on her efforts to renovate the room or her appearance in the party. It gets only worse when Neha's ideology of not bending backwards first is grilled into her head. Inspite of her immediate reactions to not having issues with confessing first or about stopping him from eating Jalebi, she ends up listening to Neha and not acting upon it!. When she finally does get the chance to have a face to face convo, she lets her anger let in and giving him the cold shoulder. Doesn't even look at him to decode his expressions! Talk abt wrong timing. The same error she did at office when she didn't figure out all those expressions on his face and let his words to please Niharika take over the over all picture!Also her selective choice in listening to Neha. When Neha tells her abt the confidence of Ram's feelings for her, she rather gives sarcasm! But listens to her jealousy idea!!
3)Ram Kapoor is nervous and scared with the confession only to be compounded with Vikram's actions! Inspite of wanting to run to Priya, he ends up listening to Vikram and meeting Singhania reluctantly! Mistake 1. He ends up gobbling Jalebis for anxiety attack rather than enjoying it!! Even Vikram got it wrong!! Ram Kapoor was nothing but helpless. He couldn't help not talking with Priya. But Vikram does grill the msg of Women and their power for control! Doesn't stop him tho from saying Hello to Priya and his helplessness gets multiplied with her reaction!! Those expressions were speaking a million words but Priya was not gonna even look at his face, leave alone understanding it! AGain he gets back on track asking Vikram the rationality in playing these games since his purpose of arriving here was to confess to Priya.. Holds back after hearing Vikram's gyan. Mistake 2
JEALOUSY PLAN 1:
Ram goes to watch the match in a corner only to increase Priya's frustration and belief about her non importance! Priya garners more belief that it was nothing but a mistake to even arrive at the party!
The plan of leaving party by informing is executed. When she gives him the message to leave, he infact only requests her to stay for the last 4 overs. Priya does the smart move to ask abt Dhoni and Ram takes it in stride and lets her know the status. Only to watch Priya go gaga over Dhoni as the complete package!! We have all done tht.. haven't we? Praise another man to get tht attention and jealousy!! But talk abt timing!! Here's a 40 year old realizing his love for his wife, flying back within 24 hours to surprise her and is making the world upside down to get his confession done. His wife goes praising the Indian captain as the perfect MAN!! Oh no!! Message conveyed and Ram becomes J!! But to get down with the vishesh tipni about him not gonna become Dhoni by watching Cricket.. indirectly not becoming the perfect man!! WAY BELOW THE BELT!! Inspite of it, Ram almost lets his guard down when she is leaving only to look at Vikram who is vigorously shaking his head. And bang.. He lets her go!
JEALOUSY PLAN 2:
Ronit Roy, the celebrity lawyer is in the party!! Priya uses the opportunity to make Ram jealous and
again goes overboard. She was getting it all right when doing all tht fan actions before VIkram and Ram!! Her actions were hitting home!! And she knew tht well becoz this time, she looked up at Ram's reactions!! She praises his handsomeness and mentions WELL KEPT!! Ofcourse, having to mention abt his gym activities atleast twice a day, not over eating and drinking!! The icing on the cake is going ahead with meeting and fanning around Ronit Roy to induce j! She is PRIYA KAPOOR.. NOT PRIYA SHARMA..And tht whole thing of flirting or sweet talking with Ronit made me cringe..Tht overboarding on Fitness was again way below the belt!! And what's with the amnesia of not mentioning weight and that too to a celebrity abt your husband.. UFF!! Again.. not well done!! Another plan that went horribly wrong, this time not only with the timing but also the place and not to mention berating in public!
THE STAGE IS SET
So all the actions and reactions have led to Priya walking out of the party after those nice sweet talks with Ronit. The biwis are staying home cribbing abt the husband's disappearance and non arrival at home! Vikram does the final nail by stopping him from calling Priya if he wants to end up his clone by doing every hour reporting. And reminds how he flew from US to confess but ended up watching Priya making him j by flirting!đ yehi baaki tha..
Priya resists calling him in anger and here Ram is driving his car still worried and wondering.. when Neha informs her tht the husbands are infact having fun at the party instead, she gets really upset!
The screen ends with the couple equally upset but unaware of the other's true intentions!! Isn't that it was all about? Misunderstanding compounded with each other's actions and reactions..
FINAL SHOWDOWN!!
The precap showed a blown up Ram who is visibly mad. He blurts out how Priya needed to go to Ronit for laughter and Dhoni for something (I couldn't hear it properly!)What was she going to do with the 40 year old unfit guy?. So he would go on and arrange a candle light dinner. The last line about arranging a suite in case she wants to do anything more incase. and Priya pushing him away and screamin him to stop it!
My final word : Agreed it was way below the belt and actually outright cheap! But except the last line about Suite!! There was nothing wrong in his outburst. Here he was finally letting someone in his life, someone who he had never expected to enter his life and trusted and loved her enough to leave work and fly over to surprise. Go through heaven and helll to make the right confession preparations but ended up getting hit where it hurts the most.. His unfit body and his wife flirting with another man!! THere's nothing worse than that!! Tht was his whole world tumbling down laughing at his hopes of finally finding the right person!!
Priya was absolutely right in her anger and misunderstanding which was circumstances based. The situations arouse such and she chose to look at Ram's expressions not at all times.. Her assumptions and circumstances led her to believe Ram didn't care enough to see her efforts while he actually loved her and wanted to thank her for tht! Her cold shoulder refused to see the hurt in his eyes and helplessness and confusion at her reactions!! They both chose to not hear their hearts but let their minds be played by their love gurus who were pitting their challenges above friendship!
So today was nothing but a showdown of misunderstandings!! But there is hope! Since these two are not gonna continue listening to their friends but love each other too much to let go of their egos! In their bedroom ,they don't have their friends to direct their behavior but themselves. So come Monday, we would see fire and spark and I hope the worst of the dialogues was what we saw!! Then there would be clearing of the darkness, the misunderstanding and the stupidity of their actions. Only the biggest of them all would prevail .. LOVE!!
So stop sweating over the episode since the best is yet to come!! It cannot be such smooth sailing after 6 months of refusal to look at any hope of their marriage and relationship! We have the tadka done today and the delicious feast would happen!! Reserve your spot to enjoy it!!
