Great post and i think much needed in this time of ASR bashing.
If people signed up to see Arnav Khushi romancing 24/7 they signed up for the wrong show. This is the story of a very flawed grey character and how love changes his life and teaches him how to live, love and trust again. While i can see why people are upset and angry with him now, and so am i to an extent, its statements like he is beyond redemption that make me really mad.
I think the problem with this track is even people who are willing to watch the hate angle between the leads are getting put off by the all round torture being meted out to Khushi. That is really frustrating. If she had Payal, Nani and her family by her side i think the hate track between the leads would have a better impact than this saas bahu saga.
Anyways i am pretty sure Khushi will forgive him once she realizes the reason he married her. She loves him despite all his past acts because at some level she sees him for the true Arnav he is.
I think the CV's need to not drag this anymore. They have established that ASR has misunderstood, that he is torn between his love and trying to hate her, that he is guilty and tormented seeing her in pain and being shunned by all. Next week onwards the story needs to move forward in some positive direction - either Arnav getting some small hint that he may have misunderstood Khushi or Khushi finding out the reason behind this marriage and hatred.

Oh Man!! Can anyone explain me how the hell is Arnav Singh Raizada alive!?

Elysia and Sunaina - He has been broken, shattered and completely devasted from this one truth then! Shyam was a father figure - Khushi was the love of his life and Anjali his sister - how is this man surviving!? I am shocked to say the least!

This man is as complex as it gets. I thought it was just his past that haunted him - but coming to realize his present is even worse. The three most important people of his life - entangled in a mess that is going to be just so difficult to sort out. Forget Khushi - I can now understand the mental and emotional torture that he must be going through - all alone.

And Elysia : U are right! The truth is not going to be very easily accepted if Shyam is held in such high-regard. Now I don't even think if Arnav would have told Anjali the truth and she would have listened - much could have come out of it. No doubt his trust on people is so badly shaken that however much he may want to give Khushi a chance, he withdraws back and covers it up with his hatred!

I truly feel for this man! Today he has won me over again!

I disagree to a certain extent..

I understand Arnav Singh Raizada but I do NOT under any circumstance support him! I admire the way he loves and respects his sister and feels the need to protect her at all times but I simply can't understand how this will protect her without harming the lives of many others. So let's assume Arnav was right and his brother-in-law was cheating on his sister by forming some sort of a secret relationship with Khushi. He wants to punish the woman in charge of destroying his sister's lives so what does he do? He gets married to her. For a girl like Khushi it's literally her dream to have the perfect wedding, having the blessing of the elders and generally fulfil her marital duties. That dream was shattered the moment she agreed to this sham of a marriage. The girl who had to face losing her parents as a young kid has now had to do so twice in her life. She then makes the ultimate sacrifice for her sister and naturally her sister is upset with her so that sacrifice is so far almost in vain as it isn't even appreciated. On top of that each day of her marital life is hell for her as she faces the hatred of her husband, the cold behaviour of her sister and not to forget the constant taunts she receives from the Raizada family.

So to sum all that up..
What was her supposed crime? Oh yeah, she likes a married guy. So in return Arnav is punishing her as she loses her parents for the second time in her life, she loses the strong bond she shared with her sister, her first (maybe last) marriage is an absolute joke and in addition to all of this she has to face members of the family who refuse to acknowledge her presence. She has absolutely NOTHING going for her right now. Cheating is bad but making someone lose the will to live is probably just as bad or even worse. For God's sake he made her sleep outside in the COLD! This guy really doesn't learn from his mistakes now does he..

My only hope is that Khushi Kumari Gupta takes a very very long time to forgive him and doesn't accept his apology that easily as in her nature to do so. I think a jealousy track is the PERFECT way to make him realise his mistake once the truth is all finally out!

LOL. That's why I can never condemn him, Anna. I can love him and hate him, but never condemn him. He has won my heart from the moment that I saw him with Anjali the first time. There's a boy in there somewhere - a lost boy who has had no one to guide him, to show him what a man really is, what right choices could be made, even if it means pain.
He was left to his own devices. He had to shape himself from his own constructed beliefs and rules - which, again, were shaped by his circumstances. He was only a teenage boy. If you leave a teenage boy to define what's right and wrong, what makes a man, without any reference book or guide - then what will you get?
Honestly, people should at least try to understand his mentality, his character. Sigh.
Anyway, I'm just happy that the CVs created someone as layered as him. I'm sick of all the stereotypical male leads nowadays. Arnav is refreshing and unique.

As far as Arnav is concerned she didn't just LIKE a married man. She was having an AFFAIR with his MARRIED brother-in-law. There's a difference. It wasn't just any guy. It was the husband of his sister. The sister whom he adores more than anything in this world. Do I think his punishment is extreme? You bet. But Arnav has always been an extremist since day one. She merely showed up at his fashion show and he gave the tape to the media because he thought she was from a rival company.
I don't understand why people are suddenly so upset about how extreme his actions are now. His actions have ALWAYS been extreme. He almost kissed Khushi and was upset about it and what does he do? Get engaged to Lavanya.
He acts irrationally and in the heat of the moment. He doesn't think about anyones emotions, because he doesn't want to think about emotions. As far as he knows he hasn't MADE a mistake. He thinks Khushi has betrayed everyone in the RM, and obviously when he learns of the mistake I am sure he will repent. But as of now? He feels he is justified in punishing her. He obviously doesn't enjoy it, but he thinks it is necessary.

@Elysia :

I understand! Everyone claims to understand Arnav but no one actually does. He is not that easy to understand but when one actually does you can't help but love him. I can never hate him because he never gives me a reason too. As long as he is in line with his character, I do not need to hate him.

I am glad the CVs carefully etched out a character as his and yet maintained the sanctity of it! What he started with - he is still there and I love that in any story. So many layers, so many hidden secrets, so much pain and hurt - who cannot love such a character. ;))

I agree to a certain extent too :]
I don't support Arnav's decisions - regardless of how much I understand him. He's wrong. Just like Khushi was wrong. Just like Shyam was wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right. By marrying Khushi because of her supposed betrayal, he didn't do anything right.
It's just that I believe both parties could have avoided the current situation if they'd only been honest with each other from the start. What's the point in lying/keeping secrets?
Khushi should've exposed Shyam. Arnav should really just tell Khushi why he married her.
But then, if everyone would just be honest in a show, then there wouldn't be life altering issues. And without life altering issues, there wouldn't be a story. And without a story, there wouldn't be a show, and we're back to square one.
I agree that shutting her out of his room was wrong. However, I do understand his reaction. I just don't agree with it being the RIGHT reaction 😆 Dunno if that's making any sense.
Sorry for intruding. Your response was probably to Anna's post 😳

I was going to say the same thing. Because "she liked a married guy" was the first step wrong in understanding the situation persay. Nevertheless you have cleared all the points I guess, nothing left for me to add :))

Especially because you can't simply change a man. You alter pieces of him, teach him to be more patient, to consider things that he might not have considered before, etc., but you can't change a man entirely - and definitely not in just 8 months.

@Elysia : By all means continue because I would have said the same thing.

@Hindulyf : I do not support Arnav's decisions - he is in the wrong and that is not even a question to think about. Khushi may not have leaked Shyam's secret but I strongly believe that she needs to know the reason for the marriage.

My post is just to say that I do understand why he does and what he does. If he threw her out of the room in the cold - I did not like it - but then he is ASR - that is what he does. Takes rash decisions first and then repents them later. That is who he is.

And just one correction - Khushi dint like a married man - she was having an illicit affair with his brother - in - law according to him - so he is hurting her for betrayal and hurt - some for what he feels and some for anjali.
